- In 2020, Zeddy, a popular ‘Churchill Show’ comedian came out claiming how the comedians at Churchill Show were poorly paid, and that some of them like WaKimani and Njoro had sunk into depression. These were very serious allegations that caught many by surprise, and people began asking why comedians were not being paid yet they were performing in the biggest comedy television show in kenya

"one day you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free" the best counter to all people pointing an accusing finger at Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchil. That show was running on a flat rate, the cost of putting up the show was equal to the income. Churchill has a job on Classic because he actually needs it, he built a platform and the people who could look beyond the money used it as a stepping stone. No owes you nothing, this is the system we live in.
Well put. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
If i were these comedians i would thank Churchill for Gracing me a platform🎉 that's worthy much✍🏽
Yes! Thank you for your valuable feedback
Some feedbacks are worthless regarding to one is struggling
Will you eat platform will you pay rent using platform will you dress using platform. After writing rehearsing then come and perform and kill a show then paid by platform? A show which has sponsors? Let's not be stupid
Platform my ass
@@millicentawour9482 Millie, life begins when we start being thankful. They should come together & do something for Churchill. It will bare another baby for them or trigger something helpful to them from Mr. Ndambuki
Why do people think the world owes you anything?!Churchill gave them platforms the rest is upto you!we hv seen even very well paid tv anchors and actors who fall so hard, it's the character that makes a man and discpline, hardwork and God!
Character is essential! Thanks for watching this video
@@OngoriReportswe don't mind....most of them are bought out by politicians especially during an electioneering year
I think what happens is:these artists once the become public they try to live beyond their means, they never go broke, they simply return to their original financial position,
I concur. 'chewing more than they can swallow.' Thanks for watching and commenting.

There's a motivational speaker who said that everyone is where they are because they were lifted up by another at one point or another. This is true... Churchill just acts as a ladder to elevate the comedians from a point to the other....ni need to blame him when you fail. That's why I love Eric, always appreciates Churchill for giving him a platform and acting as a ladder
Yes. Never burn the bridges. Thanks for watching and commenting
When the frog is assisted to cross the river it claims it's it's effort
I concur.. Thanks for watching and commenting. Your feedback is appreciated 👍
I have been there, Churchill could only give you a platform, could pay you the amount... that's what he told As
Ok, I now get it. Thank you for watching
The problem with some comedians is living beyond their means to please people, if you are given a fishing line and a hook go fish. People don't want to trust the process, turning your fame into cash is where many failed, you have to plan better
Don't you think is lack of 'mentorship'? Remember most of them are coming from humble background and have zero money management skills
The illusion of inclusion
@bellebella6267 well put
I love how you research for your video. Soon you will be at par with cold fusion tv
I concur! This guy takes content creation seriously 🙌🏼
Thanks! That's my obligation as a kontent kriator😄
Amen! Sky is the LIMIT
Make hay while the Sun shines. Those artistes were living large instead of focusing on their own growth.
Yes. So is life, there's time for them to change. Thanks for watching and commenting
Same as kenyan musicians
Churchill Show made a mistake by quitting NTV
You sure?
yes. its called developing big ears.
@@OngoriReportsyou mean Churchill show ilidead?
It is inactive now but not dead!
@@OngoriReports what happened
Great staff ongori, number 1 Kenyan voice over artist
Thanks dave! More loading🔥
Sometimes let's just be sincere , so a comedian who has just performed around 2-3 years and he looses his/her comedy becomes jobless?,
Let people find a way of surviving and if it be professional it's better for them and they live according to there standards ....
🤦🤦
I concur! Thanks for watching and commenting
Churchill has no competition
No doubt! He's the godfather of stand-up comedy
Do you mean its a goat or a monopoly?
They used to be remunerated and given exposure.
Use it to go MC in functions or be hired in tv commercials.
Yes. Thanks for watching and commenting
Am very surprised by this story l sincerely thought Kenya. Comedians are very rich fellows.lts such a pity.
Being given a platform is better than money.. plat form is an opportunity to grow
Yes! Thank you for your valuable feedback

