  • In this episode of SSBB Builds, I measure the compression ratio & figure out where we are at.
This series is all about getting started in Motorsport & these principles are applicable to most cars.
    Enjoy!

@@ssbb_builds2090 lovely stuff, I guess with this recipe u went it makes a higher compression than the full m54b30 rotating assembly

I don't understand the dilemma about the piston rings. M52b28tu, m54b30 and probably most later models use cast iron sleeves and same bore. Why can't we use rings/pistons from more modern, readily available models?

Not all of the models had cast iron sleeves. Mine was an aluminum block with alusil coating on the cylinders.
Stock they come with Cast Iron Rings. But I resleeved the block due to high wear, I could get the pistons but with the cast iron sleeves you need a chrome piston ring which I battled to get.
      Thanks for watching!

@@ssbb_builds2090 yes m52b28 had nikasil cylinders. M52B28TU and m54b30 had cast iron sleeves. All had the same 84mm bore. M54 rings are readily available.
