- After doing a wheel alignment on this 2019 Dodge Ram the truck was still pulling because the electric power steering kept trying to put the wheel where it thought was center according to the original calibration.
On modern vehicles equipped with electric power steering it is essential to do a steering angle sensor or in this case steering pull compensation reset after a wheel alignment.
In this video I show you guys how to do this procedure using an autel scanner. - Jak na to + styl
I have a 2020 ram that had a bad steering electric motor. Guessing that same feature is also to reset for the new motor? Also was yours still on the subscription? Seems it will only let you in if the subscription is current.
My 2021 RAM 1500 is doing this after 2 alignments RAM dealership did one of them too!
I would ask them for proof that they did this procedure after the alignment. Unfortunately a lot of dealer techs are not properly trained and skip this step.
What Model is this Autel Scanner?
Do you by any chance know if it is a similar procedure for a 2014 Honda Accord?
Yes there is. I have a video showing how to do it on an accord. Look through my videos and you will find it.
For 3 weeks I’ve been going back for alignment after alignment and they kept telling me it’s good. When I asked about this both shops told me their software doesn’t support VW. Taking it to a Euro shop to get mine reset. Hopefully it fixes the pull, thanks for uploading this
Hi I just ordered an autel mk808ts do you know by any chance if that scanner has those functions
I have never used that model but it does say in the description that it does SAS reset ( steering angle resets ) so there’s a very good chance it does have these functions
