Those who complain about the maintenance have never been to other bike parks. Place stays pretty good for the most part all year in my opinion. This place is the reason I even got serious about mountain biking. Love it. Awesome trails. Good people. Only wish it wasn’t 3 hrs from my house lol.
Yes, only 75 miles for me, but still at least 2 1/2 hours each way. Totally worth the time though. Fun trails, really nice staff, huge difference from some other nearby bike parks.
Completely agree. I've been to Mountain Creek, Killington, Thunder, Highland, Trestle, Kanuga and Bryce all late in the season except Highland. Bryce had no better or worse trail conditions than the others. I don't think people realize the resources needed to maintain a bike park. They can't be perfect, otherwise they wouldn't make money and we wouldn't have them. And mountains are constantly being shopped by erosion and clearing all the rocks would require a 100 man crew working 24/7.
Everytime we go to Bryce, we tell ourselves. That we are going to ride a little bit of everything. And everytime we end up spending most of the day on Brew Thru and Ol' Fashioned because they are just so much fun! Love the vids keep it up!
@@KestrelYI Don't see where anyone said they were owed anything. I think they were simply stating that he doesn't post and presumably miss his vids, like many of us.
I gotta say that since starting to follow you in December (yeah, I went back and watched all of your "50 State Shred") this is by far my most favorite video. Sarah's commentary, your singing, the straight-forward "here we are at our best AND when we fall" approach makes you (and Sarah) my favorite trail video hosts! Keep it up! [Happy belated Birthday. you two make me smile!]
My daughter is 4yo. Hearing your daughter laugh out of shear joy while flying down the mountain damn near brought tears to my eyes. Hope Ill be posting MTB vids with mine in a couple years.
This park is absolutely incredible regardless of it's small elevation change. It's one of Virginia's best kept mtb secrets. I suspect that the cat comes out of the bag after this video!
I really enjoy this channel. As someone who started riding trails in 1992 at WCU in the hills of Western NC, it's exciting to see channels like this. I am 51 years old and recovering from serious illness that began in 2018. The first tool on my list of physical recovery besides diet was a bike. I shall not go quiet into this good night! I WILL be riding trails like this before the end of the year. God Bless Everyone!
Hey Brian, this park looks fun as hell. Sara's jumping skills have improved dramatically. She seems more confident in every aspect. This is bucket list material for sure. (note to self: go early in the season) Bob T.
Watched while eating my frosted flakes in the drivers seat in my van getting ready for day 2 in silver star bike park, and a bit late but and big happy birthday to Sara🥳🥳
Made it down to Bryce this spring to do a vid with the locals and was super impressed. Hooch trail (new Double black jump trail built by Gravity Logic) was the perfect addition to that park so that now there's something for everyone from Beginner to Pro!
Brian, I’ve seen your vids and what you ride. This looks like something I’d ride with my timid limitations. You are a gracious guest - and a great rep for this wonderful sport. Love all your vids irregardless of severity. God bless.
Thanks for sharing with us this amazing video and this beautiful park that i never seen like it. I loved the bike because of your videos, so I hope for continuity.
Bryce is a great park! Jumps and drops are super fun! Definitely linking pickleback and carbomb right after the toilet bowl is the most fun, picklebomb for short. I definitely think you'd have more fun once your more comfortable jumping! Definitely more of a freeride type park. You guys will love Snowshoe!
I took my son snowboarding there last Winter and we've had lots of our bike buds sing praises but I have yet to go there. Headed to Idaho for a few weeks at the end of the month so maybe I'll make the three hour drive to Bryce in the fall.
Now that's my type of bike park, those first two trails are amazing, that has to be one of the best parks I've seen you at. I could ride that park all day long. Oh I had to watch it again it was that good. Thanks for keeping me entertained.
Sarah! When you corner left, your right foot is the foot that is the furthest back on your petals. THIS is why you’re so good cornering left, but not right. When you corner right, switch your petal position in the way that you have your left foot farthest back instead of your right foot. You’ll have much better control and confidence!
So cool you were at our local spot, think I was one of the guys at the begging hoochin it lol. Bryce definitely deserves more attention for what it's made with a fairly short elevation figure. Hope to see you back soon!
Was just there last Friday (7/23/21) and Old Fashioned is epic! Customizing your route as Brew Thru + Car Bomb drop at the end is still my favorite run. We love Bryce.
"A whole lot lot nothing" as she rolls the drop that can be sent huge, rolls the whaletail which can also be gapped, and then rides around the big drop by the magic carpet 🤔 yall skipped the step up on pickleback, if you roll from the drop with no brakes you will clear it
Brian, I just visited Bryce Resort w/my family and wish I would have seen your video beforehand! I might have tried some of the other black diamonds! I loved Pickleback although I couldn't get up the nerve to send the drop. I rode the bypass too. What's humbling was pre-teen kids on the lift telling me to just send it. LOL My GF loved Old-Fashioned. Definitely a long, fun flow trail where you feel like you got your money's worth after the longish lift ride.
I really like the way you have the audio set up in these, now. It's so much nicer to hear the commentary from your co-riders! Do you record their audio separately, or is it wirelessly transmitted to the GoPro? Also, I see you're sporting some Podium Wear apparel. That's who I use for the NICA team I coach out here in Florida. Good stuff! And of course, Happy Birthday Sarah!
Funny, I rode a lift with BKXC that day. I should have asked what your channel was. I (guy with daughter who rides in fancy boxer shorts) didn't think about it talking to you in the parking lot at the end of the day . Glad I could find it. Bryce has limited land so it can only do so much. It's an old resort. The biggest downside (maybe only given what it has to work with) is the lift. It's slow. Otherwise, it doesn't have vert, but it does has descent variety and my kids love that it's more approachable than somewhere like Snowshoe. And I saw the MD Watershed video as well. Cheers.
Bryce is my go to I dont understand why people get so salty about the trails there easy and a blast to ride the first place I ever started on was blue mountain and that place is horrible with trail maintenance
I live 2 hours away. Only been riding for about a year. Was hesitant to go bc I’m shipping out to boot camp in a month and don’t have full face helmet etc. I’m definitely going to make a trip now.
Thanks for coming out and sampling our trails! Glad you enjoyed it
Sarah: "Its a little bit of a drop, but we got it!" Brian: ...rides around... haha
thank you ive been trying to find his name xD now i know lol

