Disabled Woman SHOCKED at Her OVERGROWN Lawn Transformation - I MOWED and EDGED for FREE - Part 1

- Today you will see me help out a disabled woman get her overgrown lawn and edges back into shape.
I had a lady reach out to me asking if I could come help get her mother’s yard back in shape. Her mom is disabled and she just moved back in to help her out.
She was going to mow but couldn’t get her mother’s lawn mower working and didn’t have the money to go get it fixed.
I told her I would come out and get it cleaned up completely free of charge for them.
This job was located about 20 minutes outside of Wichita, KS in a small town. It was a windy day, but being surrounded by farm land, there was nothing to break this wind and as you’ll see it seemed like a consistently strong gust.
This job took me a total of 6 hours. 4 were spent cutting the edges back and the rest of the time was spent on the mowing and trimming.
The edges took me so long because they were really overgrown and the dirt was built up so much that my edger blade wasn’t even going completely through it.
This made it really hard for me to get a perfect edge, so I did mess up in a few places but I know it’s in MUCH better condition than before.
Doing this work not only helps the homeowner out but it also makes the sidewalks much more accessible for those that need it and it will help tremendously with rain water drainage.
I’ve received a lot of questions asking why the city isn’t taking care of these sidewalks, curb, or the grass growing in between those. Here in this part of Kansas it’s actually all the homeowners responsibility to take care of what is in front of their house.
And as you can see, corner lots like this are a HUGE job to take care of and it’s really hard to keep up with.
I’m happy that I was able to help this family out because they really needed it.
Be sure to stay tuned for part 2!

Haha I can give you some advice!
@@SBMowing Sb Mowing I'mma ask a question
You have inspired me sir. Looked at my elderly neighbors lawn that hasn’t been cut all summer and decided to cut it. Spent all afternoon cutting, edging and trimming. It was more satisfying than cutting my own lawn. Keep up the good work.
Wow that is really kind of you! I'd love to see some before and afters! Thanks for watching!
You have me teary-eyed!! How very kind of you! Bless your sweet heart. 💕
That was good of u sir....🙏💜
Amazing!!!!
Hats off to you Sir..❤️
Wow,man! Some of these large corporations should sponsor you to do this kind of work for elderly and disabled people! You are truly a blessing to them. You could assemble a team and knock out a lot of yards in no time. It is so difficult for many elderly and disabled people to do this themselves because of physical limitations and many of them don't have family to help them. You have a kind heart and a generous spirit.
That would be really cool and helpful for sure! Thanks for watching!
Could! Yet never will unless something in it for them.
I couldn’t have suggested anything better! They really should sponsor him! Maybe he can turn this into a large operation! He puts his heart soul and sweat into these time after time
My backyard looks like the before shot for many of these videos, but I’ve been inspired and am now the owner of a brand new brush cutter, goggles and ear muffs. Tomorrow I tackle the jungle!
That's great to hear! Spencer is inspiring as well as fun to watch as he gets the job done. Your yard is going to be beautiful!!!
Send me some before and after photos on instagram!!!!
Good on ya!
It's been a week!
Update?
@@wesss9353 I’m daunted but not defeated! One day was a bit ambitious. I needed a long nap in between.
Is it just me? It seems more satisfying watching you mow these lawns than doing my own. Ha...weird. Thanks again Spencer!
Haha glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for watching!
Probably because yours isn’t out of control like the ones he has to edge and scrape etc.
@@SWalker71 Yeah, sure, Paul...we'll go with that. Haha. 😉
I was going to comment that I hire someone to do my lawn but volunteer to do my friends lawns all the time!
I’ve read several posts, and can’t top what anyone has given you for positive feedback. I’m an elder, used to love mowing and trimming. I could go out there, but I would hurt myself. So it’s angels like you who are sent to help out. Thank you.
Happy to help out. Thanks for watching!
That was much work. God bless you.
WOW, looks like you edged the whole town! Great job.
