Trevor being a not-so-secret Swiftie was one of my favorite running gags
Trevor saying "social media makes us forget that we are all human beings" is jarring because of his leading in with 1) Dear John is only about John Mayer, and 2) Swifties attack as a political force (but starting the episode with gossip). Dear John can have multiple interpretations, and placing the interpretation for another artist is actually quite limiting for Taylor Swift.
I'm 63 and I can't name a single one of her songs but am a big fan. She is an amazing talented woman .
I'm a 63 year old white guy in the US Midwest and have never listened to a single Taylor Swift song... However if she's encouraging young women and other fans to get out and vote for Democrats then I'm now her #1 fan! 😁

I’m a 61 yo Swiftie. My daughter and I have been fans since the beginning. She is such a talented and morally grounded individual. We will always love her even when/ /if she stops making music. I likely won’t be able to afford a ticket to her concert, but I’ll always be there in spirit.
What makes Swifties so lucky is that Taylor genuinely loves making music and never struggles or gets tired of it, which is why even when the world stood still and people had a chance to slow down in 2020, she produced two of her most critically acclaimed albums. I honestly believe that she's going to be making and releasing music until she's physically incapable of doing it anymore, which we will be so blessed to hear
I'd never listened to Swift before this year, and I am completely blown away by how incredibly powerful her artistry is.
I am also a 62 yr old white female, also in the Midwest. I'd heard Taylor's music and liked it but really never gave her a second thought till my granddaughter played her non stop when I would give her rides here and there. She started telling me of the stories and what the songs were about. As my granddaughter and I hung out a bit more, Taylor came to the forefront of my attention as well as my growing love for her work. I get lost in her music and my granddaughter (Bella) and I couldn't be closer. I thank Taylor Swift from the bottom of my heart! ❤ I send my love to her I wish she knew what she has done for Bella and Me
A woman with one of the worst tastes in men and history or relationships who supported Biden- not the person you should trust judgment of men on. She is lost, and even her father is incredibly dissappointed in her and her political influence.

I don’t think she’s the activist people think she is.
The way she threatened legal action against a small blogger for saying she should denounce white supremacy in 2017 rather than threaten the Daily Stormer, a literal major white supremacist publication insisting she shared their beliefs, was super creepy. And then she said nothing when fans went in on Antonia Gentry (Ginny from Ginny and Georgia) with racist hate as a direct result of a tweet that she made calling the show out for sexism. Her misunderstanding with Nicki Minaj over representation of black artists in music awards was extremely tone deaf, and she never rectified her insertion of herself in a conversation that had nothing to do with slighting her, even when Nicki Minaj invited her to join the discourse in a productive way. When she speaks up it’s almost always self-serving, yet she pretends it’s for feminism.
This was more likely just tone deafness than something done with ill intent, but the music video for Wildest Dreams reads as a romanticization of colonialism. She never responded to these criticisms but snaps at the faintest whisper of someone saying she dates too many guys or doesn’t write all of her own music. She has a racial blindspot for sure, and her “feminism” only protects her own interests (which is to say that it isn’t feminism at all).
I'm so grateful Taylor isn't republican.

Thank you to the editors at the Daily Show for all their hard work. Paramount needs to get their partners on the AMPTP to agree to negotiate. Here within the next week, the SAG might be joining the WAG in striking with their own list of demands the networks are avoiding negotiating on. Actors and writers standing together in solidarity! Hopefully, multiple unions on strike will put some pressure on the collaborative corporate monster that is the AMPTP! End the strike! Give writers and actors the fair treatment, and job security they deserve!

At 73, I'm a late to the game Swifty. I started listening to her music during the Pandemic, starting with Folklore. I love her music and what she's doing to encourage her fans to register to vote for Democrats.

I respect her for speaking up for what she believes is important. I’m glad she advocates for a lot of the same positions that I, myself do.