Actually great ppl. Agreed. Hit bike parks all over. None much different

Sarah's exuberance is contagious like the Single Track Sampler used to be.
Used to be? He still is

Man what a fun spot! Happy Belated birthday Sarah!! Love Sarah’s confidence on jumps and I’ll say it again, love the Stumpy- I too am on one🤘
I’ve been waiting for this video for awhile, I’m so happy to finally see you go to my local downhill park😁
My local park! So cool for Bryce to get some screen time. Maybe hit hooch next time
hooch is where it's at!
Happy Birthday, Sarah🥳
So much stoke, that place looks like so much fun! Happy Bday Sarah (from whenever this was lol) and also congrats to you both on the engagement!

I love the sound of the tires rolling on the trails☺️☺️👍👍
This is what my first bike park was and I went there this past summer and I was in disbelief, I had so much fun!
Just woke up, best way to start the day!!!
For someone like me that’s never been to a bike park it looks incredible
Happy flying birthday, Sarah!

That place looks fun!!! It just screams HARDTAIL!!!!
Perfect timing, I'm moving to VA in a couple of weeks and was wondering where I'd get my downhill fix!
Bryce does not disappoint for mtbing! It's a must ride.
I just moved here to NOVA few weeks ago and haven’t had a chance to get my bike out. Your comment reminds me of my thinking when I was moving in.
Best bike trail I’ve ever seen👍 Super cool video👍😎

That's looks like a BLAST! Thanks for the ride!
