Best thing people can do instead of arguing whether whey protein is safe or not is by finding it out themselves. Just do a Liver Function test to see if your liver is affected(confirm the report with doctor obviously). If so stop whey for a month completely and then do another test. If the levels went back to normal or decreased after stopping whey then you will figure out the truth. However, if everything is normal then continue your supplement. Nowadays be it whey or any supplement, nothing can be guaranteed that it will be pure. Research would say that its safe. But you can't trust a company at the end of the day. The best thing you can do for you is to monitor your own health and take actions.

He's not saying you will die or get cancer or whatever if you choose to take whey, he's telling you whey is inflammatory (which it is) and may make you feel unwell (which it does to many people). So, take it to supplement your diet and see how it works for you, maybe eat some anti-inflammatory/anti-oxidant foods if you don't already. Also, another thing you can try, is to eat some more lean meat. A package of chicken breast cooked to perfection ready to eat where I live will give me 35g of protein in 150g of chicken at just 170kcal for just 2 euro (about 2.5 dollars) and it tastes delicious, this way you don't need as much powder in your diet.

If grocery store is the only place you can get food, go for it and do the best you can. Over thinking it will do more harm than good. One of the reason why pros don’t take whey protein isolate is because they simply don’t need to, they eat a enormous amount of calories per day, even if they aim for 3g/kg, assuming they eat 3000-4000 calories a day, that’s only abt 30% from protein, but for them the amount of protein is enough, the rest of the calories will be from carb mainly then fat for them. But for normal people that just consume 2500 a day? Protein power is just a simple way to squeeze in those protein without much effort, are they healthy long term, it depends.

      Yes and no,
Human can gain Weight by 2 way : --
      by gain fat and muscle.
If u consume excess protein without burning calories, then it converts it converts into fat.
If u consume excess protein by burning calories
(like workout , cardio and any other sports that includes physical mobility encompasses muscle strength, range of motion, and endurance capacity), then Protein breaks down into amino acid that help to build, repair and recover micro-tears to your muscle fibres, by this phenomenon u would gain muscle.

Protein is best utilized in the presence of fat. The worst thing these powder companies ever did was remove the fat component from the powder because fat has been demonized.
Never mix lean isolate powder in water; your body will convert most of that to pure sugar. The best thing you could do is use milk kefir as the liquid base with a splash of heavy cream. Now the protein can be utilized as intended

@@malsa6374 Hi there, which diet are you trying if i may ask? if you want to lose weight quick without any physical effort, the carnivore diet is the best. I lost 6kgs after the first 14 days but this requires you eat only animal meat and animal products such as eggs, some fermented dairy like kefir, cheese, fish, bacon etc (and the natural fat that comes with the meat - the fatty rind on steaks/the fatty skin on chicken/fish with fatty skin). You need to avoid all forms of carbohydrate and sugar (fruit/vegetables/grains and of course products made from these things). This will put your body into ketosis initially where your energy is coming from fats and not carbs which is a much healthier metabolic state and you will notice many health improvements ontop of weight loss. With eating this way you most likely won't even need any protein supplements.
It doesn't have to be expensive meat either - i basically live on omelettes stuffed with beef mince and melted cheese. in fact i have only been eating that for the past month as it contains all the macro and micronutrients you need. Or homemade burger patties from beef mince topped with egg and melted cheese. The only condiment you should use is good quality salt - no mayonnaise/tomato sauce etc.
I also workout and do enjoy a protein shake myself after gym and i use unflavoured whey protein concentrate (no additives/sweeteners/sugars etc) with my homemade milk kefir as the liquid base and maybe 30-40ml cream and ice blended in a nutribullet. You don't want any additives in your protein powder they are not healthy. the only ingredient should be 'whey protein concentrate/isolate'. Isolate is more expensive because it's 90% or so pure protein but whey concentrate is fine as long as it is at least 78% protein by weight. I wouldn't use plain milk as the lactose/carbohydrate content is quite high - not conducive to weight loss. Kefir is fermented milk where most of the lactose is consumed by the good bacteria and has a ton of probiotics. But like i said you generally want some fat with the protein you consume it is utilized far better than lean protein by itself and that's why i add a bit of cream. If you cant get kefir you could use whole milk but dilute it with water at a ratio of one third milk/two thirds water but then add a bit of cream too. You also can get low-carbohydrate content double cream plain/greek yoghurt (make sure it's maximum 3 grams carbs per 100grams) and do the same

You most likely took a mass gainer.
If you want to gain weight, you don't use protein powder to do so; you bulk (eat over 2,500-3,000 calories).
Protein is supposed to fill you up if you take casein protein, or it absorbs into your body quickly if it's an isolate (there are more types, but isolate is the standard).
In other words, you were a kid who thought protein was the magic solution to all your problems, like many beginners. Which isn't an insult but learn from your mistakes its like people who call creatine a steroid when all it does is make you retain water in your muscles

If your not able to get your daily protin intake (which is 0.8 grams / kg) from regular food you can easily use a good quality whey protein. Taking one scoop whey protein will not cause any harm and instead it will help you to keep your muscle mass intact if you do a lot of cardio. I am a runner and i also do weight training 6 days or even 7 days a week and yes i did had fatty liver 2years ago and that's when i started working out. I lost quite a lot of weight after i started exercising but i lost quite a bit of muscle mass during my weight loss as i was on a low calorie diet and whey protein definitely helped me to reach my daily protein intake. I don't have any liver or any other issues right now and still taking whey protein everyday so yaaa don't need to worry. Just make sure your consuming a high quality and genuine whey protein.

Do your own research when it comes to supplements you take.
When it comes to whey protein, learn how to read ingredients. Not all brands use maltodextrin. As much as Dr. Berg is realiable in the Keto industry, still do your own research.
