Thanks for the great suggestions, Brandon! 🙌🏾
Also, I didn’t know about MPB until a few months ago when I was looking to finally upgraded to the Red platform and I absolutely love this website and those guys they are awesome and I will definitely be ordering from them in the future
Nice review, thanks :) I fell in love with these Irix lenses
I really want to get a set of those IRIX lenses. They look awesome. Also, many thanks for the shoutout bro!
Killer video bro, I wish you would've put links in the description so I didn't have to google lol
Dang dude! Great video.
Yes! Finally! Thanks for this one.
No problem!
Instant sub for another brandon 😂🎉
Hi Brandon, i have almost the full Canon RF L line-up for photographie (including the 28-70 F2), but i'm considering a cinema lenses (like the IRIX) for my video production. Does this have an interest ? Or should i stay with my Canon RF lenses ? Thanks
I agree with the opinion about Irix with one big caveat; Irix Cine 21 mm has not any internal thread, you can not even use magnetic filters on that. Therefore you can use it only with the matte box. Irix offers its own matte box, but it turnes out, that it is causing vignetting on this particular lens.... So finally you can use only standard matte box with big 4x5.65 filters.
Have you tried Zeiss Milvus lenses? I'm blown away by the rendering but I wish it had gears.
Love MBP, have both sold and purchased used gear with them, and they seem pretty reliable. Great business model.
The only drawback is they tend to not buy/trade offbrand items. Stuff a lot of small filmmakers on shoestring budgets tend to buy because its less expensive.
They wouldn't even make an offer on a used Tascam recorder in excellent condition, nor my two Godox 160w LED cobs, also in excellent condition. In short, your gear better be name brand. Not sure how either Tascam or Godox doesn't fall into this category, but there you have it anyway.
Good to know!
Great video. But can you tell me what monitors you use?
Nice graphics! Did you do them from scratch?
I wanna try out the Xeen kit on my raven I keep hearing great things about them
I’d add the vespid primes to this. Thanks for this video
That’s probably a good call I’ve heard great things I just haven’t had personal experience with them.
How about doing a video on the RED Komodo -- operation, rigging up, media, capture options, lenses etc, overall cost
Working on some more Komodo X content now
@@bwashmedia I just caught up with your previous videos on the Red Komodo X. Very helpful
Hello bro, could you please review the Nisi Athena Cine lenses
I’ve been using the SLR MAGIC MICROPRIME’S 35 and 50.
OP. Really? I would not have thought of this!!!!
just bought a xeen 35 on mpb recently before even watching this video 😂😂 i love mpb
Just got my Zhongyis coming Monday 🙏🏾🙏🏾 loved their FF line
Nice! Bro we need to get together and shoot something!
@@bwashmedia 1000% man I’m here for it, soon man !
Hello sir
I bought black magic 6k G2 recently but I am confusing to buy cine lens for 6k G2. I don't have enough money for buy 3 or 4 lenses. So i kindly request you to suggest me one budget and standard lens for my 6k G2. I am from India.
I picked up a set of the Sirui Nightwalker Cine lenses $899.00 for the set of three. Great starter set.
I’ve always wondered how the were at that price. I know they are are s35 lenses but good to hear they are still quality.
Rokinon 24mm & 85mm Cine 👌🏽
No entiendo cómo no tienes miles de likes.
I want the COOKE LOOK 😩
I just picked up a 2011 vintage Canon 300PL cinema camcorder here in 2024. This one specifically "needs" the PL lenses which I sort of knew would be crazy priced. I missed out on buying the other Canon C300s EF mount camera that this person had so i bought this sort of as a desparate move. Your video here didn't mention any PL lenses so I was kinda' disappointed.
Hey Brandon, thanks for all the great contents. I have a canon r6 which is full frame. Will these lenses work with it or they just for S35 sensors?
They are all full frame lenses.
Thanks Brandon. I appreciate your prompt reply.
Video production equipment can be expensive 😅😅 thanks for the video and tips.
Trust me I know lol I’ve spent way too much!
prebooked nisi athena 😍
I can vouch for the IRIX lenses. Incredible value. Too bad they suck at filling the rest of the set.
Well the 65 is coming in October and hopefully a 85 is coming soon after that 🤷🏾♂️
Let's hope it was supposed to be here in February@@bwashmedia
Good overview, but how is DZO not on that list?
The only dzos I’ve used is the catta zooms and I’m not sure if they qualify as “budget” but I’m sure dzo has great images too
@@bwashmedia I think they're pretty much the same price as the IRIX lenses.. not sure though
What are your thoughts on the Nisi Athena primes?
A good friend of mine has them and has been raving about them! Just haven’t gotten my hands on them yet.
@@bwashmedia Thanks for answering!
Nisi Athena are not sharp corner to corner, they have more of a vintage look
Can I use the irix on my R6 Mark 2?
Yup
Hollywood: Shooting a 3 hours movie and all the shots are on the same lens.
You: shooting a 5 mins video and replacing 3 lenses few times....
U never know what’s contrived
"Budget Lens"
-1100 EUR
Lmao
For not petting up the prices makes your videos so boring
Sirui nightwalker!!!!
