I got extended old ram van that's rated to tow 7k but wouldn't wanna to that at all. I like 5 wide as with tire/axle is same width of van. I stupidity sold my 5x10 h&h few years back and am seeking new trailer, had long bed truck at time but wanna go little bigger but with van gotta not go very big if I wanna go over 40mph. Single 6x12 5.2 axle I towed not maxed out but close was wonky so figured tandem but can't do 7k. Came across dexter 2.2k axles but nobody puts them on as tandem. Think a 5.5x12 or 5x14 with tandem 2.2 axles would be perfect for my van as is in that i probably could get it to do 7k but not without much cost.
