High-ranking officials in the Netherlands, Estonia, and Lithuania do not exclude the possibility of sending their military to Ukraine, according to Militany media outlet.
Several Western media reported on this, citing high-ranking officials.
Officials of the countries stressed that such assumptions are linked with support personnel who will provide training, help set up processes, and do other work without being involved in hostilities.
Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that all options are on the table to help Ukraine defeat Russia.
“I think that these are also signals that we are sending to Russia that we are not ruling out different options. Because all the countries have realized that we have to do everything to make sure that Ukraine wins and Russia loses this war,” Kallas said on the Politico podcast.
Kestutis Budris, Chief National Security Advisor to the President of Lithuania, stated that his country is considering sending its instructors to Ukraine, but the priority is to support them with weapons and ammunition.
“We are talking about that possibility, and we are doing this quite openly. There are a lot of nuances about what could happen and under what conditions,” he said.
Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas also spoke about the possibility of sending NATO troops to Ukraine to conduct exercises. His counterpart, Dutch Defense Minister Onno Eichelsheim, also expressed his opinion on sending his troops to Ukraine.
“I think you have to keep all options open to see how you can best support Ukraine,” Eichelsheim said, adding that there are other ways to help Ukraine.
According to the Dutch Minister of Defense, if Western troops go to Ukraine, it should be within the framework of a coalition.

Being Dutch, even if Russia would have spared MH17, it's my opinion that sending instructors and support personnel would still be the right thing to do. Especially with all the western weapons that are being sent to Ukraine. We need to do everything possible to help Ukraine defend itself.

Hello! To the smart people. They don't have to take up combat roles. Just fill the gap in logistics,medical,food services(who doesn't love a hot meal when you're out in the woods)transportation,etc. There's more to fighting a war than just boots on the ground infantry.
Plan is very simple, somewhere in West Ukraine station a small number of troops from NATO countries, and say to Russia if you attack them it is war with NATO, so that Russia would not dare to attack this base, then US and NATO can start building up this base for F-16s and logistics and training. A safe spot in Ukraine.

What other nations sending forces to aid Ukraine as requested by the legal government of Ukraine does is reaffirm the UN Charter and the modern concept of national sovereignty. Even if they did, it's just meant as a threat and showing strong support for Ukraine. Never meant to really do it. However, a no fly zone should be on the table.

I don’t think you know Tucker. He did that interview to show people just how cunning and evil Putin is. It sounds crazy to me what Putin says about his military operations as a way to protect Russia from the “West”, . It seems obvious to me what the truth is and I can’t believe any Russian could be fooled by it. He’s just really good at lying and brainwashing people but as we have seen recently with the funeral of Navalny, he hasn’t fooled all of the Russian people. Tucker was trying to remain as neutral as possible so he could showcase Putin’s real identity. This in no way has anything to do with Tucker’s opinion of Putin, nor should it. Good journalists should do their best to let the true colors of people show through regardless of their own opinions.
