Here at point p the electric field lines are not intersecting... Instead we are calculating the total electric field at that point as we considered earlier for many topics .. it's the same.. see the diagram in the book for clear understanding

good morning sir .i have a doubt in 13.52sec.
positive charge radialy outward.
In leftside of the cylinder electric field is in the outward[left]and area vector is also insamedirection so 0degree.
sameway in right also 0degree.
But at the top of the cylinder if the charge moves radialy outward direction that means electicfield is upwarddirection &areavector[normal] is also in upwarddirection .so it becomes 0degree .sameway in downward also becomes 0degree.but sir u said that both up & down are 90degree .Thats my doubt

No... The electric field is going from the wire to out of the cylinder.... It forms right angle... 90°........ Watch that step again or see the description video before you watch this....

This is for infinitely charged wire so we are considering linear charge density as charges move inside.. but for gauss law it is general as it is involving only closed surfaces and moreover only one point charge is present.. charge is discrete

The charge Is enclosed only in cylindrical surface outer surface.. charged wire is not considered as we are calculating the electric field outside the charge...hope it helps
