    Nice review, I especially like how you were able to point out the issues with the car and what parts you found useful to upgrade. At the moment I have had my brushed Vantage a 5 days and I am completely noob to RC. I am already planning to upgrade it to brushless. 5 days in and I have already bent a shock shaft!

      Thankyou for the support its much appreciated and yeah the shock shafts do seem to be an area of weakness on this car. Mine still bend although they are upgraded but hey ho repairing rc cars is as much of the hobby as driving is. Any more questions you have about the car ill be happy to help :)

      Barely been using the vantage due to the bad weather but when I do I seem to break something. Today's outing was a bent front drive shaft and a bit of the front bumper broke off.

  • @BashingWithRadioControl

    Yeah that always seemed to happen to me to every time i took it out i would break something but i hope it gets repaired soon do you can have some more RC fun stay tuned for some more videos :)

    I met a kid and his dad with one of these down my local park (they also had the ftx carnage) and they are pretty fun! Decent speed on 2s as well. The chassis is extremely weak as are the shock shafts however.

      Hi there bud thanks for commenting and yeah I agree they do have decent speed on 2s but as you say the chassis is weak as are the shock shafts

    • @BashingWithRadioControl
      @BashingWithRadioControl  Před 10 lety

      Yeah they seen to be a common weak spot on this car i think one solution that has come up is to change the pinion gear to a steel one rather than the stock brass one if that hep bud :)

      It could be that your servo is busted or maybe one of your channels on your receiver is broke. to test your receiver and or servo switch the servo from channel 1 to channel 2 so your throttle will control the servo and your steering wheel will control the throttle if the servo is working your channel 1 is most likely broke but if it dosen't work your servo is broke im afraid hope this helped and stay tuned :)

    i got the vantage too, its a great car to be honest. I have changed he back end and a suspension mo unt but other than that its been fine. I got a new wing cos the old one has snapping bits in it. Are you from Bristol?

    • @BashingWithRadioControl
      @BashingWithRadioControl  Před 10 lety

      Hi Ben thankyou for stopping by I agree that it is a great little car for the money and you could be semi competitive with it at the local track it's great value for money and I'm not from Bristol you were close I am from Swindon but good try haha stay tuned for more Ben :)

    • @benrogersdevon
      @benrogersdevon Před 10 lety

      Ah right, I think the Bristolian accent is more pronouned. I would l ike to race mine. After the time I put in fixing my RC cars racing would be fun.

    • @BashingWithRadioControl
      @BashingWithRadioControl  Před 10 lety

      ben rogers haha it was a close guess anyway and yeah im thinking about racing this car again might make a series on it stay tuned :)

    • @benrogersdevon
      @benrogersdevon Před 10 lety +1

      Cool. I saw before that you're in Swindon. I am in Devon so both south though Swindon isn't the south-west as such but some say it is? Wiltshire or parts of it are in the south west, it's weird. I agree - this is a great buggy and especially for bashing and to be honest I never thought of racing it properly but it could be done. Not sure how to find my nearest track.. I have a truck (HPI E Firestorm) a car (HPI sprint 2) and another car (Tamiya TL-01) as well as the Vantage.

      @EvoRider91 Před 7 lety

      OK. thanks!
      I'm undecided if I go for one of these or for a amewi booster pro. I think that the booster pro can reach the 45mph.

    • @BashingWithRadioControl
      @BashingWithRadioControl  Před 10 lety

      You get a Team c Jekyll racing kit for £120 and including the electronics you would spend less than what ive spent on this including its upgrades and if your prepared to spend you get could a bigger name brand car for a little bit more and you would have better part support and much better durability :)

    • @StickyGeko
      @StickyGeko Před 10 lety

      BashingWithRadioControl ok so 190 ish for the vantage brushless... but hobbyking do it too called the quanum vandal, kit is £37 or supplied with motor esc and servo is £65 they do same radio for 10, it's a re badged flysky that comes with the vantage. Battery, charger etc would come in around £100

    • @StickyGeko
      @StickyGeko Před 10 lety

      StickyGeko that's £100 all in.... I've looked at the raskyll too... its for my son

    • @BashingWithRadioControl
      @BashingWithRadioControl  Před 10 lety

      StickyGeko yes your right I forgot about the hobbyking version but if your looking for something will last him and do sent need repairing constantly I would look at the turnigy trooper sct kit or go to a bigger brand as I've heard good things about the turnigy trooper :)

    • @StickyGeko
      @StickyGeko Před 10 lety

      BashingWithRadioControl so this isn't that durable? How does the jakyll compare? I've seen the rtr jakyll for £70 brand new...I'll have a look at the turnigy thanks...needs to be 1/10
