Megas, all day. Blasters would have better value at $20, since the megas are supposed to retail at $45. I still haven’t found any in the wild, time shall tell.
100% These mega boxes are the best retail boxes I think I have ever seen. Across Football, Basketball and Soccer (I don't rip Baseball). The guaranteed auto, increased chance of a numbered card, Downtowns, Emojis, diecut cards, Optic Parallels. WILD.
You need to go back and watch megas from before Covid.
They ALL used to be pretty good.
Go watch like 17'/18'/19' Prizm, Optic, etc...they were all good. Plus there was even more to chase in cellos, blasters, etc..
Hobby/Retail SUCKS compared to a few years ago and are ALL waaaaay overpriced.

7:19 pm Dec 26. Pulled Zay Flowers DT, CJ Stroud DT and a CJ Stroud res wave prizm on my first 2 megas i bought. On Friday on Friday December 22nd
They hit my Walmart this week but we're small town there restock was 4 megas I had to grab all 4, I got pointed in every box... But I pulled downtown will Levis and emoji and Bryce on the red wave optic!
Cost of retail in general are insane!!! Even the boom of 21 retail was affordable.
I used up all my luck for the next year. Bought four $7.97 hanger packs from Walmart. Pulled CJ and Will Levis back to back packs.
Ink??? In a value pack? No way

Opened three boxes and I hit a CJ Stroud downtown made if sports cards month of December retail top 10 I was the number 2 spot and the Texans just destroyed the Browns!
Really like that JSN color he is a beast. Also Shawn Clifford auto is sweet. He is a local guy and went to the same high school as my brother. My brother actually played with Shawn’s brother Liam

I hit a Dan Marino DT and a silver optic prizm Stroud in the same mega but got slapped with 250 points. Couldn't be mad at that. BUT, out of 3 megas ive been slapped with 250 points out of each.

My 3 boxes were not good. Got points 250 and 600. And a Dandre swift auto. Only pulled one Anthony Richardson green press proof. Have 3 more showing up tomorrow hopefully they are better!

With the huge boom of card opening channels and so many creators basically doubling down on copying , I'm curious what happens to the 1000s or 10s of thousands of commons ?

The only thing that sucks about this is all the people with alot of money buying up all the boxes and the average joe can't get one , it's bad enough they can only afford retail but it's almost like thats getting taken away from them to by these people buying all the decent retail up , what about the poor kids for crying out loud to the "Card God" James LaRue !!!!

This goes to show you that the card industry is weak. If a kid saves his money up to buy a few of these packs and walks away with unknowns, why buy packs vs just buy the card. The days of having a chance in any pack and more frequently are over and it is a business to make people spend for a limited run of a player which is not cool to the lower priced collector. Cards use to be a game to flip with friends and see if you could win cards. now people take a card from a pack and build a shrine for it in plastics sleeve that you worship :) .
Guys its a piece of cardboard that is not worth chasing . Buy a lesser value card of a player you like and it will give you the same feeling
People have forgotten what the hobby is SUPPOSED to be about.

Before Covid the hobby was very enjoyable. Now they only care about what EVERY Fn card is worth.

Totally agree. Now adults are buying more to flip and sell on ebay. It's like a lottery. Gone are the days where you got a pack to pull your favorite player. People nowadays are too hard up on rookies. 9/10 times these rookies have a bad sophomore year and their cards devalue badly. Not what it used to be

Heck, I just miss the pre covid days let alone even further back.
For instance before the covid invasion, prizm megas were $40-$50 and came with guaranteed hits, including ink.
Today newb/invaders will pay $60 or more for nothing.
Hobby is worse - less/bad hits for 5 Xs or more what MSRP is.
And Fanatics is NOT the answer. They've already been caught up in numerous scandals. Haven't even gotten their hands on Football/Basketball and are worse than Panini ever was.
Leaving promised hits out of boxes, redemption scandals, sneaking boxes out of the back of the warehouse, Giving loaded boxes to certain people/breakers.

I've collected off/on since 92' and thet are chasing all us TRUE collectors out of the hobby.
