This is the defense I run, my team is 2-1 and only 12 points givin up so far, as long as you players play together and aggressive, you can stop anything in this formation
Great work, coach! Keep the train rolling!
What software were you using for this?
Just installed with 9u
Love it! Good luck this year coach!!
Great info. Curious what software are you using Coach?
Hudl Playbook
Great video, dc for 12u adding the 4/4 to complement the 3/4 scheme I ran with 10u. My question how does a defensive practice day look 4 u? Ex: stretch, pursuit, individuals, then team?
First year youth football coach (7-8 yr olds). I got assigned DC and we are going to run the 4-4 defense. Do you ever use N and T assigned to the A gaps? I'll take any advice I can get.
We do, and you certainly can for short-yardage plays. We can also move them out to 3's if you're trying to contain the quarterback and make them stay inside of the pocket
Happy to help with any questions you may have.
Any tips on how would you teach a 4-4 in a 9man league. Have been back and forth in 3 man front to 4 the last couple years but with this years roster I want to start out in a 4 man and make our main focus about owning the trenches and stopping the run. Thanks.
Need to get some answers, too. Because we are playing 9man too.
Coaching 8th graders. What and who are you coaching the linebackers and DBs to read to distinguish if they come up to play run or if they drop to pass coverage? Thank you in advance.
@@kevinguse1952 LBs = Reading guards to running back (often called a “triangle read”)
Corners + Safeties = End man of line of scrimmage for run or pass read, then to the back field. Slow back pedal out to get the read
Thank you. You have some great content and resources. In the 4-4 would the outside LBs be reading the guard to RB as well?
@@kevinguse1952 thank you! And end man on line of scrimmage (EMOL) through the QB

Hey coach! We typically follow 5-10 minute periods before we rotate to the next. We have a full explanation here along with a free template here: www.viqtorysports.com/football-practice/
