You watch too many movies. Most Americans rarely think about them or own one.
The left is obsessed over them for political reasons and they run the movies industry. There is no way in hell you could use most guns the way they show in movies and tv.
Half the time they would jam and more bullets doesn't equate to higher accuracy. In fact the more round you fire in a short time the less likely you are to hit your target.

I am an old person, but I never had security at any of my schools. The receptionist watched the door. The doors didn't lock, there was no need for police, there was no need for hardening, and camera systems didn't even exist. Now America has to harden all our schools? Just ban the guns, and the ammo. America is unwilling to pay our teachers, we are unwilling to buy them supplies or up-to-date books, and half our students are working in trailers. I would not be surprised if a school shooter just came in through the holes in the roof somewhere.

I'm a retired cop and have never touched my guns in the 6 years since I retired. The idea to have teachers carry weapons is absolutely insane...even cops with monthly qualifications still have difficulty hitting a paper target accurately and they want to put a gun in the hands of teachers with no regular and regulated training. Insanity.
So what would be your solution?
If teachers are ever allowed to have, or made to have firearms in the classrooms then they damn well better be trained...or you're just asking for more problems.

A long time ago our govt. (the British) turned tyrannical and turned on its people and killed them with rifles. That will never happen again as long as we have rifles to protect ourselves from another govt. that gets too big for its britches and this one is starting to act a little too authoritarian. If you can't understand the implications, then just mind your own business.
Our crime rate is inline with advanced economies. It only the homicide that are much higher mainly because guns are used in the majority of violent crime. It roughly 4x more likely you will die if a victim. The US like most places the crime is mostly in high risk communities, I haven't locked a door at home in over a decade, it's all about location.
They don’t call them mental institutions for the deranged. And so spot on about the guy with affairs, divorces, children from each being the voice of blaming broken bones.