It sure seemed like it haha! Thanks for watching!
This is a great act of kindness. If the world was made of people like him imagine the harmony we'd all live in.
Also, this is giving me flashbacks of when I was a home owner manicuring my lawn every weekend and LOVING it. Watching this is making me fiend because edging the curbside and lawn was my favorite part. It's like a haircut, if you don't line it up after the cut it doesn't look nice.😍
Look at them's edges, man. Another mighty fine job as usual! Looking forward to part 2.
Thanks again!
@@SBMowing me: *an autistic 22 year old with ocd tendencies patiently waiting for part 2* those edges are so clean thou-!
I know it is a lot of hard work on your part, but it is so relaxing hearing the shovel on the concrete.
It really is! Thanks for watching!
Great job man. I didn't realize you were so close to me. We sglhould get together.
Hey that would be super cool! I've heard a lot of good things of you from Don Hoover.
Brian I was going to make the same comment. Spencer & You with maybe your son as well. Maybe @LawnCare Juggernaut can help on a big job as well with power washing at the end.
Yeah, you sglhould! 😜
Great job! I live in Iowa and I understand the miniature dust bowl! Heat doesn’t help. Thank you for everything that you do!
This would be a fun collaboration
Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated by the elderly, the disabled, etc. Thank you so much for what you do. You are an awesome person.
Happy to help out! Some people really need it.
Some of those “edges” were more like canyon walls. Great work!
They were! Thank you for watching.
Even as a very young girl I loved mowing grass. Now, in the elderly category, I still love it. Edging is a special fascination for me so I enjoyed this video even more than most. Thank you for what you do and for sharing the videos!!
Happy to help out! I'm glad I can share this with all of you!
Nothing looks better than a nice edged lawn!

Me too, been mowing my own lawn for over 50 years, just takes me twice as long now. Spencer, you do a wonderful job. God bless you
Am a keen gardener my self and really enjoy it by no means a professional gardener at all, I think what you are doing is amazing and for some (especially the disabled and older generation) it's can be life changing, it's amazing to know you can just relax in your own garden (I live in England) when the weathers nice it's my favourite past time, you my friend are a absolute god send. Keep up your brilliant work pal
Just a little bit of kindness really goes a long way! Thank you for watching and all your support!
USA, but same regards! 👍👍
Hell of a lot of work. Great job
Much appreciated!
Keep up the great work Spencer and I pray you have a wonderful and blessed day
I will! Thank you so much and I hope you have an amazing day as well!
Spencer, this was the "perfect" video to start off my day right. I really love how you break up the edging into sections and do each section totally start to finish before moving to next section. I know this is for good filming and it is great. It is so satisfying to see what the bext section starts as and at same time the finished section next to it. You have a GOOD CARING HEART and nature. You are making a difference in this world for the better. I love hearing your equipment sounds even the broom as you go. Please don't switch to music (I dropped the channels who did). Unless it will get you more subscribers of course. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents and the uplift to my day.
Hey thank you for the comment! Im glad you like my recording style! Thanks for watching!
I love how you do small sections at a time. Seems to save time as well as being eye pleasing.
It takes me a bit longer since I have to switch out tools so much. But it does make for really good film work!
@@SBMowing it’s totally worth it - you have some of the most satisfying lawn care videos out there. Great work with the tools and the camera!
Excellent detailing around the curbs as always 👍 It is always so satisfying when you scrape away all that overgrown grass. I look forward to part 2!
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for all the work you do for the elderly and disabled people in the world. God Bless you sir.
Happy to help out!
Great work Spencer. Im a home owner in Hawaii, Oahu, Kaneohe Town. I maintain my property myself and have been since I was a kid. Im 50 now and still enjoy every aspect. Really calming. I enjoy watching and listening to your vlogs with the cleaning sounds. I also like to purchase new toys for the maintenance of my yard. I purchased a Stihl trimmer straight shaft with bump feed, a home owner blower a stihl chainsaw AND while watching you I REALLY WANT an edger set up. Your videos Spencer has got me motivated to make a new purchase. Keep up the videos. I am subscribed.
