G3 is what finally got me into monster high. I absolutely love the diversity of the range! Abbey is my favourite :)
the hairs on dracularas face are painted on and can confirm came off with acetone

Hahaha that moment when you realize that the dolls you had talked yourself completely out of buying is actually so stupidly stunning and in truth you want them SO BAD--THAT MOMENT when you were ranking Clawdeen and just go "Oh no...." I relate so hard to that.

I love gen 3 monsterhigh, I used to have so many g1 when I was younger but I got rid of them ALL :( I highly regret it but having my hands on g3 has made my inner child a lil happy. Definitely going to collect olders ones even though it'll be so expensive but aye.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes that pink is being used as throughline for all the dolls this time around. Also you really hit the nail on the head what was bugging me about the new Deuce dolls, so thank you for that!
Abby is the only one I’d get if given a chance to. I’m not really a MH girl but she’s so gorgeous I wouldn’t mind having her!
I did not realize just how many G3 dolls we had! Not a huge gen 3 fan but still wanted to give this a go as I do like some and you're definitely going to spot a theme on my list!

Monster Ball Clawdeen was the first doll I ever saw on shelves and gasped because I wanted her. Up til that point I had been watching doll collector content but was content with not participating. I haven't bought her quite yet, but she will always have a special place in my heart. Almost as much as G3 Refresh Draculura, who was the doll that made me start collecting. She's SO beautiful and stylish and I knew I had to have her. Another one I don't have yet (lol) but that's just because I just officially started my collection on Saturday. I love MH G3 with all of its creative and innovative looks/characterizations. The designers behind these dolls are innovators in their field and I'm always excited to see what they put out next.
Rewatching this it's crazy just how many more dolls there are now in only a year, and just how much better the quality is, I really think they've found their footing

Twyla's hands actually match the paint on her legs irl! I'm still not in love with the hands look but it's much less of a bold arm-hand skin difference
Huh, I wonder if there's a big difference between batches? I saw some in my stores and they looked like the stock photo 🥲 It's good to know they're not all like that though!
@@FaeryTaleDolls here in mexico I got a twyla and her hand color is waay clearer than in the picture, it's almost like a pinkish lavender, the same goes with the paint on her legs, it is much clearer than in the images

I own monsterball clawdeen now and I can say, bun looks great when you have her with side bangs!
I'm finally ready to play along. Before I was just holding off until I had time but now stakes have been added: I actually need to trim down my wishlist. So my rankings on this tier list may very well help define which dolls I do and don't get. If after this whole experience I still cant let any mhs go, then I'll have to make cuts with other doll brands cuz I done bought sdcc draculaura and some og freak du chic (hey they were actually deals tho) so I have fewer doll tokens. Only one not originally included that I'll be adding is amped up Frankie because they are the honorary monster ball doll same as how spa day lagoona is an honorary part of creepover.
Perfect: Spa day Lagoona (i love her pjs best and the ROBE. She even has fun jewelry easily my fav pj doll of the gen), Monster ball Lagoona, Monster ball clawdeen (THIS is the best clawdeen of the gen, not just visually but also only clawdeen with seran hair), Monster ball cleo, Abbey, Skulltimate secrets Lagoona, Fearidescent Lagoona, Skulltimate secrets Draculaura, Fearidescent Draculaura, Skulltimate secrets Cleo (I also hated the pink but because you can make a full outfit from head to toe with the only pink being the makeup and earrings she is still perfect to me), Fearidescent cleo (i hate the banana shorts but I can still make a perfect outfit without those), Twyla, Core Cleo, Core Lagoona, Coffee break Deuce, Amped up Frankie (has all the details of coffee break but done even better without the parts I disliked)
Good: Day out Clawdeen, Monster ball draculaura (having to change or dye the tights combined with the less full bangs in person knocks her down), Clawd (I expect box hair and face problems, so I don't mind picking a good face and fixing hair), Skulltimate secrets clawdeen (cuz outfit is great but not quite just right idk), Fearidescent Clawdeen (cuz curly poly is worst poly, at least straight poly can feel nice), Skulltimate secrets frankie (great pieces but too many diff colors going on to be perfect), Fearidescent frankie (cuz in person alot of the bangs look TERRIBLE), Gorganizer Cleo (she'd actually rank higher if I included how incredible and soo much better than draculauras her caboodle is), Day out Frankie (I just want to steal parts for my core Frankie), Core Draculaura, Core Frankie, Core Ghoulia (she was perfect, then I saw the new face up for skulltimate secrets s3 and realized face could be better), Core Toralei
Good but not for me: Creepover draculaura, Day out Clawdeen, Day out draculaura, core Clawdeen, Core Deuce, Coffee break Frankie

