Then, in the middle of this pandemic, I accidentally stumbled on The 1975, and I have been since enjoying this music as if it was 50 years ago.

I was a freshman at RISD in 1980, and it was the period when the Talking Heads, who had attended and graduated only a few years before, were exploding on the scene, but they still, occasionally, played at CBGBs, where I was lucky to see them play, along with bands like The Ramones in a really tiny, intimate space. There is no place on the planet, and there will never be a place for music like CBGBs.
I remember listening to this song in bed with my ex girlfriend. She was from Sweden, I was living in London at the time. We ended up doing long distance during the pandemic and this song became a significant part of our relationship. After all these years, I still love her to this day and this song will always remind me of that night.

Just the ongoing narrative of a boy in girl deciding what they love more: The drugs or themselves... The answer is a place in which both happened. The whole song is filled with overly sincere lyrics, my favorite writing style from matty.
