Commenting in support of an episode dedicated to transport lines
I’m glad that after a missed week, such a brilliant video was released.
The sound barriers you placed on the train tracks, is positioned the wrong way. The way you put them would make them work like a loudspeaker. They are supposed to reflect the noise downwards, as that would muffle the noise.
Clearly it is intended to block the noise from the street so the passengers on the train can enjoy a pleasant commute.
Sussurus but I think he is right, it would be better for everyone if it is angled inward
RZ410 Woosh
bloody hell youre right lol ! they're like a horn amplifying the sound ... i would've never seen that!
@Ryusei Sasaki I’m later
This reminds me of when I was on Holiday in Hong Kong ;both cities being so densely populated, I saw this elevated highway that literally goes through a whole in the middle of an office building. The tour guide said it was because the landlord refused to relocate or sell the plot of land so the government had no choice but to build the highway right through the building as space is extremely limited. I know this is going to be hard to do on SC but I think it’s possible to create the illusion of it using props. Thanks and keep up the great work!
PS: The sound barriers are faced the wrong way bud
Is it possible that you meant Osaka instead of Hong Kong? Because it's where the Gate Tower Buidling is located, the most famous example worldwide of a highway passing through a building, and coincidentally also occured because the landlords refused to sell their property rigts: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gate_Tower_Building
Andrés Pardo Francisco No I definitely meant Hong Kong, but that looks very similar too
This?

I cant remember how the exact building looked per say but you know what I'm talking about.
5FPS?!? ... *dry heaving* ... why man! ... *dry heaving* ... why do you do this to yourself ........ also, love your work! keep it up!
Because he wants to make a nice city *DRY HEAVING*
17:54 it's the FIB building from GTA V :D
@@tannerb.7414 no, the FIB is in both worlds. they can hop dimentions with the ufo on top of mount chilliad.
If you could make a "Central Park" that would be awesome. Maybe not in a shape of a rectangle but like a triangle where the main road changes the angle of the grid.
or a hexagon
Pls don't let there be weeks without avalon ^,^
Let there only be minutes. Can't wait for next episode!
I always communicate via Twitter if I have to alter the schedule, so that's a good place to check if you're curious. I had some personal life stuff come up that prevented me from uploading last week, but I don't intend on missing uploads again anytime soon :)
I'd love to see that public transport live episode, great work as always. Cheers ;)
It's not every day I hear a Utah city get name dropped in a cities skylines video. Props for recognizing SLC's neat layout and grid design.
The snowy theme really helps blend all the clipped buildings together.
much later in the series, you should experiment with parts of the city on the outskirts that are extremely run down and sketchy. what if you had an part of town that was a combination of low rise residential and super dirty industry as though it were a pseudo communist "live where you work" type of labor district, that got left behind when the rest of the city embraced capitalism and developed.
Yay it's back!
I imagine this place to be a metropolis-sized haven when the world gets flooded b/c climate change, and this futuristic city is built in the cold tundra, such as land near the arctic circle, or maybe the Tibet plateau
Nice job! 👍
I just started this series a few days ago and i was so sad when i got to episode 10 cuz i wanted more!! Great videos!
The intro just gets better every time.
I love this, but I don’t think that pipes are needed over the raised railway. Instead of it appearing like the entire block is one interconnected building, I think it would look, better if they were separate and not connected by pipes.
I'm sure the penthouses of all those residential buildings are packed with the city's elite, but perhaps later on (way later) you could build entire neighborhoods of large modern homes and mansions? Not sure how many props (pools, tennis courts, etc) you'd find but it would be really cool! I feel like massive homes and beautiful neighborhoods sitting above the city (hills/mountains) fits the cyber-modern capitalist theme you already have going
Hey Flux, could you please upload in 4k next time?
Export your video as 4k footage even though it was recorded in 1080p so CZcams thinks it's a 4k file and allows for the higher bit rate which makes the video look a lot nicer due to less compression. You think you can do that? I think many of us would appreciate it :)
The intro and the way your city looks screams cyberpunk and it's just awesome! =D
A construction site could be cool close to the downtown core, or maybe a half-built skyscraper. Nice video btw
With all this blue light, nobody will be sleeping. RIP circadian rhythm! :3
Massive Detroit: Become Human vibes - love this so much!
Fantastic as always.
Also, if the camera clipping on buildings is a problem, you could sub to "Camera positions utility" and disable building clipping.
That mod gives me input lag for whatever reason - I've used it in a few areas, but I decided it wasn't worth using
Uwielbiam Twoje projekty. Ta gra z Twoją pracą wygląda bardzo realistycznie :)
Finally some AVALON.
My go to series now
That plaza outside the Time Warner building looks like it should have a skating rink, like 40 Rockefeller.
I started to think that 60 thousand props will not be enough for making city this detailed
We love a good Dystopian MegaCity
Needless to say I love this city! Makes me want to jump back in to city skylines but I’m a traffic nightmare!
I'm glad youtube recommended this. Great work, thumbs up + sub!
This looks freaking amazing!
Loving this series.
And the pipes again 🤪
Amazed and your technical ability, really struggling to understand the mechanics of plop able assets myself!
Wow super cool! Maybe you can include some parks form parklife but you use your own props.
This is amazing ! You should do more close-up shots at the end of episodes, it would be really cool to see in my opinion ! With Neguchi, i think you're my favorite CS builder.
Cities Skylines really needs an option where you can toggle the visibility of buildings or make above ground roads and train tracks see through, like a layer system. that way it would be less tedious to detail streets between tall buildings or under raised train lines.
Freakin' love this series! Great job, can't wait to see more!
i think some tram lines would fit the city perfectly aswell!
