First Choice / Al Green - Love And Happiness (Ron Hardy Edit)

Finally getting a vinyl release, here we have what is listed as Ron Hardy's famous edit of First Choice and Al Green's, 'Love And Happiness'. That warm bassline that can be heard on many releases from the late eighties comes from an unreleased track called 'Destination' from Marshall Jefferson. At least that's what he claims. Then Sterling Void, and I can certainly hear the similarities with his work from the period, claims he was the creator.
Just to add, for the record, although I highly rate both First Choice and Al Green's versions it was Al Green's version that I felt first love for. For me 'Love And Happiness' and 'Take Me To The River' were his finest releases in a vast ocean of pure talent. Al Green's music in general was an important factor in my life as a child and something I'm still rooted in to this day.