Hey thank you so much for the support! I hope to visit there someday!
A. I appreciate what you and others like you (Al Bladez) in Fl do for people.
B. Your video was entertaining.
C. You earned a sub.
Hey thank you so much for the support Robert!
SO satisfying! Thanks for for helping these gals out. You made their lives a little easier taking the worry off them. God bless you.♡

Now that is an honest day’s work! Great job
Thanks for watching!
I like watching edging like the way you film this. Well done.
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching.
Its amazing what a good edge can do to a yard! Fantastic work.
Thank you very much!
I think the edging is my favorite -getting to see the sidewalk underneath-as you’ve mentioned people walking in that neighborhood I’m sure really appreciate it as well! Looking forward to part 2!
I totally agree! It will be here very soon!
Great job as always!
Spencer does it right!
Wow thank you so much!
Absolute perfect job with the edging!! Looks so much nicer!! A++!!
Thank you!
Amazing difference. I enjoy your videos and see the changes you make in people lives. Thank you.

This is what I call way beyond being a good neighbor. I just hope, that her neighbors will hire you to do their yard- and lawn work and recommend you tho their friends. thank you, young man, for showing us what a kind heart is able to accomplish.
Just happy to help out! Thanks for watching!
Man if I lived in your neck of the woods I would be honored to come work for you. Keep doing good! Always stay humble and kind!!
Wow that would be really cool! Thank you for the kindness.
Awesome job. It’s so very kind of you to help people in need. I really enjoy watching your videos. Your kind and caring heart will take you far. Stay safe and well 👏❤️🇬🇧
Thank you so much Cindy. You as well!
So satisfying to watch! Looks great.... well done sir.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job! I was glad you mentioned the rain water drainage issues with the edging being so overgrown.
I know when the rain starts to back up over my driveway that it needs a good edging!!!
It's one of the biggest benefits to this job for sure!
That's a lot of edging! Nice work! The depth of the soil/turf at the curb line was unreal. I am looking forward to part 2.
Thank you very much! It was really deep!
Ton of work, looks amazing. Well done.
Thanks!
Great hard work. It pays off!!👏 and ya definitely have to work with the wind.
Most definitely! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for doing this for the community. I live in West Texas and the wind blows like that all the time!!! Keep up the great work!
Thanks, will do!
Very nice job on the edging. the local roads department will love you by cleaning up the curb and edging proper storm water flow helps keep the roadside from getting damaged in the winter from water having to run out into the driving lane seeping in between blacktop and concrete and freezing causing damage keep up the good work
Thank you so much!
Oh my goodness. This job was intense and so wonderful to watch. Still with all the wind you managed to do an amazing job.
Wow thank you so much!
Home owners responsibility is another way of saying that the local government doesn't have the manpower or money to be responsible.
Exactly. That's the way it is in most small towns in the US. Especially those with a population of less than 10,000 people. The small population simply doesn't generate enough revenue to pay for this type of work. Labor alone would cost the town tens of thousands of dollars annually. That's money that can be put into repairing roads, maintaining schools, and funding the police and fire departments. It's not as much of a problem for cities of 500,000+ people. More people=more tax revenue and more state and federal aid.
Yup!
@@magic8ball1982 I come from small community. We have community development groups that helps keep up the community. We still have our share of crime. There's just no reason not to help you neighbors.
@@williamfindspeople4341 I agree with neighbors helping each other. It's just that people tend to blame the local government rather than taking responsibility themselves.
Those opening views are a visual reminder of pioneer stories of constantly blowing wind and dirt. Nice job to have picked to help at. Another nice aspect, at this time of year, it should last a long time. That was a lot of cleanup edging. Nice work.
It should last a while for sure! Thanks for watching!
Good 🌅☕you're doin a good thing God Bless u as always keep on mowing be safe✌
Thanks for watching!
