I almost bought the Xiaomi 13 because it is the phone size I been looking for but I 14 was released recently and had it pre-order in my local xiaomi concept store. Will be getting it here in the Philippines by March 7. Can't wait to use it. Thank you for this review!

@@robenwendellquicoy5956 So far so good. I been looking for a small phone that has flagship specs and this is it. Also the camera is good. Battery life is decent it can last more day with still 20-30% with business usage like frequent calls,emails and browsing. Though I don't worry to much because of its fast charging capabilities. Fingerprint magnet lang tlga ang unit ko na green, though been using the free screen every since.
PS: My watch s3 na I got free is always connected via Bluetooth sa phone ko so I think it can last longer if Bluetooth is off. 5G consumes a lot of battery though but just enough to go through a day.

@@Astra_Z17 Yes, nag fo-fogging tlga, pero sa akin sa telephoto lense lang. Usually it occurs paglabas ko ng sasakyan or malls. Malamig to mainit na lugar. Pero Since nag-lens protector ako din na sya nag occu so far.
I will buy this phone next month. Let's hope devs will build some custom ROMs for it soon. It will be the perfect device you mentioned at the end of the video: Xiaomi 14 hardware + Pixel/AOSP Software.
P.S. Right now I'm using Xiaomi 12 + Evolution X (AOSP ROM) and it's very good ! 4500mah battery, 67W charging, 8gen1 cpu + better software experience and way better battery backup (maybe 2 hrs more screen on time compared to MIUI/HyperOS)

Check for the current Android 14 buds. There used to be the NateLite one, but seems to not be compatible with Android 14.
Great review as always 😊 Such a pity it costs so much, as otherwise I'd be buying it as my next phone, but now I'm going to check out other brands instead... iQOO 12 Pro, or Nubia Z50S Pro are great contenders for amazing phones at a midrange cost.
The latest Honor models are quite interesting too.
The price is what?? Stuff like the abundant hardware power, case and very fast charger included are welcome but still its alot they're asking. Otherwise it's looking like a decent device, maybe on a big sale

I’m thinking to buy it in china, cause I’m here, and I’m really curious, being at mi store I’ve installed google play market from the original mi app, in Chinese rom, also found switcher for “enable google play services”. Then I want to know, is it necessary to change rom to the global or eu? I have a feeling that I still won’t be able to use google for 100%, some features as an assistant by default or sth else?
There is the Xiaomi . EU ROM that can help. But there always are certain drawbacks if you go for a Chinese model with flashed ROM.

does it overheats on normal usages? and what about lens fogging issue after water submerge
xiaomi 14 user here. normal usages no overheating. during charging possible, just don't use your phone during charging. gaming extensively definitely makes it heat up. not a severe issue tho, play in front of a fan or simply put ur phone in front of a fan and itll cool down in not even a minute. for lens fogging issue, just DONT put it into water. simple. has an ip68 rating but technology is never meant to touch water. just be careful.
Non overheating at all. Sure, it may get warm, but that's something to be seen with most other smartphones these days.
How is your battery experience? How much charge do you have left on the end of the day with average ussage?
I think Xiaomi should bring the AI Ultra-Zoom feature on this device (currently supported on Xiaomi 14 Ultra) to support the glorious 3.2x camera.
Battery life depends on multiple factors. In my case it was rather fine, but nothing too exciting. It can last though the day though.
The low light performance is pretty good

hey im about to buy this if u can respond asap id appreciate it bud. What is the global version?? as in what versions can i buy ? X14 256gb 8gb ram? X14 256GB 12gb ram? X14 512GB 12GB ? is the 1TB version or 16 GB available for global ? or is the max X14 512GB 12GB RAM ?
The global version is the one intended for international markets. There is also the Chinese version which so e people reflash and also sell globally. Better check you or country's official Xiaomi website

Nice video, i bought the xiaomi 14 pro 1tb 16gb version back in november from china for 700euros. Iam more than happy with what i got for my money, english langueage and google works on the chinese variant too but yeah it took me like 3 hours deleting chinese apps and play around with settings to get to the point where i was able to enjoy it. It comes with a 120w fast charger and a bluetooth earbuds. They also included a nice notes book and a beautiful pen. I wanted the white version but my case is gray so iam only unhappy about that. Screen protector applied in factory also a nice touch. The camera is genious probably the best phone camera in low light conditions so far. I love the costumization and all the extra functions. This is the perfetct phone!! Nothing gets even close to this price/value ratio. My next phone defenetly going to be a xiaomi if they continue this trend.

