I have been doing “Swedish death cleaning” for many years, hoping to lessen the burden on my daughters having to deal with my belongings when I can no longer care for things. I have donated tons of stuff and am left with items I’m too “attached to” to give away and I think it will be easier to part with them if I could sell even for just a few bucks!! I feel these things would sell easily in a yard sale but I moved to a rural area and can’t do that. I have lugged these things to 3 flea markets in a year and have sold only a fraction (and had to pay fleamarket fees!). I wonder how long it will take me to finally let go and donate! 😂🤣.
If your not ready you should wait. You are right my sons may not be to happy when they see all of my stuff they will be left with 😬

it would seem to me that the very many-item yard sale was put on by a actual brick and motar store that went out of business ..or...a reseller that decided its time to quit. otherwise, the prices he was asking reflect what was once being charge while in business...just my thought...

It must have taken them hours to get this sale ready. Unfortunately they have prices marked too high for a garage sale. I hope they ended up selling quite a bit so they don’t have such a big job packing up. Beautiful glass.

They had some cool things but the prices were up there. I’m afraid they will be taking most back inside.
They have a continuing yard sale. I just wouldn’t want to keep hauling it in and out. I truly don’t get it. That’s to much work. They must have a huge storage area. 🤷♀️
I have so many questions about the first sale. How long did they take to put that out? How long was the sale? That stuff will not sale at a yard sale at those prices. 🤦♀️
That lady is a “professional” yard sale lady. She has that yard sale ALL the time which leads us to believe she had a store at some point.
She started the sale on a Wednesday and it ran through Sunday. She does it about once a month. Yes she’s going to have a hard time selling her items because of the price.

I would have bought so much more. It just didn’t feel like she was trying to sell her items. It felt more like she had owned a store. She has that sale all of the time. She brings those items in and out every few weeks. That’s a lot of work. ☹️

Why should people lower their prices for you so you can make money off their items. I know I would not give my items away!!
Obviously she and the seller agreed upon a sale that they both were happy with. Also once she buys the items it’s no longer “their” items and she can do what she pleases with them.
It wasn’t much of a negotiation. I didn’t buy much. Neither did anyone else there. That’s a lot of work to set up a sale that size if no one buys your items. Just my thoughts.
Why watch the videos if you’re just going to be so negative? You could just move on. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!
You’ve never asked anyone to lower their price on a car, house, marketplace? All they can say is yes or no.
