He nose was bleeding like that because he was just getting over a cold prior to the fight. In one of these videos he actually blows his nose and it sounds like he's playing the trumpet. Not making excuses for him but Cotto put up a hell of a fight.

True, but a nose bleed can't really lead to a fight getting stopped unless you get a cut near the eye. Not seen alot of Cottos fight but he must have gotten a cut round there? Correct me if I'm wrong :)
The thing is that Floyd was talking about facial cuts and swelling, not getting a bloody nose. Floyd didn't expect to get a bloody nose tho. However, he fought a top notch fighter in Cotto that night who was in great condition.

After the pounding cotto took in the last round he was bleeding clearly from his nose. Cotto hit harder but never landed as clean as mayweather did, and you cant dispute this because mayweather smiled the whole fight was never hurt t all. cotto on the other hand got buckled and held on to avoid the canvas. Cotto went to the hospital after because they felt he needed examination because he had taken to much punishment. Floyd was good to go to the post conference.

Regardless of what he says; it's pretty sad we need to even point out that floyd does indeed bleed. It really does speak to how great his defense is if we say 43 fights in "Holy shit he got a bloody nose!". Especially if you look at his record. At least half of his fights were against fighters who either had belts or were specifically battling mayweather for a belt.

BOTH Manny and Floyd fought quality fighters, just that Mayweather fought most of them at their comfortable weight, and before Manny did. They both dominated the featherweight+lightweight+welterweight divisions and if you question Floyd's career then you might as well question Manny's because their quality of opposition is the same, if not, better for Mayweather. He was hurt against shane but not even close with cotto, he would get hit smile to acknowledge "ok u got me" he rolled all of those punches and did not take many flush power shots,, which cotto did do. the jjudges had the fight 117-111 same score i had, 9 rounds to 3. Cotto never landed anything capable of hurting floyd, he through punches capable of it but never landed them flush enough. manny stweart was right when he said floyd just rolling the punches never gets the full effect of them.

Mayweather let the fight be close for the sake of the fans entertainment. Just like May said and just like everyone who really knows mayweather, If Mayweather stays on the outside and boxes no one can touch him at all. Definitley not Pac. Mayweather is showing you if you can see, he is fighting every fighter at what they do best and they still cant beat him. So yea the fight looks tougher. Yeah i can see givng cotto 2-4 rounds anything more or less is bullshit because he without a doubt won round 6 and dominated round 8. I think cotto power bothered floyd a bit because floyd at first was willing to trade letting cotto get him on the ropes, but after round 9 he decided to start moving and it became a boxing lesson cotto landed no more then 20punches in the last 3 rounds. But floyd was not even close to being hurt in this fight. He did the hurting buckling cotto.

Floyd Mayweather silenced LOTS of critics after the Cotto fight - don't like all his antics but can't deny his supremacy in the boxing ring. Hopefully, we get the Pacman fight - both guys are AMAZING and both are dangerous. I see Floyd beating Pacman by UD.