You should try tempered glass from smart devil. Its reaaaalllllyyy goood. Fingerprint is not a problem and face id is superb eventhough it cover the front camera. Its cheap too
Hi I would like to ask as someone who live in the philippines will there be a huge difference between the global and Chinese rom of this device regarding of data connectivity? I really like this phone and the global rom has 7-8k gap between the Chinese rom is it worth to spend more on global rom variant? I want to know your thoughts if you know anything regarding this concern, thank you!
The Chinese ROM has no google services and is very different
In terms of connectivity, no.
In fact ung global X14 has 1 missing LTE band sa DITO, whereas the Chinese X14 kompleto sya.
Google services are actually built-in sa CH model but you'd have to go sa Xiaomi "Get Apps Store" na app and update the Play Store and Play Service so that it will show up sa homescreen.
The only con sa Google Services in the CH rom is No Android Auto and No Quick share.
Default messaging and call apps are Mi Dialer and Mi Messages instead of Google Messages and Google Dialer.
Netflix is Widevine L1 certified. My banking apps work fine (BDO, Metrobank, Unionbank).
The only major major con for CH rom users for us in the Philippines is that if you want to unlock the bootloader to install custom ROMs, need ka magbayad ng $80 via a thirdparty.
Xiaomi has made all Xiaomi phones in China that came with HyperOS difficult to unlock.
Global Xiaomi phones are unaffected (so you can still use the good ol free but wait for 1 week method).

I believe it will be available at most retailers. Should be early April if I am not mistaken.

Yeah! Most people won't mind 1-2 extra mms
then no one would buy new phones, the biggest reason for switching from an old to a new one is the worse condition of the battery

Maybe the 15 comes out new year will have 7 year's Software and security updates, plus more colours available, and a good size should be 6.5 inches , if any one wants a smaller vision, they should create a mini version which will be 6.1
I feel that they should keep this size. There's the Ultra and there might be the Pro as well.
Whats "bootloader" thing? Why would you need it?
So e people like to flash custom roms or custom kernels. And you need to unlock the bootloader in order to do so.

Yes. Not as good as Pixel and Galaxy S series, but it is far better than Xiaomi 13. I have a 2-year kiddo at home and he is the perfect benchmark

It's USB 3.0 and Notebookcheck measured it to be capable at least to ~310MB/s transfer rate.
(USB 3.1 and 3.2 are mostly just rebranding same old so that marketing scums can claim advance when there isn't)

Both are good phones. I feel that the Xiaomi's hardware is better though.
The HyperOS restricted too much stuffs, I cannot set default apps, using launcher will totally disable Navi gestures. When open site it will keep using mi browser instead of the one you want to use. Hardware is good but software is totally not.
You can still set default apps. It is a little hidden, but we'll possible.
How does it compare to Google Pixel 8?
I am about to test the cameras side by side as soon as possible. Performance of the processor is a little better.

In malaysia the 14 cost from £680 and oneplus cost from whopping £900 eventhough both are chinese. Then in the west the Oneplus is cheaper. It should come to how the company pricing in the region based on tariff, target region, and all other factor.
Maybe also depends on licenses and patents. 14's price in Malaysia is awesome.
Finally I thought this time I will go for the Samsung S24 plus, but they put the shit Exynos in the Europe version!! I will order the Xiaomi 14, compact flagship and also nice to have is fast charging (included in the box)!!

If Xiaomi will just go back to its roots as to why they were *"Value for Money"* they once was, by removing those brands collabs, celebrity endorsements, crazy marketing and focus on the phone specs like before, then price could've been lowered.
As much as I would like them to go back into their past strategy, doing it will not give them enough funds to improve other things like their software. Yes HyperOs might not yet satisfy everyone for now but at least it will be a stepping stone for future enhancements

The price is not right. The phone is very good matching the price to our Samsung and other international brands are not correct because we don't buy these other phones with their actual prices. We always have significant discounts on these phones at launch and periodically after launch.

i've seen this phone in stores (middle east) goes for 800€ for the 512Gb versin with a pack of free gifts that includes a gimbal tripod, leather cover and a magnetic wallet. i'm buying it. Always been a Samsung user, but they are getting expensive, no charger, 25w charging speed and a very bad battery life.
Samsung devices actually have a very good battery life.
@@TechMishka Not mine, i have an S21 fe, my wife have the S21, both the same problem, after 1 year of use, i get 10H of use at best out of a 100% battery. not good.

I feel that it might be more than that - some patents do not require royalties in China, but may require such for other regions. But yeah, costs a lot...

Too bad it runs on a mediocre Android skin with childish Chinese colours that doesn't allow swipe gestures in conjunction with 3rd party launchers. Moreover it looks like an interesting phone. However, I'll stick to my 13 Pro.

The same ugly model apple did with iphone 4, you can't start the music app with the bluetooh headphone (marshal, JBL or the ones with cables), you can't turn of the clock larm with the smart watch (Huawei runner GT), and this ugly thing is not for people with big hands,the fast batteri charge Uuuuh, who need that, when we all have charger every where, i will fix the screen of my Huawei P30pro and return this crap
