- The wait was worth it for this little guy! We had a great experience with our breeders, perfect weather for the trip, and we are already in love with the little chunk. I know this is different from my usual fitness and training content, but this is a video that I wanted to have and as part of the family I feel he deserves and introduction :)

About this Channel:
This channel is meant to archive my personal experiences of traning and improvement and hopefully act as a movtivator for others. I will be documenting parts of my normal day to day life and how I balance everything with the goals that I have set. I hope to also build the #ICONQUERED community to bring positivity and help celebrate everyones accomplishments.
Puppies seem to recognize their forever people the minute they meet them. 4:00 Tucker goes to sleep, wakes up, looks around, yawns, "Yeah they're still here. I'm home."
Similar to when I got my 3rd dog from a adoption event. Cold day, she seemed confused for the brief moment she saw snow, carried her in her blanket on my lap, wrapped up, and I didn't move a muscle, just gently pet her and cried. My second dog I'd had to put to sleep a few months before, my first dog had been gone for years.
Doesn’t mom get to hold him?
My wife and I have had three Goldens . Two we got as puppies 8 weeks and one was a rescue. Our puppy now is 12 years old. She was the easiest to train never went in the house from day one. The minute she wined we ran out the door sometimes 5 am. She is a trained therapy door and has visited hospitals and sat and had kids read to her at the library. These are the best dogs even at 12 she is ready to please and loves for the grandkids to visit. The best family dog.
The time goes so dam fast cherish every second
Reminds of when we brought home our Flat Coat. A 6 hour drive each way. On our way back, I reached back to help calm her and she nipped my fingers. At that point, she acquired the nickname she had for life. That said, she was one of the absolute BEST dogs I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was so great with kids, from infants to teens. My niece learned to both stand, and walk with her. Grabbing fist fulls of fur to pull herself up with our FC just looking at us like "Do I HAVE to let her do this" When we nodded yes and motioned her to be still, she just stood there and let it happen. When my nice started walking she had pulled herself up and then had been hanging on to our FC's tail near the body. The FC took a TINY step, then my niece followed. When she was stable again, the FC took another step and let her follow/hold on. When she fell, the FC put herself between our niece and the floor as a pillow, so the only thing that happened was my niece got a facefull of fur as she tumbled into our dogs body. I only wish I had been able to get it on video. Our FC has been gone for a 15 years now, but we still miss her and will remember all the patience she had with everyone. I hope your joy in your new puppy exceeds the joy we had with our FC and he becomes a huge part of your life and heart!
What a beautiful relationship, human and dog. You will experience some of your happiest times with him. Lots of love and good luck being sent your way. Kisses to Tucker.
He's darling. We have had two goldens over the last 20 years and our last one passed August 4, 2022. His name was Harley and he was almost 13 years old. I have thought about getting another Golden but probably not until this coming Spring. Tucker is so darling and quiet how sweet he is. My Harley didn't bark until he was 3 months old and I thought he didn't have a barker LOL Finally I started barking at him and he shocked me with a loud bark back LOLOL. They are very smart, fun all the time and ready to play day or night and they love their cuddles and their babies (toys) for sure. God Blessed you both for sure with a sweet little guy.
I'm so very sorry for your loss,I lost both of my boys Maxx was 10,khoas was 12,I was over Vietnam, that was a walk in the park compared to my loss , God bless
@@stanleydavis7904 yes for sure it is so hard each day but I am thankful that God gave them to me and we enjoyed and loved them the whole time we had with them. Maybe one day again God will send us another Golden to love and care for, time will tell. Big hugs to you Stanley and when we open up our hearts after healing, God always smiles and surprises us.
Boy, at $2200 that’s a serious think!
You have one of life’s treasures. Feed him high quality food.
Just came across this video! Tucker....best name for a golden! Goldens are the best! My Tucker was gentle natured as most goldens are and well behaved. Lost him to cancer in 2009.
First dog lost in 2009, on my birthday. :( Second dog was born in 2009, had her till Halloween 2021. 3rd dog is sleeping on her bed right now.
Treat him well, You have a obligation for hopefully 10 to 15 years. Make sure he gets all his preventative meds, Yes no long hikes as a puppy no jumping off the couch r stuff, there bones need to get fully strong. He's adorable.
you sound a bit of a control freak. take it easy for God's sake.. they'll do just fine.
@@larryprimeau5885 lol😂
@@larryprimeau5885 "Control freak"? I thought the video was well done with good advise.
@@johncoll4456 no the video was very good. I was referring to someone's comment.
@@larryprimeau5885 Probably spoken simply out of concern. Those are the basics of Golden Retriever care, which most first-time dog owners don't know about, which results in a dog with subprime health and a shortened lifespan. Without proper care, dogs don't automatically "do just fine". Pains the heart for knowledgeable dog-lovers.
