Austira-Hungary had a really cool flag thought.
Too bad it only represented the Germans and Hungarians, who together didn't even make up 50% of the so-called dual monarchy's population. Franz Ferdinand's death was an awful tragedy as it also killed his planned federalist reforms that could have saved the country.
Even if the Central Powers didn't lose, I would have only given Austria-Hungary a few decades before the whole structure folded in on itself.

Austria was oppresing the Hungarians so they revolted and made themselves equal. When shit hit the fan in WWI, the other minorities decided to try that too. It was a result of their oppression that they revolted. If they weren't oppressed, they wouldn't have revolted.
It's also that all these groups didn't have representation. Austrian-Germans and Hungarians together didn't even make up 50% of the empire's population despite being the two elevated ethnicities. Really, the federalist reforms championed by one late Franz Ferdinand could have saved them.

The biggest problem was the emergence of Nationalism, historically the Habsburg Empire never experienced internal tensions of that magnitude
