- Gunfire erupted at a Donald Trump rally on Saturday, sparking panic in the crowd and spattering the Republican presidential candidate with blood, before he emerged and defiantly pumped his fist in the air and was ushered to a waiting car.
Trump grimaced and grabbed his ear before security hustled him away, his red "Make America Great Again" hat knocked off. The Secret Service and the former president's campaign said Trump was safe following the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles (50 km) north of Pittsburgh.
Live video showed blood spattered on Trump's right cheek and ear.
Downing Street in the United Kingdom issued a statement about the shooting:
“We are shocked by the scenes at President Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. We condemn all forms of political violence in the strongest terms and we send our best wishes to President Trump and his family at this time."

I don't understand how he got up on the roof with a rifle so close and to say that no one saw him or didn't recognize him as a threat. As if the Secret Service couldn't recognize that the guy was NOT Secret Service.

What I read was they did notice him and a cop even raised himself up in the roof to confront him but fell off when the gunman had his rifle pointed his direction. I also read the snipers had him in their sight but were told by a female secret service agent to hold and not shoot first. So if that’s true, the snipers are certainly not to blame.
They were both looking in that direction, as if they had spotted him and they both waited.....

I was watching several witness accounts of the shooting. One guy was saying that he kept pointing at the roof of the building and yelling at the police and the secret service that a guy with a gun was crawling on the roof,. He said he pointed and yelled for like two or three minutes.
That witness video is included in this very interview, my friend. If you watch the whole interview you see it. And the former Chief inspector that's interviewed is pointing to even worse information, towards the end of interview, please check it out.

It was obvious that the Secret Service counter-sniper team had eyes on the shooter, but held their fire; this strongly indicates that they thought they might be seeing another protective asset, and were probably trying to get confirmation in order to prevent a potential friendly fire incident. When the shooting started, the Secret Service marksman's response was exemplary... he was on the scope and got his (fatal) shot off in under a second.
It certainly was not difficult for multiple eyewitnesses to notice a scruffy, long-haired man toting a rifle. The main factor in this case is they want Trump out of politics because he does not support war. The US is a war industry that runs a country, not the other way around.

It’s crazy to me how many people are blaming the sniper who was fired and did end up shooting and killing him. The snipers on the roof were told by their higher up not to shoot yet and not to shoot first.