So cute and adorable, give him plenty of love and affection, a nice, comfortable warm bed, teach him early to love and play with the cat. They will be 2 loving friends and companion for a lifetime.
My Puppy is 2yrs old and soo loveable every single day.she is smart as a 2 yr old child. Such a quick learner it amazes us. We wish you both n ur kitty too the best of happiness with ur new adiition to family.❤

What a majic moment. Congrajulations, enjoy it because it goes so fast.
We drove 12 hours both way to get our American cocker spaniel puppy two years ago. Some things in life are just worth the effort
He's so adorable! Hope to see more of him.
Congratulations on getting your new baby! I'm a Golden lover as well!
Golden retrievers are the best dogs!

Gorgeous puppy
I lost my beautiful boy last week. My blond shadow. He saved my life in the bad times. A lovely friend described him as the Don of Doggo. He died in my arms, staring at me, being told what a good boy he is, after a massive stroke or heart failure. I'm utterly bereft. But I want to add that the vet and staff were wonderful when I brought him in. Myerscough in North West England: thank you. I'll be picking up his ashes tomorrow.
You will have a great 10-12 years (hopefully) with Tucker. They DO love their people... it's only fair that that feeling is returned!
Goldens are so special!! We love them all! Stay healthy Tucker and have fun!!
Congratulations
I am 1 minute into this video and I am already excited ❤
Great dogs these for bowling old people over in the park…never the dogs fault.
Love love love your new Baby! He's adorable! SUGESSTION: get him a halter type of collar instead of the one only aaround his neck.. The neck only ones can cause dammage to vocal cords and more. God bless you and your new baby, Tucker!
He is so beautiful.
He so sweet ❤️
Tucker is Absolutely adorable. May yous have many healthy & happy years with him. Wee soul😍😻
I need more of this content!!

SO cute, he looks so adorable when he is nibbling on ur fingers.
Great video!!
I hope I'm able to do this one more time in my life. I love my golden and spoil him rotten.
You may already know this, but until he’s had all his shots, he should stay home where he won’t be exposed to other animals, especially their poop.
Hey best of luck with Tucker you guys! Px
Beautiful best friend!
They need a secure place to sleep. Two leggers love with their hands. It's amazing how much they have to learn. Dogs rule!
Very cute!
Beautiful family
He's soooo cute
That is a very cool water bottle for your doggie. Where did you get it? Our last Goldie died from cancer at the age of 5 the day after New Years and we have a pup reserved. I would love to get one of those bottles. Tucker is gorgeous, BTW
Check the Animal Shelter,also
I don't have dogs, so I guess the only advice I can give you is to never underestimate a dog's intelligence or take for granted their unwavering love.
I’m so jealous,always wanted a golden retriever !
wow
my dream dog
I got my golden retriever 2 months ago 😋
7 weeks I thought it was ment to be eight weeks
So cute
Goldens are beautiful. We’ve had 2 1/2. One was part golden.
puPpY I LOVE PUPS
What did you guys do about him using the bathroom while in the car?
I am most worried about my doggie needing to go but not being able to place him on the ground outside yet.
Good question! We stopped every once in a while and tried to find areas that weren't obviously used by a lot of dogs like trees, bushes, or poles. We are had some pet wipes with us so every time we got back to the car we would wipe down all his paws.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mistake number one, do not allow him to chew on things that are not designated for him to chew on. Golden are very mouthy and if you don’t stay on him he will wind up chewing on everything.
I should have been a breeder because I just LOVE puppies!
I need to give that little cutie a tiny boop on the nose💕💕
Wait wait wait! SEVEN WEEKS?! He is only seven weeks old? That’s still an important developing phase! Wait at least 8 weeks! AT LEAST! Better 10 or even 12! Why did you get him so early?
12 weeks is too late for a puppy. You should wait 8 weeks but most dogs can be let go as early as 7 weeks as sometimes the mother starts rejecting them too early. Best time to get a puppy is between 8 and 10 weeks actually.
Ikr I’m getting my golden pup next week and he is * and a half weeks when I first heard 7 I was like omggg
@@shannon7133 yeah... no. The 8th week is important to spent with the litter mates. and it is NEVER too late, for a puppy. I'm not even quite sure, what you mean by that. but if you want to explain, I would love to read it! :) but of course, if mummy out right rejects the pup, than that is something different. but normally she doesn't, I would say.
@@sconnyl yeah, 7 really is a bit early. there can be behavioral difficulties. but like Shannon said, if mum rejects the pup, that is something quite different then. but that does not happen normally.