It’s the Time Warner Center built right on Central Park, home to the Mandarin Oriental hotel, lots of restaurants and high end shops, residences, and offices for Related Real Estate Development! ^_^
it´s even relaxing to see how your builds turn out!!
Wow, I had no idea you could do pretty much any of this stuff! I haven't tried any mods except custom buildings. I have 100s of those :D
Yeah i'd like to see some real-time overview of what you've built, it's kinda confusing where everything is in comparison to other things, would be nice to get a bit up to speed on the layout, things look absolutely amazing so far, so to slow things down and see it properly would be wonderful.
Just clicked on this I’m only a minute in and wow. Dude your great at CS.
Great video as always :D
I was thinking about the framerate and maybe it would be useful to have some sort of "planning mode" where the game won't load complex textures or where there is even no 3D-rendering sort of like a CAD program. And then there would be a "cinematic mode" where you could plan a shot and render it not in realtime.
And holy moly the shot at 17:54 is awesome! At first I did'nt realise it was just one view :o
Put an Mc Donald's in. And fancy pedestrian lights!
You should make all of the train tracks have a blue glow, it would look nice and stand out
yessss shoutout to salt lake city! i love living in utah
Try some geometric shapes of brick and/or tile in that big plaza. That's something you find a lot in real life.
keep up the good work
Loving this series! Keep up the great work
Nice series
Keep it up👌
Kinda wish you used some more tiles in the plaza areas outside the skyscrapers like that area infront of Time Warner. Feel like the concrete expansion joints is getting abit over used and boring.
markyguin *Warner Media Group (AT&T changed the name when they bought it)
More publicities into the city please !
I’ve been waiting too long for this!
If this city was in factorio it would fit in perfectly.
Fuck yeah dud, looking awesome!
I really love this series! I really wonder how you plan to design the districts that are further away from the downtown. Do you plan to keep the density as high or on a similar level as the downtown area, or do you think you'll eventually get into low-density suburban areas?
one part that i feel very miss in Avalon is underground parking lot, I mean, few entrance into the blocks will make a diffract consider the fact that the downtown seem to be very car friendly.
You are the reason I've bought this game, but I think you should watch the movie Enter the Void (psychedelic movie), and I would love to see you incorporate some of the aspects of the city from the movie into the game! (specifically the neon)
So awesome
I just realized, that Willis Tower thing look thicc
I get a north side of Chicago vibe from Avalon.
Build self sufficient communities in the mountains and connect them only with public transport
Just curious. How many of you rewind and watch/listen to the intro more then once ?
Awesome idea those lights.
the problem of such big blogs of houses is, that the inner parts of buildings with no windows to the outside is mostly not usable for human beings. that is one of many reasons why the Burj Khalifa looks like a Y from the birdview. but nontheless this town looks amaizing
How to fluxtrance:
Step 1: find a building bridge or something else
Step 2: Download everything on steam workshop
Step 3: Add every asset possible to this object till it looks absolutely perfect
Step 4: Rinse and Repeat until frame rate reaches -45
13:40 Looks like a map of a fictional world.
Seclusion is the right word rather than privacy
Your city reminds me of the Cyberpunk genre
I wonder why that might be...
Yay SLC!
You should try putting in some skyways in between some buildings
no train tracks have lights on the right of ways...it's normally reserved for depots and they don't use small ground light they usually use floodlights.
well... except for the underground subways...but you get my point right?
never have I ever clicked a notification bell so fast
I am first and don’t know what to say
So I will say this.
I still don’t know what to say
im the second. and i know what to say...this city is fantastic and the best looking on yt.
Finally waited so long
for the last 3 block expansion, we're going to be working on these 3 blocks. Wow. xD
I missed you so much!
Please tell us how you made the rail junction at 18:03 so smooth instead of one side being distorted (rails become very narrow) and bent.
Can you add some kind of Door/Gate at the 'Time Warner Center' where ne of the buildings clips the pedestrian walkway from the street (Left of the entrance).
Доброе Утро! 😁
Do u use a mod for the blur around the edges of the screen or is it something already in the game settings
Also are those tables covered in snow or do they look like that?
What happend to last weeks
Raven Rebel personal issues, or at least that’s what he said on Twitter
Please do some sort of outdoor theatre somewhere
you should add like a snow landfill because it's snowfall, right? and the city needs to be cleaned once a while
How on earth do you move the buildings around so much and have them so far from the curb without getting "No Road Connection" icons?
Do the people on the city and the cars just faze through buildings due to how they are laid out?
How cool would it be if the background of the next GTA title was set in this city.
Liberty city
FINALLY!!!
You are so good at this game (And I am so Terrible, dispite what i say, i am terrible) i am completely discuraded to play this game!
(Dispite what i may say at times, just because someone is good at a game usualy doesnt discurage me. Even if i know i may never reach that level of skill in a normal Human Lifetime (As i go Universialy, not Specialized)).
(You could say that i am quite Jealous, not the Maliceous kind of Jealous but ... yeah jealous for how good.)
About the low fps nvidea is probally coming out with new gpu's around august maybe you're intressted
Hey, can you please tell me the name of that mod with the brush options like the intensity?
yessss
Hello! How about making the game your exclusive skyscraper dominant?
Hey Flux, if you ever do a tramline add a grand union.
Looks like a kinda weird duty city but when u enter its butifal
*dirty*
"What I selled on"
For me, there is no such thing as over-justifying! I like justifications, at least if they make sense.
What type of graphics card do you have, by the way?
I think you should really use custom road/track assets for the bollards, tracks with lights, and the like.
Woohh im your fan from Philippines cant wait to ep.12 ;) lov it!!!
