team killer? whenever I use it it blows up in my face so I quit using it, it's supposed to be an airburst and in every other game that had airburst, it doesn't blow up till its a certain distance above an enemy head, this game it explodes in my face with no enemies nearby

After learning how to situationally use the airburst rocket launcher effectively, I find that the most frustrating part about this weapon is it's slow ass reload time
As much as I dislike the air burst, you showed it off well here! Watching your teammates struggle to handle the big guys was funny, poor guy in the mech dumping his gatling into a chargers face lol. Also, for the commenters going "Not efficient" you really think Super Earth cares about efficiency when dealing explosive DEMOCRACY?!
The other day, I selected airburst rocket in preparation phase for this mission. The host (id: MOOSE0046) asked me to change it to something else to avoid teamkill so I changed it. But I told him that airburst rocket is great for this mission. Also, he chose "stamina enhancement" for this mission so I said "for further reference, we don't really need that for this tiny map. Maybe I double humiliated him? So he kicked me out of the game right before extraction. Classic passive aggressive behaviour. 😂 I hope one day he will find this video and actually learn something.
ROOFFLLL 30 seconds in and you get your teammate killed using it 😂 classic airburst (you didn’t directly hit him, but one of your cluster rockets knocked him over, knocking the laser stratagem out of his hands right next to him, making the ultimate crispy helldiver bbq)
If airburst could only have two modes (like changing fire rate or semi/burst/auto for other weapons) Standard Mode: Proximity On - Airburst Alt mode: Proximity Off: RPG - all “charges” go off at once on impact so it acts similar to the EAT or Recoilless. It already reloads slower than the recoilless so the recoilless would still be the better AT support but it would give more of a reason to pick the airburst in normal missions
The only type of mission where you can use this rocket launcher and still show a positive result. I've scored 500 kills myself. In all other cases, it will be more effective to take a grenade launcher
Try taking it on a mission, stand near a terminid corpse and try again. Not even the corpse of a charger, just a regular chaff and see if you're still having fun.

The proximity fuse is the biggest issue with this weapon. If the rocket senses an enemy it will detonate immediately even if the player is inside the blast zone. If they disabled the proximity fuse at close range, this weapon would be much better. As it stands, it becomes a team-wiper in the event some tiny terminid is hiding somewhere close to you.
A feature to turn it off like how you turn the flash light on and off on primaries would help. You have to be extremity careful with that proximity trigger
idk it still doesn't look that good to me, I can easily achieve the same with a grenade launcher + supply backpack combo, and it's a lot quicker and without having to spend 80% of the time stuck in the reload animation, plus I am quite sure you can strip armor with grenade launcher explosion which is not that viable on a air burst, plus you actually get to move around with the grenade launcher so you aren't just a glorified turret
You poorly placed your auto cannon sentry. You gotta put it next to and a little bit farther back of that place you were shooting from behind the gate, in front of your guys.
@@Background_Gaming. Every single time i tried it, i shot a patrol with a variety of enemies, sometimes even warriors survived and hiveguards never die unless i shoot one directly with the rocket which would still kill just one, spamming the grenade launcher does more damage than it xD.
Sorry to say but not practical or impressive sure you got 500+ kills but you guys weren't properly equipped on that mission. Those missions are easy when done right all you need is 2 players minimum to bring Mortar + Mortar EMS + rocket sentry place them in the correct spots and any boss killing support weapon, spear, quaz, EAT, commando, Recoil, etc do that and you and your team will cheese that mission on any difficulty. I would also like to point out the 5 Accidentals you got not good to see a fellow helldiver killing his team 5 times in a 15min mission
Let people play how they want to play. You don't have to be a god damned minmaxer all the time. And it's not like they botched the mission. They still finished with relative margin, and not getting run over all the way to the rocket. GTFO.

The reload speed is a bit ridiculous, it needs to match the recoiless rifles speed to be in a much better spot
Even with the Ship Module upgrade it is *still* slow!

Thing's only good when a teammate teamloads it to you. Then it will clear everything except big heavies quickly.

I definitely like the ammo economy of the airburst. Might make a handy support weapon on solo missions
Not so great on solo due to the amount of distance you need to not kill yourself and not being able to kill heavies

Yeah, you can get bent getting that dude killed with that mistake of a stratagem
You need extra care when using this, which is why I mainly shot out into the field and tried to stay away from the walls my team was up on
but you can do the same thing with a breaker incen, with much less team killing risk
All this thing needs is a small reload buff along with the ship upgrade
A ship upgrade like reducing the explosives fall off damage would be perfect
