From the viewing platform it’s possible to see the villages of Loen, Olden, many mountains and even some of the outermost arms of the epic glacier Jostedalsbreen.
It’s also a popular starting point for hikes. Behind the visitor centre, shop and restaurant, you’ll find this horseshoe commemorating an old Norse folk tale, and this handy guide to the many summits of the surrounding landscape.
This video was recorded in the summer of 2021. As Norway was still under travel restrictions, the numbers on the cable car were less than usual, and of course, you'll see people wearing face masks.
