The reason Ketchup and Mustard are my favorite MK Kontent Kreators is because of their love for the entire history of Mortal Kombat. I love every game and can watch these types of videos for hours
I remember growing up as a kid back in 92 headed to the arcade when there was lines of people with quarters waiting to play MK1

Unless you'd rather play on Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection with its horrid netcode on console and even worse (and now defunct) Windows Live on PC.
Or even Arcade1Up's multiplayer.

Last time I tried to set it up was 2018 and after painstakingly configuring it, I didn't even play that much. I don't want to even want to SEE that interface anymore!

Interesting exchange there as Johnny Cage seem to hit Raiden first yet the game read it as a trade because both Kombatants took damage causing Cage to do into danger.

MK1 ninja outfits are honestly the best of the classic MK.
Didn't really like MK2's kneepads and UMK3 is too tight, but there still fine I guess.

Slide honestly can punish everything. I think it brings Sub-Zero quite a bit higher in the tiers.

So how exactly does fightcade work? I know it's like an emulator that plays fighting games, and you can play online, but like do you need to download the roms of those fighting games, or do they already come with it? Is there anything else about fightcade that I don't know of?

He's pretty much Scorpion and Sub-Zero combined.
Depends on combo potential really. the ninjas are both not very strong unfortunately so reptile would still have the subpar buttons and stuff
@@PNDKM aw shucks it's a shame the MK1 ninjas are just not good. Because out of all the classic MK these are my favorite outfits of the ninjas.
To me it's this baggy > tight, well I know he can be the 3rd worst, atleast Kano is okay till MKDA.
At least the ninjas started getting a lot better in the 3d games (scorpion especially)
@@scottyj8655 yup Scorpion was absolutely good in the 3D era, I argue it's his best incarnation.
In the 2D era he was a bit shafted and MK9-MK11 are mixed results.

mk1 plodding and neutral based, mk2 more of the same, mk3 CRAZY HORSESH!T, LONG COMBOS, GLITCHES, RUNNING....
I was a bat top fanboy for ages but I just do not find them very nice on Asian sticks.
Love a Happ stick but the Japanese style buttons won me over instantly
The microswitch click was satisfying but the tactility is useless and the hard slap and short throw... delicious.

High level MK1 doesn't really exist, because once you get into "high level" territory, it becomes unblockable city 😂
Play in mk11 I run into a lot of issues and I don't know what's going on and it's made this game toxic. I have a 4K Pro PlayStation in a 4K TV why should I be running into lag issues when I'm hard-wired in? In playing on 4K is it better to have 120 hertz TV or 240 hertz? I had the best of the best and don't understand why I have so many issues playing this game online
It doesn't matter how good your tv is, if you or your opponent has bad wifi it causes lag

MK1 is more neutral based, but yes MK1 sure do have combos.
But combos don't always make a game high level.
We wrote the book on the combos in this game :)

BTW the so called "unlockable" freeze is not working while you just keep ducking without block. Same with Sonya's leg grab if you just hit back diagonal and block.
