      I am an Indian with naturally wavy hair. I have dry, brittle and frizzy hair with all the chemicals and coloring doing the damage. I chanced upon your channel while looking for help.
      I am already feeling the difference with just 1 application of Olaplex 6 !!
      I have also started using Olaplex 7 oil.
      Both these products are doing great for my hair. I am looking forward to use other products from your suggested line. But it's very difficult and expensive to get all these products in India . It would be great for all your fans in India, if you could do a review on Hair care products available here. So many of us will be grateful n indebted to you for your guidance. I lost a good amount of my hair due to an illness that triggered telogen effluvium about a year ago. I had long healthy hair and lost so much of it we had to shorten it to about my just above my shoulders and add some longer layers for volume. I went long periods of time between cuts as it grew out and only trimmed for shape or damage removal.

      So true, it is annoying when you clearly do not even need it and you say it out loud.. and They Still, always want to do it, what a shame. They think that it is the only way to operate, because they are so trained to do that. Do like I do, show these kind of videos to them,this for example ( I showed GlamGirlGabi`s vid and did not have to debate about it anymore), Thank God it helps and they get new subs! Even this and many other very successful hairdressers says that some of them still always want to do it,trim it, shorten it too much, so keep firm with them. It is quite nasty that you ,as a paying customer, have to "stay firm". You should only have to say it once, if at all. If they ask. Many of them are very limited in a way that they think that things that`s been taught to them once are the only right way to do it. And those teachings of theirs have seen their time. They are Old. I mean.Teachers are old, so their style of doing things can be old also, and then they teach it to new students, and the cycle continues and so on.. in general.

    During quarantine and those 2 awful years of covid, I kept my hair in braids every day, not joking. They were in every hour of every day until I took them out once a week to wash my hair, not knowing that braids were one of the most protective hairstyles you could do. This allowed for my ends, my mids, and even my new roots to grow without any heat and little breakage. In a year, my hair went from just past my shoulders to my waist. But, this was keeping my hair up every single day for 2 full years. If you are up for it and want to leave braids in for that long, I would recommend this entirely. Even an entire summer or a few months might help at least a little.
    **I'm not a professional or even a new student, I am just speaking from experience. I don't know if this will work on your hair as well, or be convenient but I thought I might share.**

    • @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013
      @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 Před 6 měsíci +3

      @@ShannonFinch49 The trims themselves creates the opening that causes your hair to split. It is literally impossible to not have split ends, because trims can cause split ends to develop higher up in the hair the same way not getting the trims does.
      What you can do though is trim your hair every now and then to reduce the length of the split end, thus shrinking the frayed end and making it harder for end to travel higher. This only really needs to be done when you start noticing the split ends though, and not every 2 months.

I quit dying the roots so much and used root spray, also stopped daily washing/drying/straightening and tied back instead letting it dry naturally and it’s the longest it’s ever been in 50 years! I have to say that this is my favorite video about growing hair long! For years my hair wouldn't grow past my shoulders, and I waa frustrated because I loved my long hair. I have had many bad experiences with hairstylists in the past, so the salon is not a place I enjoy. I have VERY fine but curly hair, and unlike straight fine hair, mine is dry! So I had many bad experiences with hairstylists that didn't know what to do with my hair, they would straighten it to cut it, despite me telling them that I have different curl textures and cannot be cut straightened, they would pressure me into trimming my ends, and always cut way too much against my wishes, and would even get upset if I said no to trims. Then when I went to a curly hair salon, they tried to cut my hair in the same way they would cut thick and dense curls -.- I just stopped going, and until last year, I hadn't cut or trimmed my hair in 5 full years. And guess what? My hair was reaching my bra line! And my ends didn't look horrific as I was expecting, some split ends here and there, but nothing different than when I was trimming often. Last year I got the courage to trim my own hair, and now I just do some quick dustings of a few strands if the seemed knotted or split, and I even gave myself some layers this year! I love these tips, and only will add Olaplex no.3 because I bleach and dye my own hair and do need the help for that damage
