Feels like Richard still hasn't got over Rob stealing his tray of Maltesers
Neither have I
He was bitten by America.. lol that deserved more.
As an American, I concur wholeheartedly.
True, but since that was the first decent joke she ever told I'm sure it went over most peoples heads
Haven’t we all… haven’t we all…
@@milesfromhome69 NEVER give a woman credit for ANYTHING
@@lolaaaaaaaaaaaa she's a singular person, not the entirety of the female gender, SHE is not funny (same with nearly all male comedians), you want a funny comedian who's also female? Check out Nikki Glaser or Taylor Tomlinson. Personally I judge those based on their individuality , not what's between their legs
I love how genuinely amused Richard looks at 2:20
And I genuinely love Richard's looks in the whole segment ! Amazing how a beard can transform you from a nerd to a stud !!!
Clips of Richard smiling should be offered on the NHS
Richard was describing the pilot episode of the TV show starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. Banner experiments on himself using a serum and an accidental overdose of gamma radiation. He & his wife get into a car wreck on a really stormy night and he hulks out while trying to rescue her, but she dies.
So he deserves that point.
@@rozasupreme well, the question was about the MCU
@@goldcakes i haven’t actually seen a lot of the MCU movies, but wikipedia says it was the super soldier serum thing (bit of a tongue twister lol)
@@goldcakes He was trying to recreate the results of the Captain America experience but he thought he could do it with gamma rays instead of creating some sort of super soldier serum.
5:15 😂😂😂😂 “non of it actually happened!!”
💀💀 just killed me💀😂😂
Ikrr 😂😂
1. I love how Rob and Richard have kept their school bully vs nerd vibe going
2. I don't think Mawan enjoyed being paired with Rosie
Noone would.
And for some reason they even let her read the answers....
@@panda4247 they had big gay vibes between them. They ended up winning FYI
@@panda4247 i forget even scumbags watch nice shows
I feel bad not enjoying Rosie because it's not something she can help, but yeah timing isn't her strong suit
@@EndeavoursRadio yeah but for two rounds they were the only ones trying to answer correctly.
I love a game show where the host can insult the contestants. Why have I never heard of another?
"You don't know what this round is!"
"...they're _lucky_ to have eleven points..."
🤣🤣🤣
Then Pat Sajak whines at a contestant on Wheel of Fortune and it kinda ruins that possibility. It has to have a recipient with thick, road-tested skin, otherwise the host looks like a senile dick.
yeah, i like some of them but this bunch have almost zero chemistry. back to old re-runs i go
Is it because there’s no boomers this time around?
Go watch the one with Mel B and Mickey Flanagan. Best on screen chemistry ever. 🤣
Anything with Rosie on gets turned off straight away.
Even the audience barely laughs.
@@Jen_Null honestly laughed so hard watching these two xD
For those who don't understand Rosie during the first question, I've typed out the transcript.
Rosie: Bit by a Spider
Jimmy:Hmm, just a spider, was it?
Rosie: Yeah!
Jimmy:Just a regular ol spider...
Rosie:Uh, by a MAGIC spider!
Jimmy: A MAGIC... there will be NERDS crying at home!
Mawan: A SPOOKY spider...
Jimmy: He did get bit by a spider, but it was a radioactive Spider.
Rosie: Jimmy! This is a problem! All spiders are SPIDERS! DON'T SEPARATE THEM!
Mawan: Well, we said join Twitter...
Rosie: Because when you join Twitter, then you get really angry...
Rosie: I think he was in some sort of war and he got ill and they were like "shit! We'll freeze him!"
Thank you I'm deaf in one ear I can't understand anything she's saying just sounds loud to me lol
You mean, there was some actual wit there? Fuckin' 'ell...
Unaseptable to make a joke at super nanny's expense... I loved the clip of her telling a little girl her behavior was unaseptable and the little girl kept correcting her 🤣
Richard is actually right about the hulks origin story at least with respect to the 1978 live action tv show. He was unable to lift a flipped car off his wife and experimented with gamma rays to get stronger.
yep, this is one of those questions that has multiple "right" answers - original comic - saving a kid from a nuke bomb test. TV show - trying to recreate "emergency" strength. MCU - experiment gone awry, and that's just the ones I'm aware of.
In the tv show ... a Gamma Radiation experiment turned David Bruce Banner into the Hulk.
In the original comic ... a nuclear test explosion bathed Robert Bruce Banner in Gamma Radiation while he was saving Rick Jones ... turning him into the Hulk.
.
In both scenarios it's the massive dose of Gamma Radiation that triggers "the change".
@@lttfan9185 funny how fictional origin stories have a place in our brain. Wonder what got pushed out to make space, assuming inelasticity, of course...
@@solitaryman777 "Wonder what got pushed out to make space" for me? mostly math.