A truely spectacular job. Looking forward to part 2.
I live in Australia & the home owners over here are responsibile for their front yards as well. Where I actually live is in an apartment block where we have a gardener come & mow the lawns but I wish I had my own home where I could do the gardening & lawns.
Keep up the awesome work.
Straya! :)

Would love to see the actual client’s reaction, and the completed lawn. Would watch way more videos if that were the case. 😊
Strangely enough, some people would accuse him of using the people to get more subscribers. It has happened in other channels like this one.
And some people are embarrassed to be in youtube. They just won't do it. And these type of gardeners who do it for free, respect that and don't ask them to do it.
Sheila, the way you can get to see the reactions is to take a page from Spencer's playbook and find someone who needs help. Then help them. I found a single mom needing help and have been helping remove a downed tree from her yard. It has been a joy to see the relief on her face with every load I take away from her yard.
I may not ever show their reactions. The reason is that I want to respect their privacy and there is a lot of hate in the comments towards these people since they can't keep up their lawn.
@@carmenmariacortesmarin2664 --EXACTLY!! The theme is cleaning up FOR folks not able/too overwhelmed to do for themselves, we can all know they are grateful without showing their faces.
Stop looking for condescension porn. What part of "disabled woman" don't you understand?
Looking forward to part 2!
It will be here Thursday morning!
I love how his working method is ‘Whatever he feels like’. He mixes up how he does things and appears to do it however he feels like it. I need to try to do that more.
That was a ton of edging you did. The dirt coupled with the wind had to have made for a filthy day. You made that yard beautiful, though! Great job!
It was filthy for sure! luckily I was able to stay upwind!
Awesome job , it looks like Van Gogh repainted the landscape.
Thank you very much!
Excellent job so far, looking forward to the next one! Thank you for posting.
Thanks for watching!
I can’t admire enough people like you with community spirit generous to elderly and stabled people , keep up the good work , God will reward you more than you give back, I pray to that .
Great job! Can’t help but wonder how the homeowner is going to be able to keep it up without a mower.
Spark plug, fuel cleaner and air filter are often all that is required to get a mower going again after it sat too long.
I may actually go see if I can help them get it running!
Nice! And that is just part 1. Definitely looking forward to seeing the magic you'll work on the rest of the yard.
Will be here Thursday morning!
Thanks to paying it forward. You did an amazing job getting the yard back up to a sharp look again. The neighbors were happy to see your good job of lawn service done.
Happy to help. Thanks for watching!
I don’t even have a yard to mow but I love watching the skills and transformation 💖😍
You guys ROCK ‼️
Another great video!! 6 hours on a lawn seems like a long time, but the ending looks great
It was a very long time. It turned out great!
Damn you barley started your CZcams channel and your making bank congratulations you deserve it
I hate taking care of my own lawn but here I am watching some guy taking care of a lawn.
Thank you! Just happy to help out!
You are a blessing to many people who are not able to care for their yards! Thank you for your service!!!

People looking out for each other like that makes the world better, and it's more important than one might realize.
Corner was the best part.
Agreed!
You make the world a better place with your kindness
It is a fine thing you are doing to help this homeowner. Sometimes it’s hard for people to ask for help. Especially the elderly and/or disabled. Your work was very professional. Thank you for helping. Your good deed will come back to you 10 fold.
Thank you so much Connie! I really appreciate the kindness
Spencer, another great job-especially for the 2 senior ladies who weren't able to get the work done themselves! 👍❤️ Doug
Doing that in the middle of a Kansas summer makes what you do even more impressive.
It’s easy to forget from watching this video but that is a LOT of hard backbreaking work you are doing. And to do it free on behalf of others just makes it more satisfying to watch. You are truly someone’s blessing.
Happy to help out! Thanks for watching!
I'm sure everyone would have a beautifully manicured lawn if they could. People get themselves in jams for one reason or another. I'm just so happy that without judgment you just go help people! God bless you!
