That turtle was a diamond back terrapin! Very, very, very cool turtles! One of the few turtles that can handle salty water (aside from sea turtles obviously). I think, but may be wrong on this part, they are endangered as well.

@@HighAdventureVideosidk if you can keep female crabs where you are at but some of the crabs I saw you put in the ice chest they were female. Here in California we can’t keep females dungeons crabs eny way.

That turtle species is pretty rare and it's a bald "Aceisaturtle". They rarely show up and very inactive. Everyone throws them out because they smell bad. 😉

on crabs i always boil for 10-12 and soak for 15-20. lets spices get in more. we all do it differently though. fish on brother

The biggest lions always leave ahead of the pack to seek food or danger to relay back to the pack. Stripers are the lions of the bass family kinda makes sense. Love the content brother ❤.

Here is a recipe i made up if you wanna try it. Take the Rockfish and bake it till it is done , steam the crabs, pick the meat from the crabs and Rockfish, combine both after cooling down, put it in a bowl with mustard, old bay seasoning, egg, and breadcrumbs, make rocky crab cakes, and fry them up like crab cakes. They are delicious 😋. I promise you wont be disappointed with them. Just something i made up when i went fishing and crabbing and only got a little bit of crabs and 2 Rockfish. Makes amazingly delicious cakes. You can put them on crackers with mustard or just eat them as they are. Have a good one buddy.

Chicken tip for ya, let it sit in the sun for up to four days, sorta gets it rotten, crabs love it.
Also any tips on how I can figure out how deep I’m trolling? I can’t find a consistent weight/gear on line to line out to trolling speed ratio.

An old timer once told me that stripe bass don’t like the sun light. That’s why you always seem to catch them during sun up and sun set. If there’s deep water they will most definitely hug the bottom. Never knew of what he was telling me actually held merit but the fish were definitely higher in the water column during sun up then dropped down once the sun was highs
I dunno if you’ve ever seen blue gabe’s content micah. He basically raised both his boys fishing with him. From a super young age. And they are good fisherman. Maybe your daughter isnt interested, but if she is, that would be insanely good content. See her walk in your footsteps.
Some kids do baseball. Some do fishing.
Its hard for impatient kids to really get it, but once they do, there is nothing better or more fun to watch.

You should make steam blue crabs the Maryland way, steam them using beer and Jo seasoning but you season them when they are cooking
