Thanks Barry. You just answered my big question now about people and things lording over me and i didn't realise until recently i couldn't just take it. I choose JESUS to be MY LORD. Only JESUS 🙏🇿🇦
Great teaching from Barry! There was a listener question near the end about someone whose loved one is "insecure and antisocial" and says they just need Jesus. People are different and we shouldn't make people feel like they have to fit our mold. I used to be very fearful and shy about people, and now I have little to no fear in walking up to total strangers and starting up a lovely conversation. However, that's more my makeup, BUT I've learned that it isn't something everyone finds easy to do or desires to do, and it wasn't always easy for me either-we need to have patience and understanding when people aren't like us. If we have a fear of people, we can go to God about that and ask Him to help us overcome those fears. Being honest with Him (he already knows us anyway) and opening up to Him about why we feel afraid can allow Him to start healing those fears. God gave His disciples boldness and He also helped them to know what to say to minister to others-that takes a lot of pressure off of us to speak to others if we ask the Lord to speak to them through us what He wants to say. One thing that makes me bolder in my outreach to others is my awareness of how much God loves the people on my path. He cares about their needs and He can use me at times to speak a word of encouragement or a word of His truth to them. Sometimes He tells me to just listen. Sometimes we are afraid to talk to people and outreach because we're afraid of rejection. God can help us with any of those kinds of things. But we can be who He made us to be-introvert or extravert, but also walk in His ability and power to reach out to others and be a channel for God's love and truth to flow! I love my relationship with Jesus too and it's getting deeper all the time-it's not a bad to know He is the One that completes us! He fills me up in ways others cannot, and I don't want to place that burden on others to do it either. But, I love people and God needs us to be His ambassadors to a lost world! He can help us do it! I think I would recommend praying for that loved one and ask the Lord to help them overcome fears and to have a heart that's more open to others, and perhaps open the door to some Godly friendships for that loved one. But sometimes these things take time, so we need to be patient and loving too as they grow.
My heart ❤ I was told by Dr Monday that I’ve got 3/ 100% blocked arteries and no way for surgery cause my heart is too weak and I would die. I chose Jesus as Lord over this situation Psalms 118:17

Pastor Barry, is it ok to pray for healing with more than one Pastor. I do that, and it just occured to me that out might show a lack of Faith or belief. What do you think?
