  • Hi, sorry it’s been a while since I have last uploaded been busy. But I’ve returned with two awesome units that I recently acquired an early 60s RCA whirlpool 14,500 BTU with a Bendex Westinghouse compressor. And a late 60s sears coldspot 11,000 BTU with a Tecumseh AJ.

Been almost 45 years since I've heard one of those old Bendix compressors run, great memories as a kid working at a little appliance shop cleaning AC units. Thanks for the memories, I'd buy from you!

Gahhhh that late 60's Coldspot is the A/C of my childhood--two of them in the house! Can't believe you landed such a beauty. Thanks for posting!

I believe those RCA ran with the original Coldspot chassis. Once the pull down fronts came along, Whirlpool and Sears models followed suit

The cases should be exact too, if anything the larger btu may be a little deeper

Just like modern appliances, vehicles and many other things, they don't make them durable like they used to.