I have a child with a chronic illness and my sweet neighbor mows our yard from time to time. It is such a big help. It is VERY appreciated and I feel like people like him and yourself help to make this world a better place. Thank you so much for what you are doing. ❤
You are a gentleman who is kind enough to do this work for free for a disabled person who could neither do it herself nor pay someone to do it for her. May you also get the paying customers such a gentleman deserves.
Thanks for watching!
Spencer. Honestly, you're the best. You find someone in need and you help, no bragging or self-congratulations you just step up and do it. I love that your channel and views are growing but I also think you would keep helping regardless. You're a rockstar.
I appreciate that! Thank you for watching!
The OCD in me loves the care and work you put in to making beautiful edges! Thank you for taking the time to give someone who needs it a lovely yard!
Glad you like it and I'm happy to help out! Thanks for watching!
It's great to see a young person work hard - and from the goodness of his heart! Thanks!
Wow, thank you!
I really love what you're doing! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you from a fellow Kansas resident. All the people you help makes such a difference in their lives. Being disabled sucks and we can’t do the things we use to but when someone shows that they care makes all the difference in the world!!😊👏🏼👏🏼
Four hours on just the edging!!!!! It must have felt as though you wouldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel!! They look great…. I know the people you are helping appreciate the effort. You really did a great job!
I was a lot haha! Thanks for watching!
Grate Job on sideways & Curbs. You spead it up for all to See quickly.! Thanks, 😁👍🇺🇲
There are not enough resources. People are stepping up in situations like this to help out. It makes me happy to see.
Thank you.
Also, I LOVE the fact that you bag clippings. So many channels pout there doing free cuts, but most just mulch and spread. It looks so much better when you bag and don't leave clumps of grass. Mulching is fine when the grass is short and well kept. Not so much when you're cutting a massively neglected lawn. Keep up the great work!
I agree! I will always bag the tall ones and always mulch the normally maintained ones. Thanks for watching!
It’s so nice to see a young man take pride in his work. You did a fantastic job!
WOW! 😳 Impressive edging! Great job (as always)! 💖
Thanks Judy!
I did a lot of mowing and lawn care while growing up. I remember mowing my grandma’s yard and my dad told me to go perfect the shadows because when I was done not only the lawn looked nice and clean but all of the shadows cast by the trees and foliage was so much crisper and define as well:
So nice of You to do this for this Lady. Thank you
Looks so good. Massive improvement. I'm sure they appreciated it
They did!
You're a good man, thinking of others. This world would be a better place if we had more people like you.
I agree with you about it being the residents responsible for the curb because actually the property starts at the center of the road and goes back to the alley
Just clearing the sidewalks, makes such a difference.
This is satisfying because the grass is so FLUFFY instead of being weeds like some of the others.
I’ve never seen a young person work this hard.
Amazing job! I think it turned out just awesome and especially working under such windy conditions on top of it! Can't wait for part two! 😄
Thanks a bunch!
That was a kind thing you did for this family continue to do good and God will always bless you.
That was a dusty job. You did a generous thing by helping out these people. Look forward to Part Two. God bless.

What a blessing you are to your community! God bless you Spencer.
I appreciate that!
You give and you will prosper one thousand times.
Thank you for all that you do for the elderly and disabled. I am blessed to have my children helping us. Everyone needs someone like you in their life.
I really enjoy watching the Earth Angel men who do lawn care for the elderly and disabled! This is such a beautiful outcome! Keep the videos coming!
It looks, like this ladies lot spans half a city block. This is incredible, for one homeowner to maintain soooo much sidewalk.
Nice job, I wish more people were like you. My neighbors only want to be paid to do anything, so I helped one nearby who no body else would help. I am older than him but his yard was overgrown, I knocked on the door and asked if he minded that I mow and weed his yard, he hesitated but I told him I do a good deed every week and his was this week's deed. I said okay and I put about 3 hours into it, got it knocked down and cleared the walkways front and back. It felt good to do that.
