In the 70s Los Angeles player Gaby Horowitz played Paul Magriel one night at Tom Gilbert's house. Magriel was blindfolded, Gaby was not. Gaby rolled for both sides and called out the dice rolls; then called out his play on his turn. Magriel easily kept up. The second time, however, Gaby wisely threw himself into a complicated backgame. Didn't faze Magriel a bit!! Yay Paul.

Well, the blind player Yan Kit Chan plays like a grand master, so "Play like blind" can be incorrect

My hope is "blind hen also find grain, occasionally". Chess GOAT Magnus Carlsen is able to play 10 concurrent matches blindfolded. That's a lot of grain.

Sure because in chess, to reconstruct you can figure out what you would have done, but here the randomness screws you.
