@@caitlinmariereacts so now that I finished, I think water under the bridge is the one you thought there was a different version to? she’s never really done remixes, so there isn’t another one unless it was fan-made. and about the christmas comment !! yes !! this album came out around the same time 30 is coming out (which is now basically) and i listened to it all of december and it definitely reminds me of christmas when i hear it!
I get the biggest serotonin rush from that "wooo-oooo-oooo" at the beginning of water under the bridge. A BOP

tbh million years ago is so underrated, but ngl i dont get why, how calm it is, how beautiful, and lyrics? your kidding? those lyrics is literally so heart breaking, makes me think how many things she've been thru, its so sad
All I Ask and Remedy are honestly god tier songs
I sing Remedy to my daughter but she has NO CLUE I'm singing to her because she just likes hearing Adele in the car. Meanwhile, I'm trying not to break down in the front seat 😅
The sound of "Million Years Ago" really struck me, the amazing voice with just the soft guitar plucking in the background. It made me think of certain records from the 1960's, not rock, but the adult pop/jazz performers. The guitar especially made me think of the Latin jazz-pop of Antonio Carlos Jobim. Gorgeous throwback.
To me it reminds me a lot of a Portuguese genre called "Fado", it's very soulful and depressing, usually with powerful vocals like Adele's!
You should check Martinho da Vila's "Mulheres"

My only complaint witht his album is it's released five years ago. When yt reactions aren't a thing yet, I would've loved to see people getting absolutely wrecked by the songs because that's what I felt 😭😭

25:44 ~ Sweet Devotion always made me think of Adele's love for her son since he is her home and how playful, powerful, and the Devotion to being his mom. Plus you hear him in the beginning.
When We Were Young is her best song,so definitely the best of the album

There was a time where the original version of the song was nowhere to be found and there were only covers and alternate versions of the song on CZcams, like Live versions or other. *Apparently* it wasn't on spotify before
All I Ask was co-written by Bruno Mars! He did a cover of it too and KILLED it.

River Lea cuts to my soul. I grew up by that river, had first love, went through my parents divorce, got broken by my first love, had good times with my friends there and had screaming arguments there. The lyrics...I feel like she wrote it about my life. It's amazing how she can do that.

this was one of her best albums like every album is amazing, but like so many tracks on this one was so iconic and memorable. HER LYRICISM>>> and love in the dark omg it rly felt like she was singing that to me like what I needed from someone who wanted to say that to me. omg in tears with the whole album! have not listened to the album in a bit so thank you for bringing it back to me!
