Wow. Spot on! I’ve been the loser in most of the games that contradict The Honor Game. And, as a result, I’ve learned how to play some of the same games that have hurt me. Thank you for the reminder that the only game that matters is the one where everyone wins. The one that my Lord and Savior played every day of his mortal life. The “game” that points others to HIM.
Thank you, Andy. As an extreme introvert, relationships have most definitely been the hardest part of life for me. As someone who struggles with a lot of selfishness, relationships have been very difficult. I will do my best to honor others, even when I feel dishonored... but, crap, that's hard. This week, God, how did you know?
Some questions you might want to consider. What makes your honor effort(s) to others genuinely authentic vs inauthentic? What happens when people label your honoring effort(s) as inauthentic? How does this honoring another work optimally, when you're only one person with a finite amount of energy/ resources, vs. you're trying to give everyone/everything around you 101%+? What I've sadly learned is, you need to have safe boundaries for yourself and for others. Example 1: It would be amazing if you could donate all your money to others, but alas you need money to live off of. Or example 2: You are being asked to do something unethical, unsafe. Hope you address in future videos, or this gives you ideas for future. Interesting main concept though, something I'll consider trying to some degree.
Any ideas on the root cause of competitiveness?
Sometimes pride, but not always. I believe sport competition can be for the sheer delight of matching strength to strength. May the best man win.

This message makes total sense when you insert Jesus’ actions of making himself less than for us. I want to do the same for my spouse of 34 years. We are currently discussing separation. How do I do honor without transmitting approval of actions that have deeply wounded me for which there is no remorse?
It doesnt matter if we walk in honor to God. Spirit flowing through you, you need not be identified with or as anything but accepted by the beloved❤