Phantom menace might not be an incredible movie but no one can deny the duel of the fates scene was awesome
Richard was close about the Hulk - he is thinking about the Bill Bixby version but there still isn't a serum involved.
“I don’t think we have written enough material for the next quiz.”
“Okay, then let’s invite Rosie Jones to stretch things out.”
Rosie's accent is the strongest I've ever heard. I think even English speakers would have a hard time understanding her
I think its her palsy more than her accent, once you get use to it she is quite funny
@@scottk6659 I’m fairly sure OP was joking…
@@tomrowell1558 I don't see where the joke is??
@@scottk6659 Equating her palsy to a very strong accent is kinda funny, I don’t think anyone actually sees her speak and thinks oh wow that’s a strong accent, not realising she has a disability, unless they’ve never seen or heard of cerebral palsy before
@@scottk6659 It's in Adam's comment.
I love Big Fat Quiz, but I have to say that as someone who’s native language isn’t English, I am not able to understand what Rosie is saying.
you are not alone
As an Englishman, I can't understand a word she says either.
Nothing to do with one's native language not being English I'm afraid
Since people are dicks... Rosie has cerebral palsy. She is hard to understand no matter what language you speak. I only understand her myself because I've worked with folks like her. So it's not just you love.
Same with Frankie Boyle
will the entire episode be uploaded ?!

I'm the nerd who's screaming at the screen for NONE of them knowing the origin stories of superheroes. Those stories were my childhood.
Which year was this from
If this joke is ‘where’s sean bean’ everywhere. Im going to be anoyed
Lady Tanith from Elden Ring at 3:05
I still can't
Sean Bean can
It was a magic spider at one point in the comics
Really?
i really do appreciate why they have rosie on the show, but il be honest, every single time shes on one of these types of panel shows i have to immediatly close it because i end up only cringing and not laughing
because of her disability i just never find anything she says funny, its awfull, but it completly ruins her timing and delivery which are both incredibly important parts of verbal humour, she just (through no fault of her own) kills any humour in a situation the moment she starts talking, and to me it always feels like the other panelists and the host (be it car or a host on a different program) know this, they know the joke is over and have to jsut sort of roll with it and move on, every time she talks ALL the others just shut up, wait for her to finish, then move onto the enxt thing cos they know the last joke is dead
i always just end up feeling bad for her, and not laughing, which isnt something i want out of a comedy show
shes a lovely person, and she genuinly DOES understand humour and know how to be funny BUT the nature of her disability (for me at least) makes it impossible
I thought she was off her face on coke
Richard Ayoade ... your Nerd Card has been revoked.
Technically radiation is magic in marvel comics at least gamma is so she wasn’t wrong calling it a magic spider 😊
This makes me so sad because there is ONE answer to ALL THREE in the first question and not even the producers got it right (on Jimmy's Card, anyway): RADIATION. Answers ALL THREE. Spider, he INVENTED a serum, and the "super soldier" serum is also radioactive. COME ON!!! The nerd in me is WEEPING.
8:42 - Thing is, if you ask anyone under 30 or anyone who doesn't live in the south who Paul Bryant is, they'll have no clue. But ask them who Bear Bryant is, and almost everyone knows him.
jimmy looks like the dummy from goosebumps
Every other CZcams site shows the internal clips, but not The Big Fat Quiz Channel. I get there is probably a legal reason, but they were paid for, they are in every rerun, and every other CZcams site shows them; how dumb.
I’m guessing (and purely a guess) that they won’t pay any extra to have those clips shown on the CZcams channel if you notice, often if they are answering a question about a TV show on channel for then the clip will usually be showed on CZcams.
Rosie Jones wasted The Big Fat Quiz for me this time. I have watched all of them. Rosie has disability that also is unsuited for comedy panel shows, where timing and delivery are two most vital requirement. Just for sake of including a perso that does lack on both, for being disable is wasteful.
I think she would be good on serious/general talk shows, not comedy. Even in comedy, she can do with lot more visual mediums like placards or tablets with video, complementing with her voice. That would work. Otherwise audience have to wait for long to get punchline delivered, and even then can't understand much of it.
She really breaks up the flow. Very off putting when she speaks. Granted it’s not her fault she was casted for it but it just doesn’t work.
called being inclusive...
rosie and mawaan have such good chemistry in this ep it’s so funny watching them giggle behind jimmys back lol
Why cut out the middle bits... makes this crap.
I can understand a lot of languages/dialects, but I can't understand a single word that Rosie says.
its because its not a dialect its a disability that effects her speech. like wtf do you want? her to 'get better'
@@pemo2676 To her not be asked to participate in a show where they talk a lot. I have watched every episode of this show, except this one.
