If there was a rectification of the Chet of Adam Harishon and Chava, why did the descendants stop dying? I would love to know the answer!
Correction: why did they Not stop dying?
That is a complicated answer that does not have the room here - but in short - the Jews at Mount Sinai came to a level of a pure rectification of Adam and Chavah when they received the Torah and the entire world would have reverted to the pure days of Gan Eden. But then, they sinned with the Golden Calf and sadly, that undid the rectification and we are now still in the process of what's called a TIKUN OLAM - a world rectification.
