Loved every scene they used this in Azure. Easily one of the most underrated songs of the game.
everyone says "chapter 4", but afaik this is also the music used in the end of chapter 2 of Ao when the terrorist attack happens as you're stuck in the skyscraper, and the tension at the beginning of the song is very fitting of what happens then.
Technically, it's also in Zero No Kiseki credits (Omen). But the build up isn't as epic as I felt in AO. I started having goosebumps back to back as the BGM felt like it mattered the most in AO. Epic BGM + Epic story-- Zero and Ao were the golden Age of Falcom music imo.

When it's time to defend Crossbell. Everything will not be the same anymore, but you have to pull through no matter what's happening. For the SSS's honor. For Crossbell.
I have to pause whatever is going on when the piano solo cuts in at 2:11, because this is easily the most gripping song ever to be in a Trails OST.
FOUND IT!!!! Just started with Chapter 4 of Azure and I couldn't keep this music off my head.

I just beat Chapter 2 of Azure and knew I had to find this OST after finding the terrorists in the Geofront under Orchis Tower. Probably my favorite track from the Crossbell Arc so far. =)

One of the most epic tracks in Ao without a doubt, Chapter 4 opening sequence just escalated my love for this track even more

This sounds so much better with the sound effects of gunshots and flames in the back, getting that intense feeling

Osaki & Jindo are amazing, only they would be capable of something like this. When this plays, the story kicks into high gear. Especially in Chapter 4, where this immediately follows up "A Night of Falling Stars" to create one of the best moments in Trails.
Chapter 4 of ao was something else. Holy fucking macaroni.

This song heralded the game kicking it into high gear and not stopping till the credits.

To have scenes as epic as the ones in this game and with music as epic as this, it's a shame its story is not widely known.
@Tráng Đinh Công I would argue CS fails in that regard with how much the characters are overshadowed by Rean, particularly in CS2.
@@oguzhangungor9117 You think so? I mean, Rean is obviously the main focus in this tale but I feel like the others get plenty of proper character development as well.
@@miraihibino1277 I would say the major problem with CS characters, apart from Rean, is how much development you miss on them if you dont see their bonding events. I always liked Class VII, but after doing a second playtrough of CS 1 and 2 with maximum bonding points i started liking them WAY more.
It's officially coming to the west! This amazing story will soon be known to many more people. It's truly wonderful!

The most intense 5 minutes I've ever played in a game
Ilya, the City On fire and IBC explosion are all jawdropping, but the moment they did dat to Fran, is the second everything became personal
This was also epic when it played for the first time during the trade conference invasion
SPOILER ALERT
This track will always remind me of Crossbell under siege by the Red Constellation, the heart-wrenching cries of sorrow from Rixia and Sully after Ilya sacrificed herself, Bloody Shirley taunting Yin into a ballet of death at Arc en Ciel's stage, and Fran being victim to a grenade explosion, as she kept her dear sister Noël in her thoughts literally seconds away from being whisked away to the Goddess.
I'll never forget those feelings, a mix of sorrow, anger and pure adrenaline. I legit thought Ilya and Fran had perished in that sequence. For these reasons, this track will forever be one of my all-time favorites for its brilliant execution.
Take my thumbs up, you summed everything up perfectly.
@H2O Addict Ah well, I gave a fair warning didn't I? Hopefully anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled will immediately scroll past my comment. I wouldn't want to ruin the experience for anyone. Then again, the comments will be flooded with spoilers of any specific track in a game or movie. Because we want to share what it made us feel when it was used, and I've always assumed the people who look up the tracks on yt have already played said game.
Yeah, it's one of the highlights of the game and probably the most dramatic event in it.

Too bad that Falcom writers or executives don't have the courage to kill important, secundary or even enemy characters: Ilya should've died, or at least become permanently crippled, and Donovan should've sacrificed itself to save Fran. IThat wouldve also made Noel's and Rixia's chracter arcs much more meaningful and dramatic.

But even if they both survived, I was still glad that they did. For one, Rixia might've been torn from her humanity and remain the cold-blooded assassin Yin, if she hadn't learned of Illya's survival. Besides, the ending credits image with Illya, Rixia and Sully dancing together on stage, it's not very clear to me if Illyia made a full recovery. That image could've been from one of their practices, or perhaps from one of the acts prior to the siege. Illya could very well remain disabled for life.
As for Noel's arc, I feel like it still retained the impact of it all. Never mind Fran, she legit believed in Dieter's way to break Crossbell from the shackles of both Erebonia and Calvard, while still having doubts deep within.
And finally, I agree that in all the trails franchise there are very few deaths. But when character truly dies, it's one of the most bombastic and shocking scenes by far, and all of them had a tremendous impact in one or more heroes in the series. All three sagas had those fantastic scenes.

I think there would've been plenty of room for Rixia to develop with Ilya's death. Something in the form of "carrying on her will" and being the ray of sunshine Crossbell needed in her absence would've been so much more impactful imo. It also kinda cheapens that whole event and makes it hard to believe characters can die later on when we see Ilya being crushed by a chandelier yet surviving it all.

@@fierytigergaming8112 Yeah honestly her character is more toned out and is slightly more reserved in the Cold Steel games compared to Crossbell where she was insanely blood thirsty and is a complete menace
@@babatundeismail6732 I assume she mellowed with a couple years maturity or such. Also Ouroboros has a different tone to it than Red Constellation, and she may not have been allowed to go full madwoman.

Everyone talking about chapter 4 but to me this theme is used way better in Chapter 2. The Terrorists interrupts a heated conference as the ILF and anti immigration factions form and unlikely alliance to kill their respective nations leaders. Every dignitaries life from all of Zemuria is in danger with their plan to burn down Orchis tower so Kilika and Lechter have to defuse the bombs with Julia and Mueller defending them. Meanwhile Arios and Dudley and the SSS are in hot pursuit of them fleeing in two seperate areas of the Geofront we as the player have yet to explore. Every character gets a moment especially Noel and Elie letting lose bullets to the terrorists.
Meanwhile Towa is just chilling

while thats happening class 7 is on their way to stop the railway cannon from being fired directly at Orochis tower. Kinda crazy how the terrorist's group has so many backup plans