@@dubious6718 that applies to nearly every single thing on tv or film. everything else shes in ALSO follows the "talk a lot" category
shes in the public light, shes doing comedy, shes going to be on tv. *which just so happens to always have a lot of talking* , and you cant do anything to stop it
she CAN talk, she can communicate and that gives her a damn right to even if youre complaining about it
now i understand and sympathise with people maybe saying she isnt that funny and she cant time her jokes well, which is a fine criticism, but simply hawking at someone who *literally has a disability that affects speech* is simply stupid. it is similar, frankly, to an american complaining that they shouldnt have a scottish comedian on the show because they cant understand the accent. oh except, its a DISABILITY
@@pemo2676 unfortunately, it kinda affects her ability to do her job though?
I don’t know if she’s funny or not, I can’t understand anything she says. I have to wait for Jimmy to respond and laugh at that. And yeah, “I can’t understand what she says” is a legitimate criticism. It’s not real fair but that’s life.
@@thomasa5619 but the same criticism can be made with many accents, and im pretty sure most people arent going to tell people to stop doing television forever because they personally cant understand them, when other people can
People on here are not very nice.
But there is an industry point.
That comedy is humour AND timing.
Rosie is funny, intelligent and confident.
See her recent appearance on QI
However back to the industry point.
Some of her jokes may go over peoples head due to verbal timing.
She's also just really not suited to big fat quiz owing partly to her disability but mainly to her style of comedy. Just feels like she was shoehorned in to a show that isn't really for her.
Love Richard, but I can't stand Rosie. Don't think she works right on these panel shows. Pacing is too much of a factor and she takes away from everyone else. It's great she's found success in comedy, but to be honest, I can't watch anything with her in it.
It’s not her fault, but it’s so cringe 😭
0:10 phantom menace is great, how dare you
So Rosie Jones......what's the story there? was her dad a seal or somethin?
^T.D.E.
Mawaan looks so uncomfortable
Seems to me that Richard needs a shave.
Thought this was going to be Richard Ayoade clips, not unbearable Rosie Jones responses.
Jimmy what happened to your hair?
This show's long enough without the time extension so that Rosie could read the answers.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who can't stand Rosie. She's not funny, she's loud. She has a disability yes, but there's far funnier comedians who are disabled than her. She just screams and dominates everything around her. Plus I can't stand waiting a week for her to finish a damn sentence. They only brought her on for diversity.
I so agree, I don't find her at all funny. That's my personal taste but, for a professional comic, she doesn't seem at all able to read an audience. Other comedians realise when a joke isn't going over and they change things up, Rosie just keeps on & on & on. I'm sure the BBC issue an edict of "She has a speech impairment, no-one may interrupt!" so when she's on a BBC show it ends up with other great comics sitting in silence while she beats a single, quite poor, gag to death for 20 minutes.
People on here are so rude? I mean I get finding her unfunny cuz her timing is not it, and u kinda need that kinda comedy on panel shows
But straight up saying shit about her because of her cerebral palsey and inability to speak fast or clearly is just rude.
Rude but factual
Don't worry I'm sure if those who are rude ever get a disability like this or worse they won't be so quick to comment stupid shit. Karma is a Bitch for some of these people.
@@thesilentgametestr Karma isn't real.
@@Marcus-pt1je Sure, yet in terms of the relevance of the phrase, there is a reason it exists. Just means that sometimes you can talk trash and it'll come back to bite you, whether coincidentally or not. Suffering is the greatest medium of understanding.
@@mariastephens1827 the reason it exists is because people are stupid and misuse the word karma egregiously.
Unrelated, if I shit talk 1000 different people 1000 different things and one of those ironically happens to me, that isn't karma, that's just statistical probability.
i really dislike rosie jones. she is so unfunny. richard ayoade however, my favourite comedian of all time
Rosie still isn't very funny
I thought she was a glamour model in the FHM days

Yeah theres been some confusion with bookings over the years. The paralympians couldnt believe their luck when originally Mrs Rosie Wicks showed up in Tokyo until the mix up was figured out.
she has her moments. About as funny as Joe Wilkinson and others they have.
Rosie is atrocious and is only booked because of the disability, it sounds harsh and she, of course, has tremendous courage but man, it doesn't make her funny and most of the time it's cringy to watch.
Can whoever titles these please chill the absolute f out? "X makes everyone SCREAM and DEFECATE when they tell a JOKE" is rarely the thing that happens. Stop screaming at us. No one is here for your misunderstanding of the clips.
How about not having people that can’t talk on the show
she can talk. she might take a bit longer to say things but she can talk
@@isabellearaindrop great, can you be my translator?
@@MrBlobs she’s not speaking a different language, i don’t need to translate
@@isabellearaindrop She's speaking gibberish.
@@dubious6718 no, she’s speaking english. listen to what she’s saying and you’ll be able to understand her
I'm sorry: but there is zero point putting someone on our screens that isn't funny and nobody can understand, as much as we all want to hold hands around the campfire and feel good about ourselves.
