march 25, 2015 i was a sophomore at an all girls high school and the moment the news broke, genuine pandemonium was unleashed. people were sobbing in the hallways and the classrooms, teachers were scared that an act of t*rrorism had occurred (in a sense, yeah it had). the administration had to send out a school wide email acknowledging the situation and begging us to calm down
i literally cannot imagine having to explain mr. x to someone who wasn’t there and has no idea what it was without sounding batshit crazy. megan you are so brave

As someone who was 8-13 when One Direction was together I was not there for the peak tumblr era, HOWEVER, it shocks me how much I still knew of the lore because I was so chronically online on CZcams. As a little 10 year, I would sit at my mom's computer, watch all of the video diaries, funny moment compliations, lyric videos where the picture of a 1D member was imposed on the screen, etc.. and I KNEW all about the 1D girlfriends. Like why did I care so much about Louis and Eleanor? I was in 4th grade. This episode was just so eye opening and nostalgic for me LMAO
That silent, short nod from Megan at 32:45 was so powerful. Also contributing to the Louis praise because he is credited for writing What a Feeling, and that song could make angels cry with how masterfully it is produced.

‘Stockholm Syndrome’ and ‘Where do Broken Hearts Go’ were both written by Harry. I mean this in the nicest way - maybe do some fact checking beforehand.
Louis has writing credits on 9 out of 16 songs on FOUR. Some of those songs also have credits from all the other members.
On Made In The AM Louis have writing credits on 7 out of 17 tracks. For example, Harry has credits on 5 tracks.
I’m not saying Louis doesn’t deserve recognition for his contributions on these albums, he absolutely does. But it’s a common misconception amongst fans that he wrote “all songs” - which factually just isn’t correct. Fans tend to forget that the other members contributed a lot as well and I think it would be nice, or at least right, to acknowledge that too, especially in a podcast like this.
This Megan is obsessed with that Megan. We need her back. You guys should do a through the years deep dive into one direction
