In this video I show you how to export a mesh into roblox studio with baking its texturing, something that many people face the problem.

okay so, i tried 2 ways, the first results in the whole model having the texture of ONE part (it has 4 meshes) and the other the texture looking ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and glitched
edit: i finally got it working, good tutorial btw, it works
all you need to do is have the whole thing baked and already with the texture, so when you import it, it'll already come with the normal texture

how do you do this with hair that has been converted to a mesh? the hair model i did has 2 textures so i have to bake the 2 textures together, however when i UV unwrap the hair the texture becomes really weird
about hair, I am unsure but I am sure there must be some way.
Also I think most of the time the hair depends on the game engine.
Like if your hair like those big chunks of hair, then that is easy to export.
But if the hair is realistic like each strand then that will be hard

Hey that's because you haven't published your game. Go to game settings which should be on top(also told in video) and publish
then the problem will be solved

There is a image editor in blender, the image should be there somewhere which you need to save in your computer. if you are still facing problems, just dm me on discord
Does Roblox.. simplify your materials? I baked everything and it looks normal in Blender, however it looks VERY simplistic on Roblox. Is there a way i can have high quality textures added to my models?
Well I think it has to do with roblox's image optimization.
Basically if you upload 4k image (which I think doesn't work), it reduces it to 1080 x 1080 texture.
So no matter what resolution you upload, roblox always downgrades it.
That's probably why is it looks less quality in roblox but high quality in blender

You need to publish your game. Just make it so you publish the game on the website, the game can be kept private until you release the game

If I have two objects that aren’t one whole model would this still work with the same method
it is suppose to be for 1 object, I think (not 100% sure) but it could work on two objects but its uv will be really weird and the final result won't be that good.
my material has a roughness of 0 so it reflects, but when i use the exported texture png, there is not refletivness at all,how do i fix this?
You have to make another map called the roughness map, where instead of copying the color, you copy the roughness. And you also instead of to put surface appearance as a child to your object. There you can apply the color map and the roughness map. I recommend you search how to make a roughness map, because it is a little different.

It works but those black parts of the texture is applied on my mesh so it looks weird
Probably because the uv is wrong, uv unwrap it again. Texture it again. And then do the whole process in my video and it should work then

hey, on top the panel which on right side. go to render settings (I forgot the name of it) but if you go there, it will be set to eevee, just click on it and select cycles

Hey it probably works when you have a diffuse or principal bsdf at the end node before the output.
so if you don't want all that reflections and properties of principal bsdf, you can just use diffuse bsdf
it doesn't matter what i do, a black line appears on the texture, even though i followed every single step
It probably because either your uvs are overlapping on edges, or they are so close that they are causing issues. Try increasing the distance between the islands of uvs

I think you need to have any kind of texture first appropriately attached to the principal bsdf then only it works

I wouldnt say to build in roblox since you are facing the problem in blender.
You should try to fix the problem.
Note : Yes it is good to build low poly stuff in studio but doing so in blender is just way faster and convenient

yes it will work with any amount of nodes, just the last node needs to be connected to the base colour input of principal bsdf or diffuse bsdf
Why's the process so slow?
Most likely for two reasons:
1. Most of the time you will usually bake node textures, witch are entirely procedurally generated with no visual compression, so that uses your processing power CPU/GPU. I'm not sure witch one you have dedicated, but its recommended to use GPU if you have one, instead of CPU since GPUs are dedicated to processing images and CPUs are dedicated to processing non visual information.
2. When you bake a texture with cycles, your basically rendering an image using the cycles rendering engine, so it runs the textures you have through the same processes it would if you for example, were rendering something normally, like when you click render, and then render image. The way that cycles renders things is very taxing for your CPU/GPU, so depending on your computer components, the speed of baking an image will vary, but it typically takes a bit to fully render out, id recommend using lower quality image textures for the quickest results.
You absolutely correct. Having a GPU does help a lot.
It would be amazing for a plugin to queue and do all of this work for us. However I do think there are such plugins out there but using the plugins also take some efforts which could be made less
does anybody know why it says 44 hours to bake it
Baking depends heavily on your system. So if you have a external GPU, You just def use it.
Otherwise if you just have cpu and integrated GPU, Then the process slows down heavily.
In reality it won't take 44 hours but it will def also not take like 5 seconds to complete it.

Well there are couple of ways. But they are more of a workaround than a method and are also tricky depending on your project.
I would say try baking again, once mastered, it will help you immensely in future

Without a texture file? You mean a png file of texture?
If you already have a painted object, then you must have a png or any other image format for the texture, You need to upload that to roblox studio, and then it would work.
Note: If you want texture on your object, you need a texture file

well typically when people who know what they are doing if face a problem, they tell what the problem is rather than just saying it does not work.
That "it does not work" mindset is really bad and shows that you do not take 1 more step to find out why you are facing such a problem
