This is truly incredible. From a kid that almost got stuck in a space suit to having the biggest name in space showing up to your award show
Ye lol
Perhaps the best live award show I've seen. The structure of simply giving awards for what was notable in the year works so much better than limited categories. Thanks for putting the focus on celebrating humanity's progress, on the actual awards, and being excited for everyone's accomplishments.
Not surprising because SpaceX would have won all...
Yes, three key impacts are really the way to go for awards.
A nice, humble, and really 'down to Earth' show. Well done Tim!
I’ll have to disagree with the down to earth part….. ;)
Hahaha, I got that one. Lol
Hahaha, I got that one. Lol
Nice way to say low production quality

Tim, this was incredible. Your first ever time hosting the Astro Awards in person. You had officials from many companies who lead their industries. Most people would've collapsed under that pressure! But you maintained a positive attitude, You kept the train on it's tracks, all while staying humble. Admitting any fault, and making jokes. This is why we love you. You put on an incredible show, and the 2025 Astro Awards is sure to be even better! It's a real deal award ceremony now. I truly think there will be more CEOs and higher up officials from these companies, and agencies in the futre.
I agree !!
I'm a space dude, and I'm crying I'm so happy watching this.
1:58:59 Team Space! 💜 Love seeing the Firefly+SpaceX collaboration and all three rocket companies on-stage cheering on each others' launches (Relativity, Firefly, SpaceX)
@@truegrit1860interesting
44:58 Can you imagine someone in China giving award to US space company after no reply... This only shows the greatnest this nation. Free speech, open mind, free thinking....
Jon Edwards had so many opportunities to flex but remained humble. Hats off to him. What a fine show, congratulations to all the award winners!
When you're the leader by a huge margin, you don't need to flex. 😉
@@nowanilfideme2I liked his presence so much..
For a first time ever awards. It was fantastic. Very humble and highlighted a all facets of the industry. Loved the panel at the end. I'm sure the awards will get bigger and better.
Dude how the hell do you have such good public speaking skills? You killed it. Amazing job, truly charming and captivating. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I loved every moment of this awards ceremony. I'm so happy it actually became a real, live event. It was so cool seeing so many awesome people from different space agencies and space companies all in the same room!
Those first awards will be the most coveted years from now. Congratulations EDA team and space community.
Tim, you did something very special for Humanity here. Thank you!
Congratulations on the first in-personal event and of course for the Astro Awards 2023! 🚀
Finally, an award show I actually care about. Actual smart and inspirational people on stage being incredibly humble.
That was awesome Tim! Great work as always!! I’m so happy that your vision was finally able to happen!

Regardless of the obstacles in getting this awards show done, getting representatives of big and small space companies to participate was absolutely amazing.
In 10 years; astro awards are so big that it's syndicated on a major cable network .
They will host it from the moon lol
@@djinthemixxX that would be so cool lol
I love how humble this award show is. It's not the artificial, glamerous, red carpet show. It's simply by a team that loves spaceflight for a audience that loves spaceflight.
Just getting started, Tim. But i'm impressed how comfortable you are in front of an audience, first try! Bravo 👏
Again, I'm just getting started, but I might suggest not kicking off a fun celebration on a sad note lol
Bravo Tim! That was perfect and the space community needed this
1:26:34 For you all ISRO Fans 🚀🚀🚀
This was really well done, even with the couple of awkward points here and there. I liked that it was not pretentious or "elite" - you embraced the fact it's your first time doing something like this at this scale, stayed relaxed, and embraced your casual personality - as a result, this was entertaining, and most importantly, approachable and just fun. I admire how casual, humble, and honest you were on stage as well.
The winners and their speeches were also mostly focused on inspiring others, so that was great. Nobody abused the fact they didn't seem to have a hard time limit. All around a good watch.
Please keep that up. These kinda shows can become pretentious and cringe if you let them, so it will require hard work/thinking to make sure it stays "for the people" / "for the average person".
Very daring to make a "memorial" for those who passed and companies/programs that ended - its a low-energy and emotional moment in a show, so it can be dangerous, so to speak - but you pulled it off nicely, and it felt appropriate. I could imagine that part of the show being quite important once ISS, Hubble, or other such momentous programs end.
Good that you didn't shy away from giving SpaceX credit, even though they were up on stage a lot and someone might complain about it. If a company can do so much stuff, they should be included a lot. VP of launch handled it well.
I don't often leave comments, but I thought I would write this one. Thank You. Your outreach is important.
Amazing show!!
Out of this world!
Can't wait for the 2024 show.
Thanks Tim and the whole team for bringing space down to earth for us near mortals.
❤❤❤
32:00 Yes! Absolutely! Tim has really helped me to become more confident in looking into a career in astronautical engineering! I love how excited everyone is! I hope to be among these incredible people some day!