8 weeks is desired but there are reasons it is sooner. I got a Golden puppy 3 weeks ago. The plan was for 8 weeks but there were 11 in litter and the mom got sore teats and was stressed at just under 5 weeks, so nursing and much exposure stopped. I got Amarillo at 6 1/2 weeks but I am home and he got lots of care and attention. I have a 9 year old Golden male and he loved the puppy and socialization was immediate. I had the puppy sitting, coming, and shaking at under 8 weeks. I have no doubt from the progress in 3 weeks that Amarillo got many more benefits from the time with me than being left unattended with 10 others in poop and pee for 6 hours every day for 2 weeks if I had waited.
You are going to be excellent owners, your tone of voice gives that away. Your touch is perfect. Excellent you have learned/studied the "breed".🦮 You appear prepared and have a "cat"🐱 so dang your good! He will want to be with you 100% of the time. He will cry if lock him away from you, bedtime will be interesting. I hope you have "Zero" rules about being on the bed 🛏because they WILL be broken. Congratulations, you have a loyal loving companion I will watch for updates.☮☯
How does the cat like the puppy?
Goldens get nervous when you go to the bathroom, they absolutely need to know what the hell is going on in that room.
You will see.. lol
i bet mommy spoils him rotten you can tell she was excited to get her new puppy
I don’t why CZcamsrs feel they have to put music to everything. Totally kills your vlog. Just the video will work in most cases. 😊
That's the name of my dog!!!
Puppies are so tired when leaving a noisy chaotic breeding place.
Potty training will make or break you!😮 If potty training fails, most owners will return puppy to local animal shelter!
Those that would are cruel. Potty training takes time. I have used puppy pads til they go outside.
Not a dog expert but I believe you're not meant to over exercise them while their bones and joints are still soft. Ask your vet.
PS Is this a covid puppy ?
I've raised about 400 dogs & cats LOL don't be too strict with him :)
Puppy 5.37 - 8.50(
Wondering why with all the pups that need to be rescued, you chose to go to a breeder?
Sometimes if you want to have a purebred dog, there may not be many options depending on where you live if you want to start off with a puppy.
And if you go to rescue that specializes in a certain breed , you don't know what your bringing home , like an abused or aggressive pet/dog. However my friend gets all her pet Weinrimers that way , all great dogs.
Get him use to having those nails clipped right away, very very very important
Who's cuter the guy or the puppy?
lol he started peeing on you
E
Music was way too LOUD and unnecessary especially with ear buds in. Adorable puppy though.
Awfully cute puppy.
No one has pointed it out, so I will. Someone has to. Safety Sally in 3-2-1, go.
Keeping him in the front seat is cute and all, but an air bag can kill him, as sure as a child, and in all states it’s against the law to ride with a small child in the front seat. For good reason.
Don’t bother flaming me, I don’t care, but this was dangerous for Tucker. Sorry for being a Safety Sally.
Casey Affleck gets a puppy
Good reputed Golden Retriever breeder would NEVER purposely breed golden doodles which in reality are nothing but expensive mutts. Don't ruin the breeds.
he is breathing hard, too much trip.
Never buy from a breeder. Always adopt from a shelter. Thousands of dogs are euthanized each year. Shelters are scary places for dogs. Most of them are terrified and lonely. Too many have been abandoned by their pos human owners. If you can find it in your heart to look away and leave those dogs in the shelter, you don't deserve to be a dog owner, frankly.
why not adopt a shelter dog?
adopt,don't shop
U won't find a purebred golden at a shelter
You stole Tucker budzyn?????unoriginal
Rescuse a dog much better buy a dog from breeder.
You should not leash a pup that young!!
Should adopt instead of buying a dog
That horrible music ruins the video.
Am sorry - only wished you had ADOPTED and be adoptive parents rather than BREED AND PAY FOR LIVES - I HOPE YOU COME TO REALIZATION ONE DAY AND STOP THE BREEDING AND SELLING OF ANIMALS ! Please use your channel to support ADOPTION - I HOPE AND PRAY THAT PEOPLE STOP BREEDING AND PLAYING WITH ANIMAL LIVES!
Adopt dont shop
I’ve had four Goldens (2 boys & 2 girls) over 30 years….all different personalities but great companions. Boys definitely more ‘lively’ and needed more training. If you haven’t already take a look at ‘Beckmans dog training’ on CZcams: the absolute best on-line trainer, even though I’ve had four dogs I learnt a lot from Joel.
I’m sure you’ll both enjoy your ‘Retriever experience’🦮🇬🇧
We’ve had 6 Goldens over 25 years. We have them in pairs. I find males are more easy going and easy to train. They are just big and goofy and want to please. Females can be a bit moody at times and are a bit more stubborn in my experience. That said, Goldens are super easy to train in general - male or female. They are great dogs and really have a strong drive to please people.
Take care about your homies not only your Pets!
Cute puppy but don't you have any care for the wonderful doggies, young and old, that live not a great life in a shelter where many of which will be put to death?
