I don't often do review videos but as Ben & Jerry's have created something new....I thought we'd sit down and have a look.
If you read this BEFORE watching the video, you'll find out that I am NOT a fan of either of these tubs for a few reasons.
The lack of flavour in each is disappointing for me and the huge overrun in the top, although completely expected, is just a big tasteless money saving mess.
Thankfully, Ben & Jerry's are a great company and have so many amazing flavours, I'm sure they won't mind if I don't like these đ đ
I am going to try and get my hands on the other 2 versions as one is vegan which I am also very interested in trying.

Just a thing I found out recently if a company uses words like chocolatey or milk chocolate flavoured the product doesn't have enough coco nibs or coco products in it to be legally sold as chocolate
Thatâs really Interesting, thanks for sharing. Itâs a shame the taste of the chocolatey stuff just isnât there.

Ever since the pandemic suppliers are cutting back on their product volumes, sizes, at least in the states. But of course the prices increase
Itâs a sad truth thatâs for sure. We also had Brexit here to top it off.
I wouldnât have minded so much if the Whipped Top had a flavour! At least it would be âsomethingâ rather than half a tub of nothing.

Been kicking around making a fresh ginger ice cream with a custard base. It is my go to when I visit Thai restaurants as that is the only place where you can find it in my area. Boston being one of the best. Any thoughts as in using fresh baby ginger vs store bought minced ginger in the jars? Infusion ginger in the boil then adding again to the cooled mix prior to churning. Ratio is my concern
I have never made a ginger base to be honest. I imagine steeping the dairy with fresh ginger is better than pre-chopped. As for the add in, why not try something like a ginger jam?
@@PolarIceCreamery worth a try. Never heard of ginger jam. Will have to resource that. Does sound good though!
@@PolarIceCreamery I found a CZcams that makes Jurassic park ginger ice cream. She steeps the ginger in the base to develop a sweetness and then she adds the chopped or minced for the heat effect. Will have to try both. Want to try this before WW3 breaks out!

Totally agree.These are well overpriced and seriously lacking in the flavour department.Have tried them all *on sale) and wouldn`t waste money buying them again,
Some people love them it appears but hey, theyâre not for me either.
