@realmattnuzzo which bolts are you using to mount the armstrong perf mast? the M8 or M6?

How does it compare to stoke?

Totally different products. We feel that the FD is for the enthusiast and the Stoke is for someone that wants to dip their toe into the water. The Stoke is pretty simple and you can mount it on to any set up. It has some quirks to it that took us a bit of learning. The FD is a more advanced product that is better set to your specific rigging. FD has better trigger actuation and power settings. We have seen the Stoke customer begin with it and then grow out of it. The FD customer begins with it and then becomes a full time Foil Driver.

So ,I am having a hard time with this FD absolute dominance of the foil industry space.Last month you did a good review on what FD and Stoke were ,and told us to wait and be careful with this new products, etc,,Now FD has a commercial review by its on.
No conspiracy here ,but is it that much better than Stoke? It's worth the 6k ? What's going on here, why is everybody on the FD and no one talks about stoke?

Good questions. Simply put, the FD Gen 2 is for power assist enthusiast and the Stoke is more targeted to beginners that will
use it then leave it. FD has been at this game for longer than Stoke so they have worked out more of their kinks too. Both systems have some specific nuances for the application that you are using them for as we discussed in our first video. I think what you are seeing online is that some of the top foil surf riders are now adopting the FD and applying it to the top levels of what we are seeing in foiling.

@@REALmattnuzzo thanks Matt , so having more than enough wind and waves as I have here in the canary islands ,winging is quite dial already, but I would like to speed up my learning in Sup downwind, do you think any of these two would work for that?

@@user-ct6wp6rk8t yes for DW these will help a lot. I would go for the Foildrive if that is your goal as the pod is a lot smaller so easier entry and exit from powered to not. Also you will end up riding a much smaller board for DW.

@@user-ct6wp6rk8t Yes. Foil drive will for sure speed up your DW sessions. It is easy to get up and going once you practice for a session or two.
