- Today we meet Atli, who is an incredibly adventurous young Canadian woman. She works all summer in Vancouver BC, and then heads south and spends her winters in the USA living in her Ford Transit. She loves the life that living in a van has created for her because it gives her the best of two wonderful countries and allows her to spend time in her beloved nature. She is the perfect example of VanLife at it’s very best!!

That's exactly how I'm planning my van. No hoarding of "stuff". Some people have too many possessions. Hers is about perfect.

That’s a great van build. If I downsized my RV I would want it to look like her Van. I like the door in between the living area and drivers compartment. Reminds me of an airplane.
Leave it to a boat builder to make such a well-crafted installation. Love the blue accent and slide-out table. The door to the cab is amazing.
Very impressed she biked all the way from Canada to LA and through Joshua Tree. I know she got it inspected, but I still think that’s not a very safe place for a propane tank.
What a really beautiful Travel Cabin this is, everything about it is simply gorgeous!
I particularly liked the solid door to the driving compartment, it's important for the living space of the Travel Cabin to feel like home, and the door helps it to do that really well, whilst still giving immediate access.
The uncluttered, airy feel is lovely and this is truly a beautiful space to be in, be it for short breaks or long term.
How wonderful to have fitted out the van with her father, what a super project for them to do together, a real labour of love!
This really is a gem of a van and it's owner.
I agree about the door and the unclutteredness! The cabinet and drawers are awesome. She could even use that big drawer under the bed to hold her bucket potty. With more solar, she could even have a tv in there,but you can also watch TV on your phone or lap top. I love how she can stand up in the van too!

Beautiful van. My dad was like her dad. He could do wood work, mechanics and welding. Among many other things. But he passed away 3o years ago. We loved to camp and daddy would have loved van life, as would I if you have the means to build out a van like this do it. Even if you just want to go camping in in part time. I would love to go out in a built out van for a month or two at a time. I'm disabled, so I couldn't build it out by myself, but I also know that nothing has to be perfect. Allie is blessed to have a dad who helped her with this beautiful van.nice job! Happy travels To you Bob ❣️. Love your videos, you are an inspiration to many. @@3generations393 I agree. The heat and humidity in Florida is a killer in the summer. I would think you'd need alot of solar for ac running constantly.

Being a fellow Canadian, I think the lack of fear, is a gene most of us seem to have 'missed'. I guess we weren't in that line when those were being handed out. We were probably too busy socializing and meeting our new friends!

That's so cool about the eggs being in her cabinet. I thought they couldn't be left out
In european markets, eggs are often left out, stacked in those square recycled cardboard mats. You just pick out the ones you want. But raising chickens is different there too -- they are not allowed to wash the eggs before selling, which would remove a protective barrier.
They can just don’t put them in the refrigerator and back out again... if we get them from friends fresh n never been refrigerated then you can leave them out in a cool place
@@lisamonalisahikes Sounds good for farm fresh eggs -- but grocery stores keep them in a cooler, probably transported to the store in refrigerated trucks, so it seems store-bought eggs should be kept cold after purchase.

Beautiful work you and your dad did. A lovely van you made to live in. It's a fantastic idea to use that flexible tubing from your sink to your gray tank. It just gave me a great idea for my gray tank drain, thank you.
