@@crispybaguette8670 Special effects/SFX is everything done in camera,visual effects/VFX is adding elements in post production, computer generated imagery/CGI is made on a 3D software and then combined with real footage.
When artists say special effects, we dont mean CGI stuff only, special effects can be applied to various stuff such as the texture of the dino skin when painting on them to make it a bit more realistic etc

This fabric is dry. Here it is called "lady stocking". I believe you can find similar at local shop. ;-)
what is the gray stuff being applied at 2:13. And do you use, upholstery foam, and if not what is it? What is the silicon to gasoline ratio and what silicon is it? And what is the oil color to mixture ratio? If you would answer these question I would be very grateful.
Hi there, the gray stuff at 2:13 is a kind of silicone which especially used in this industry.
The foam we used is upholstery foam in sevral types.
From your questions, I believed that you'd like to make it at home. That's very cool.

Sorry to tell you that we can't tell you the exact ratios about all mixtures, but we recommend you to test it in small quantity. All the tools and materials can be easily get on Ebay including silicone.

High-quality lightweight foam, the advantage is that it is easy to shape and can be carved with only a knife.

all of spray paint are flamable. accept its water base paint
Instead of GASOLINE ! you should be using mineral spirits which don't have the unwanted chemicals.
Imagine OSHA walking into the room while they are spraying gas INDOORS !
Or the EPA . . . or your land-lord.

Hi there, the silicone we used is formulated by the silicone supplyer. But it's only a small difference like the "Normal Silicone contained by plastic pipe". ( same as the difference between COCA COLA and PEPSI) So we recommended you trying the skin technique by any kind of silicone or glue. Just soft/stretchy one. (DO NOT USE any kind of SUPER GLUE)

The only thing is that it's not realistic because of the fact it has no feathers and an unrealistic color scheme. Pretty cool otherwise though. (No, dinosaurs were not reptiles)
