I was in this home a couple of weeks ago - even more beautiful than it shows here. I think they sold 3 of these while I was there. Trying to sell 10 acres of land in north Florida so I can get this one.

@BJ where are your 10 acres located?

    • @bjspeck4337

@@blessedmixgurl3967 It's about 25 miles NW of Tallahassee via I-10 and less than that via the back roads, and 1.5 miles S of GA state line. It's gorgeous rolling land, some open and most with lots of trees with 2 creeks and a slope over all of 80 ft across my total of 78 acres. I could easily parcel off 2 10 acre pieces and that would leave me with nearly 60 acres for horses and gardens. Before I lost my husband of 48 years to colon cancer I had lots of beautiful Arabian horses. Found homes for all but my 1st horse and my rescue Arab. I lost my oldest one last Christmas but still have Einstein on one of the pastured areas. I'm trying to get a daylily/iris garden going to earn a bit of extra money, hybridizing new plants, seeing if they are worth registering them. If so, I'll take the flowers down to the Cancer Center and let the patients name them and register them and give them some starts. Kind of pay it forward for all the 10 years they worked and cared for my husband there.

@@bjspeck4337 my condolences to you on the loss of your husband. That's very hard, especially, after so many years. The property sounds beautiful as you described it. I'm trying to figure out exactly what city or county it's located. I'm located in Panama City Beach. Is the property near Thomasville Ga? Is most of the land cleared or have trees and brush on it? How much are you asking?

@@blessedmixgurl3967 Hi Blest, Let's start with geography. The town and county are Quincy, Gadsden County, but we are definitely out in the country 5 miles north of Quincy as the crow flies and about 8 along the roads. 6 miles back towards Quincy is a very nice inexpensive country club with 2 levels of membership, $75/month for the pool, restaurant, gym, tennis courts, and quite a bit more for the golf membership. I don't golf so I don't know but it was designed by the same person as did Disney's golf. North of here about 14 miles is Bainbridge, GA with a bigger Walmart, Home Depot, and Tractor Supply all in a row. One-stop shopping. The town also has a fair number of restaurants. The property is also 7 miles south of Lake Seminole where my sailboat is parked. It's about 80 miles from Quincy to Panama City. I used to work at FSU and the trip downtown in Tallahassee was about 25 to 30 minutes. On to the land itself, I bought it from St Joe Timber with mostly pines on it, we had the pasture and hay areas mostly cleared with scattered pines and lots of hardwoods left. Have areas that are heavily wooded near the creeks in oaks, magnolias, maples, hickories, hollies, black titis, etc. On the far side of the ravine and Bear Foot Creek are about 12 + acres almost all in mature hardwoods with nothing cleared. In total maybe 30 acres are semi-cleared but in free-form sections. Wildlife abounds here. You have to kick the deer out of the way, birds - songbirds and turkeys, a couple of bobcats and a family of foxes. Price of the 10 acre piece up by the road will be $49,000. It has city water and electric easily accessible at the road. It also has a small pond called Frogwater (lots of tadpoles). The land is high with steppes down to the pond and all of the road frontage is in thick woods with a couple of cleared areas I had thought to put pecans or hazelnut in but never got to that. The 12+ acres in the back would require a well and power brought in. Price would be $40,000 because of the extra issues. It is gorgeous and private. I'm pushing 70 now and no longer really able to get back there. I have one more area that I could parcel out and that is along the north border and Mosquito Creek. That one would be fairly long and narrow back up to high ground and also $49,000. None of this property in on a flood plain. I'm hoping this will work out.
