      @@REKtheWORLDwhat size rims and tires are those. Are they offset too. Also what’s that exact air bag kit you put into it. I’m getting ready to do my 65 Riv and I want the frame on the ground too. You fid a real good job on that and a great video with great info. Thx for sharing

      @@cococounty2363 the wheels are 14x6 reversed offset. Only a reversed offset will clear the brakes in a 14” wheel.
      The kit is from BCfab.com. It’s the stage 2 kit. Thanks for your question, and the support!

    awesome vid. super well done and informative. I just hope you never paint flames on the Riv. That goes for anyone that sees this. Painted flames are a dead style and they certainly do not belong on a Riviera.

    Great great Video!! I’m interested if a front shock is needed. Thanks!!

      Supposedly with the Slam Specialties bags I’m using, a shock is not required. I’ll find out when I drive it, otherwise I can relocate the front shocks fairly easily.

      @@REKtheWORLD Did you happen to try the BCFab front shock mount kit? I’m doing a body off remod/restomod on my 65 Riviera. I used the BCFab bags like you did, but since the body is off, I’m curious about the placement of the front shock mounts on the frame. According to limited instructions from BCFab, the lower mount is welded to the strut rod. The upper mount for the frame can only be placed ‘flat’ against the frame in a very limited area. I haven’t attached the mounts yet because I’m concerned about fitment once I reattach the body. I’m wondering if anyone has done the shock mounts and if I could see a picture.

      @@thomasdewalt6230 I have the shock mount kit, but haven’t gotten around to installing it yet. But from what I understand it is designed to mount between the strut rod and the frame.

      @@REKtheWORLD how does it ride without shocks. I saw their instructions on the shock mounts. It didn't look like it's a sturdy spot. What's your opinion

    • @REKtheWORLD
      @REKtheWORLD  Před 9 měsíci

      @@jus1975 it rides pretty well with the Slam Specialties ss6. The only reason I would like to install shock is because I have to feather it while dropping the front or else it will slam down a little too hard for my liking. The ride is pretty darn good though.

      I haven’t installed any yet and it rides pretty well, however, I do plan to swap the front bags with something else, at which point I’ll install front shocks.