Ongori hujawai jibu hii swali, are you related in anyway to Betty Maina? Usihepe hii swali.
Simjui yule! Am not related in any way
Some have made a good fortune for themselves... Akina Yy, butita, tom daktari etc Churchill should not be blamed for anything, others also started a job of 10k per month and saahii wako mbali..
Yes. It's personal effort. Thanks for watching and commenting. Your feedback is appreciated 👍
just like any other hustle Churchil show is fighting its way to success
Yes. Part of the process. Thanks for watching and commenting
Churchill was a platform and not financial ladder for wanna be comedians full proof of Eric, Jalango and my guy Jesse successful with hardworkmanship and they never fail to appreciate it to Churchill
Yes. Success is personal. You need to invest in your craft
What were the guys doing from Monday to Friday coz i think they performed on the show only on Saturday and Sunday. Also the show wasn't done during the day,so what wer they doing all day. Also the fact that some began struggling during the pandemic means before it they were being paid. So hakuna makosa Churchill ako nayo. Those who used their brain correctly are doing well and they don't blame Churchill.Wenye walishindwa kujipanga ndio wanalialia apa
seems like it. Thanks for watching and commenting
I agree with your research but even you when you lose a job you will always struggle..why dont you talk of them that made it through Churchill..Mca tricky, Profesor Amoh, etc
I partly mentioned it in this video! Thanks for watching. Your feedback is appreciated

Mainstream media is at the verge of collapsing, only the 'creative' ones will survive

Why do you think Churchill has a day job and does other things on the side on top of Churchill show?
He confessed that the Churchill Show is not making 'profits.' Thanks for watching and commenting
@@OngoriReports I think we should learn to make the best of the opportunities accorded to us and just stop complaining and blaming the people who do the donkey work its really demoralising you are thinking of your stomach he's thinking of alot of people
That's just business. You may not know everything about it until you are told everything. At times even the comedians may not hear the whole story because some truths remain to be handled by owner and the management
I concur! Thanks for watching and commenting
The priority should be to get platform show your talent make a name for yourself then find other opportunities
Yes.
Mnajudge churchill tuu,hamjui ametoka wapi.
He is the FATHER of comedy. To date, no one can fit his shoes, we are not judging his skills but the 'show'. Fans want a comeback...
Most people have benefited from churchill.some comedian have grown bigger like jalango
Yes. Thanks for watching and commenting
But mwalimu kíngangi has given them a platform

Yes! Thank you for your valuable feedback
You're given a platform everything else is on you, others who were there made it why not you!
They'd want to make it too but they end up being victims of circumstances, the last thing we can do is judge them!
The online platform gave Churchill show a huge competition
Yes, and traditional media is now on the verge of "collapsing"
Engineer MCA tricky is coming up with something new
Wenye walitake platform seriously akina obima, butita, nasri wako wapi saa hii millionaire

Politics
The ones with brains got the platform and the fame wakajijenga. The rest are busy blaming Churchill yet kama sio yeye hatungewajua. Even with a 10k pay with brains you can still make it.

You should modify your flow. This rhythm doesn't make sense. You pause and stop in awkward places. It sounds like you are speaking foreign language yet it's English
Noted
Churchill Show iliisha kama mama kambuni ya kamisi😅😂😂
Yes! Thank you for your valuable feedback
Good narration but please try not to swallow some words when you speak. Try and speak slowly, enunciating every word. Otherwise well edited and researched content.
Thanks for your valuable feedback. Well noted👍
I switched off the show when i realized comedians perpetuate their presentations based on tribal jokes, a divisive mindset this country doesn't need. Its so lame and out-of-touch
I concur. Thanks for watching and commenting

Nonsense, they misused incomes.
Seems :(
You guys call 20k per show little money.. 90%+ government employees hawafiki huko hataa... wako hapa 30-70k..
The 'lack of knowledge'
Not really a sad end...The show just ran it's course...walishakafunga ya kutosha
Seems like it
But churchill has huge investments on a personal level? I thoight he pays well... sad...
Yes. Thanks for watching and commenting
Those are his investments if you don't make personal investments don't blame your boss
I think you don't have anything to do better,Churchill is a platform..
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I think people are wrong here. Churchill show still continues.
Is it televised?
@@OngoriReports it's not. Reason being of disagreements in contract. Actually in your report you say TV47 terminated their contract rather it was Churchill management that did it. TV47 failed to honour the contract resulting to that. It's not televised now but they do it once in a while not like how it used to be every Thursday.
Iko carnii?I wanna try my luck

most of them are not wise because mostly someone teaches how to fish and now you want him to give you fish lost generation. go back to the bible and quran learn from there.
This is a good jealous and propagadas
Okay :)
Churchill show is dead..
Propaganda, why is Erick Omondi successful yet he went through Churchill's hands? You've been given platform be creative and manage your finances well.
Yes. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Churchill's work was to give them a platform
Most of these comedians are always poor money users
See, most rush to buy cars and screw women yet they only work for about 5 mins in the entire week, only on churchill show
Most dont even have an NHIF card
Exactly! Artists need to embrace money management. Thank you for watching and commenting