So the main news is yes still got to get the various skulltimate secrets, only new one i've been convinced of is budget clawdeen
I find that every time I got to trim down my wishlist, I end up adding to it 🫠
After seeing Skulltimate Secrets 2 I 'm pretty much done with G3 since they all have poly hair. They started well, now there's no excuse... but Mattel's gonna Mattel.
Hair shouldn't be a big deal but to me doll hair has always been a key point of a doll even if I don't play with hair. I think it's a visual and tactile thing that I can't. And I think kids deserve good hair too.
iI think with Drac and Frankie Sculltimate 2 (which I have seen in photos) the least problem is poly hair.Draculaura has different and boring face, they look like bootlegs...
I really don't mind the poly hair. I think maybe I've been lucky because all of my dolls with poly have been super silky and soft

I agree that several Lagoona’s clothes really aren’t for me either.
I’m trying to convince myself I don’t need any of the Skulltimate Secrets (because those lockers will take a lot of room), but a lot of them are sooo pretty that I might have to buy some 😅
I really think that the Cleo goreganizer doll is gorgeous but yeah I wouldn’t know what to do with the caboodle she comes with.
I don’t know anything about G1 Twyla but I love this new G3 Twyla-she has details in her shoes and ears that I just love (I love little details like that), but I do agree her hand paint choice doesn’t seem to go with the rest of her.
I like the day out Frankie better than the signature Frankie (though I do have both, I put the letterman jacket on the day out Frankie and they look perfect in the jacket 😄)
Agreed that signature Cleo and Draculaura are perfect 😄
That's awesome 😂I think a lot of people are on the same page as you with the lockers...you could always try to sell just the lockers online? Surely someone would want them for storage or extra display

I dont know if this would have been too morbid for Matel but I wish they gave Ghoulia more monster features besides the green skin. Maybe a skelaton arm for example. Except for the beanie and jacket her outfit is awful imo.
This was fun and I agree with some of your choices, but of course, there are others not the same. I have the Skulltimate Secrets One Cleo and I love her. She is actually the first Cleo I got due to being late to finding MH. I did however repaint her earrings and the bottoms of her shoes because I didn't like the colors; also I want to repaint her lips but I haven't found the right color I would like. I plan to do that with a few other dolls. I love all of the new Draculauras, but I haven't found some of them. My two least favorites are Toralei because I prefer her G1 face mold better. I'm not a fan of her character in G1, but her dolls are sooo beautiful. The long hair doesn't bother me, I just wish she had a better face mold. I'm not a fan of the signature Frankie. I actually have them, but I feel like their head looks too big and as if they have no neck. I may try to do something to fix the way their head/neck looks. I'm also not a fan of sleep over dolls in general, but I did get Draculaura and I really love her. The outfit is sooo adorable, and I love her slippers. I hope to get both gorganizer dolls because I like them, and want to find a way to hang their cases. I used to have an Egyptian art room and Cleo is re-awakening my love for Egyptian styles. I also would love to have most of Skulltimate Secrets 2 and a couple of the Monster Ball dolls. Great video and I really enjoyed it ;)
A lot of people have that problem with Frankie's neck, and I totally see what you mean! Something with the sculpt and the clothing they get just looks off sometimes 😅
I just got my first MH doll (core Drac) and I always want Draculaura SS2 😭 I'm tempted by SS1 too, but the feardescent series makes me even want everyone in the line up. Especially Frankie and Lagoona🩷
Fearidescent honestly has some of the best designs from G3 imo. The hair all is supposedly poly which is sad but the looks alone are soooo good
Yay I’m excited for this 1. There’s so many dolls already. I hope new ones do release June 1st 🤞. I was too late to get Abbey & the Cleo playset on Amazon ahead of time. But my Clawd the date keeps moving up so I’m excited. I’m excited for wave 2 SS but more excited for wave 3 cause I def want Toralei, Ghoulia & Twyla. And I hope Skelita is gonna release soon too. I also am anxious for monster ball especially Clawdeen. I wonder when the collector Lagoona releases. I have spa day saved in my Amazon wish list just waiting for a lot of new dolls to go at retail & go up 🤞🖤🖤🖤 I want the student lounge playset too. And then like the Drac playset. I heard Frankie is supposed to get something related to MB/playset 🤞. I doubt I’ll ever own the budget LA exclusives way too expensive on Mercari for me.
I completely forgot about the collector Lagoona! Didn't end up ranking her lol. I'm really excited for Monster Ball though, and SS series 2 is occupying so much space in my brain lol

I don't collect MH (yet! im really starting to love them) but i really want Creepover Draculaura (i love that she has edges and no bangs) and Abby when she comes out. I want the park Draculaura too! I love everything about her. I hope she will be released soon.

The day out dolls do not have the upper body articulation. They have no seams for movement on the torso. I found that worth buying them.