Tim and team you guys did an incredible job with this!!!! Went way better than I had imagined and it is official that you have to try to make this event happen annually. Getting the insider perspective from members of the award recipient’s teams was the best, since we don’t get enough of that from space launch teams typically. The ending panel was also brilliant, just to round out the whole night and really give us that space nerd meetup vibe. It was great! Please do this again!!!
Perfectly chaotic. Or should that be chaotically perfect? Thank Tim and all of your team
This was great, Tim. Surprisingly organized and produced for a first time operation. I’m sure it was a challenge. Public enthusiasm and support is so important to keep moving spaceflight forward. 🚀
Wow what a show. I know it's a long show, but if you watch Astro Awards, this is a must watch!
I work in live event media production, it can be very tricky to take a studio production and give it better watchability when live on stage, but you have achieved it. I hope you can derig quickly, then go have aa fantastic party!
That's a good point: the audio & video production was so seamless that I didn't even think about what a good job everyone was doing. Very impressive 👍 and I imagine this was a rather unfamiliar environment for most/all of the crew!
(I _don't_ work in media production; I'm just abnormally interested in that sort of thing and I think about the technical work behind the media I consume more than most people probably do :))
27:20 - 27:42 Did anyone else think they were about to gift Tim a flight into space??
Seriously, I was just thinking the same thing. Maybe if we upvote enough, we can make it happen!
He's already got one lined up. He was one of the winners of the Dear Moon competition. You heard him refer, a couple of times, to the fact that he is going to the Moon on Starship, and no one deserves it more.
This is so amazing! From a fun and goofy video series to a legit award show! This recognition for the industry was so needed.
Congrats Tim!! Just shared this with our community of Veterans 🚀🇺🇸
What a great show thanks Tim and everyone who participated
This was an incredible show, these folks are all rockstars in their field and to have them in the same place is quite a feat. Id love to hear the post award conversations.
I was there and it was GREAT
Congrats to the entire everyday astronaut crew and Tim for pulling this off.
Really impressive given this was the first ever in-person astro awards ceremony.
Thank you from India 🇮🇳
Thank you for this event!
and thank you for livestreaming it!
Great job! Congratulations! Team Space!
Congratulations to all the awardees and the rest of team space. Really glad that ISRO has been selected.
Spectacular show Tim!! Again you captured the “every day“ by being the perfect non-scripted host👍🏼✌🏼
Tim making space exploration an every day human process. This is “simply” the best ever!🚀
I thought I would tap out after a while. But somehow I ended up watching the whole 2 hour show.
Congrats Tim 👏
I wish this received more views. Great job Tim & everyone involved. Here’s to 24 🍻
Great job to Tim and the team. This was incredibly well done. I enjoyed every second of it. Also thank you too all the winners and nominees for inspiring us all. Can't wait to see what the space Industry brings in 2024!
This was awesome! Thank you to all involved :) Hope we get this annually to celebrate everything space.
Great Job! First award show I've watched in its entirety and would actually like to go to!
In my opinion this is the most meaningful award show ever hosted. Even if most people don't see it right now, they will eventually. Thanks for finally celebrating what should be celebrated!
This isn't just the best awards show in the space sector, it's one of the best "awards show" gigs I've ever watched in any genre or field. Nice work Tim and crew, and go team space! And props for all the companies supporting the 3rd party efforts at encouraging friendly competition.
Well done Tim, thanks so much for your tireless efforts to make this happen and continue inspiring the world about space and spaceflight. I hope to be there next year. Cheers from Iowa
I can’t believe how far you’ve come in 7 years.
It's amazing how many people from the industry came to accept the awards. Excelent job.
Favorite awards ceremony. We've got to get MaryLiz into space!
Genius! excellent show. these people deserve this kind of recognition, they're true heroes doing all the true hard work for humanity. Sadly, the general public is kept in the dark about most of these great people and the work they do. Superb true role models for the young. More events like this help bridge the gap for the general public. Thank You!
Had a blast meeting everyone and as well as you Tim, and cant wait till next years Astro Awards! Lets keep growing and make this giant!
Tim,
It just doesn't get better that this!!! Good Job.
Wonderful award show! The format including the panel at the end i’m sure really left everybody satisfied with the content! Looking forward to next year’s awards! Congrats Tim and the team!
First of, you guys nailed it, this was awesome !
Thanks Tim and the rest of the team for making this happen !
Second, I'd like to thank everyone who attended the ceremony, it was really heartwarming to see so many great people in the industry actually took the time to come, and to see the admiration they have for Tim and his personality / passion for space.
And it was incredibly interesting and entertaining too !
You all contribute to inspire people like me that are fascinated by science and space exploration although we might not work in that field.
Usually I'm not a fan of award ceremonies, but this one was great !
