To be Honest this was the weakest group, yeah it had the 1st Seed of Korea but aside from that for worlds with the 0-6 team and EDG the weakest Chinese team by far shows that, group D has 2 of the favorites to win Worlds with IG and Fnatic, group B was group of death, and group A had a solid korean team underperforming, the strongest wild card with PVB G2 and Wunder, and Flash Wolves who shook the world at MSI, TL has no playstyle to show cuz they don't need it at home, so they always played like the korean teams, and what has been shown with the other western teams with G2 C9 and Vitality is that playing your own play Style with draven with zilean with heimerdinger is far better than playing other region style, since TL didnt have an identity they failed hard in the one of easiest group

If you ask me Pobelter is not good enough for TL at worlds. Sure, he can do plays but he's too inconsistent. He can throw games as easily as he can win them. DL is consistent, at least.

Pob is shit compared to everyone else on TL. And I don’t even think DL is as good as everyone makes him out to be. Plenty of other ADs around the world much better, doublelift has just been around longer

I'm sure if TL tried more aggressive playstyle with some unexpected all-in like Vitality they could go further. I mean cmon, you can't just play relatively good laning phase and macro and expect to win with Korea or China, especially if you're NA/EU (ok fnc MAYBE)

Im kinda lost, why tl didn't make it out groups if they tied edg? What defines who pass?
They did not tie EDG... it would have been a tie if KT rolster beat EDG, because then TL ended up beating EDG. 4 wins locks your place Into groups... EDG had 4 wins, KT had 5... TL had 3.
Snow Angel really unfortunate that Kt was unable to beat edg. DL played really well this year and I hope he makes it to the very top next year.

well that would make sense because if tl went through the group stage, korea might fear one of the chinese teams gets a NA team and a free passage to semis. kt might have felt that edg would put up a better fight against such teams. who knows though. kt might have felt like we already got out of groups. lets just play to have fun
Why do I have the feeling that KT threw the game against EDG so there wont be any tiebreakers?
To make it clear:
If KT did defeat EDG, and with Liquid winning their last game, a tiebreaker would erupt between those two, with a possibility that Liquid would win.
KT didnt throw. If KT lost to EDG and then EDG beat TL again, they would have to play tiebreaker to keep 1st seed. They wanted to win that game, if anything they got lucky that TL kept EDG from going 5-1.

He's better than Rekkles. Rekkles isn't a top ADC this year either. The best ADCs are Uzi, Jackeylove and Deft. DL isn't there but neither is Rekkles. Rekkles has a much better team and Caps though.

@Secktor 12 i dont know man, he was the most consistent player in his group, and ffs UZI has THE best teammates in the world rn. DL is still a beast, he was playing well even when whole team was behind.
@Secktor 12 just because C9 won vs RNG doesn't mean TL should be even better cuz they won their matchup same goes as FNC defeated VIT and G2 and it doesn't mean they should win vs RNG and Afreeca cuz VIT and G2 took 1 game from them different playstile vs different team works also KT for me are winners worlds