Can't wait to see what you'll all be up to in the future (projects, missions...) and how it will impact both our understanding of the universe we live in, and the way we live here on Earth (and soon, beyond...).
I've always liked space exploration since I was a kid, but what's been hapenning in this industry in the last decade or two has really inspired me and fascinates me.
Thank you all so much !
Love from France ;)
A belated "Well Done". Impressive work by you, Mary Liz, and all the people involved. I am particularly impressed by the company reps and scientists involved that came to receive their awards, and good to see Scott. Thanks
Awesome. Thanks Tim and EA team! It was great to hear from contributors to the teams, some of which I had not heard of before. Really great. Learned a lot. 🎉😊
For your first live event that was amazingly seamless. Congrats…. And fun too!
Well done. I hope for many, many more!
This was BEAUTIFULLY done.
Such a humble, simple, enjoyable and down to earth award show - well done Tim and the entire team behind this, look forward to the next one, hopefully you can keep the magic of this one
Amazing show will definitely buy tickets for next year's show ❤
Who'd have thought I'd watch the whole 2 hours and love every minute of it. Great work Tim and team.
Great show Tim! Can’t wait to see this event grow in a beautiful way!🎉 enjoy the rest of the evening
EGADS! An award show worth watching!!
Excellent production! Big isn't easy.
Congratulations Tim! Excellent work.
Thank you Tim!
Super awesome Tim! Glad you made this a reality. Congrats to everyone that made it possible and thank you for making space nerds proud!
That was an amazing event, thank you and well done :)
Bringing space down to earth for everyday people 🔥🚀 Well done Tim🫡
Great job Tim on hosting and also the teams around you for not only, your successful maiden flight as Mr Lewis put it, but now also the successful landing of your first live show. You really do bring space down for everyday people!
Thanks for a great show! Incredibly well done in such a short time. Love the design of awards, the relaxed and humble setting and that you give time for speeches. The show was not focused on cringy entertainment, but focused on the people, the inspiration, the innovation and the important progress in space flight and space science. Please keep it this casual and personal in the future annual astro awards!
Great job Tim, and congrats to the winners, all of humanity!
Brilliant effort, Tim and team. Remember the community saying years ago this needs to happen in person and you did it! So much more enjoyable than the Golden Globes too 😂
👏🎉👏thank you to all involved!; great idea @The Everyday Astronaut TEAM - folks want to know❤
This was a super fun watch, and i bet you have a ton of improvement ideas. Can't wait to see what this becomes! Great job Tim and Cosmic Perspective
Nailed it!!!! I'm really glad to have seen the first annual live Astro awards!
Excellent event and very worthy winners. Remember to 'like' the broadcast, people. CZcams needs to know to promote it.
Loved the awards! So fun. It will be great to watch as it grows and evolves. 2024 is gonna be awesome! It will provide for a great award show next year. Congrats to you and the team that made it all happen.🎉❤
Absolutely smashed it Tim I was smiling all the way through thinking back to the last couple of years in your studio to this. What an accomplishment to you and your team, they deserve an award too. Well done Tim and crew.
Thanks for Inspiring people all over the world in every thing you set your mind to, can be possible! ❤🎉
Tim that was great! ! ! . You and your team did a amazing show . Can't wait tell next year it's going to be amazing.
Great show! Well done Tim and all the people that helped to make this possible. One Little detail I spoted and wanted to point out: at 12:26 the presentation shows the name of Valentina Ponomaryova, the picture next to seems to be a portret of Valentina Tereshkova (who was the first female cosmonaut)
The first of many, Tim!
Brilliant idea of rewarding space accomplishments. And the awards show was really well done. From location to host to video n audio. Loved it. Bummer I only saw this today would’ve driven down the street to see it in person. Next year 👍
Great work Tim! Thanks!
We need more shows that celebrate space and science.
Big fun! Thanks to Tim & Crew!
Awesomeness 🤘✌️✨️🚀 Awesome show Tim 'n crew.
U naild it Tim. Great stuff🍻
LOVED it - looking forward to the NEXT ONE.
Well done guys. That was awesome and I look forward to watching this every year!
I'm bummed I missed this live, but I am enjoying watching the replay. Great job!! I look forward to see how this grows in the years to come.
These awards being given in a casual atmosphere, was probably like a breath of fresh air for these CEO's and Engineers and Scientists with high stress and high pressure work.
It's possibly why I enjoyed it so much. It was so great to see the human side come out.
Tim and the EA team and all those helpers from Firefly, Cosmic Perspective and the Paramount Theater, really got rewarded with a fantastic show. I hope to support Team Tim very soon.
Please, do this mext year again! What a awesome show !
Well done Tim and crew!!👏👏👏👏
Congrats on a fantastic award show. You guys deserve an Emmy!
The picture used for Valentina Ponomaryova, in the in memoriam section is of Valentina Tereshkova, a different soviet cosmonaut.
