I see your point but for many Africans, the traditional African marriage is considered the most important even more important than state/legal/church marriage. So it is likely that the male victims had traditionally married then divorced his estranged wife and considered the marriage over. He had also likely traditionally married the girlfriend and they would have had the legal/western marriage as soon as the divorce was over. So in the communities wife, the estranged wife was now an ex and he had a new wife. But it looks really messy from an outsider’s perspective especially him being a pastor’s son. But it probably wouldn’t have made a difference. The estranged wife was also in a relationship yet she got her boyfriend to kill her husband. She couldn’t move on.

@@wiggly103 1. When in Rome, you do as the Romans do; Seth married an American FIRST. He should have cut ties with her COMPLETELY including changing the locks and having her mail sent to her new address.
      2. If Seth was going by African tradition, then he should have stuck to that and not accepted money from this woman. People, especially men, tend to overlook that women who invest in you expect a return on their investment, a return meaning a lifetime commitment. By the time they invest in improving you, they have failed to find a finished product out there so they make the monetary and physical sacrifice to make their own dreams come true. To leave that woman for any reason is to sign your own death warrant!
      3. A marital relationship is between TWO people; what TF is this nonsense of her brother living with you all? That is just trouble waiting to happen, that is a given. Living in the US as opposed to living in Africa does not change the dynamic that there can be many cows in a kraal but there can be only one bull in a kraal, there can be several lionesses in a pride but there can be only one lion in a pride, ... Even animals know that!
      4. People need to go back to living their lives discreetly; this social media business of flaunting all your life's milestones on social media invites unwanted attention. There was no way that first woman was going to sit by and let the man that she took from being a poor immigrant butcher to a corporate executive living in a gated community, let him take all that and reward it to another woman. People have killed for a lot less!
I do not condone the killing of these two people but I also do not condone stupidity and assumptions; do your due diligence and THINK!

They don't care if you are from the same country as them, all they want is to get their documents and everything you can offer and get to the next woman. The lesson here is, do not build a man up, it never ends well. They have to do the work. The heartbreak 💔 is beyond words explainable. because is not just the money and time but your heart, feelings. This is such a generalization!! Though it is frowned upon & uncommon does not mean there are not men that fell in love with a woman that's older!! As a matter of fact, majority of african marriages, the men are older which means majority of tragedies in african marriages are between an older man and younger wife! Just that when it happens between a younger man & older woman, the assumptions come out!! My grandmother was 7 years older than my grandfather, they were happily married until my grandfather passed away at 78!!

@Angel.Kariba the African men who marries American women are not even close to what you explaining. It is frown upon and it will always be. Africans value a women who will expand the family. A 20 year old young men marrying a 50 year old women. Awa what love is that. I stand by my point they marry those women for financial gain with the hope that the women will pass on quickly so they can inherited all the wealth. Sheila scammed herself. If your own men won’t marry you, why would you expect a younger, foreign man to marry you?! People need to think about themselves critically before getting in these relationships. The same reasons a black American man never married her are the same reasons an African man won’t either. So, when he asks for your hand in marriage you should ask yourself WHY??? Why me? Men from his culture prefer younger, women from their culture. Why is he hooking up with an old American broad like me?
This is just like those women sending millions to young, handsome “African princes”, doctors etc that they’ve never met. Then go running around saying they got scammed. No baby you scammed yourself. Your self esteem was so high that you really thought a young “African prince” overseas was in love with your old, fat behind.
What many of these people who fall for these scams need is an honest friend who’ll tell it like it is.

From a true OG. As adults we take responsibility for what we choose to do or give in a relationship knowing that the desired outcome is no guarantee. No one owes us anything based on what we give or spend. If things don’t work you dust yourself off, man or woman, and get back out there. Much of the drama comes from people wanting what they don’t qualify for.
Learn to love who’s willing to love you. However, that would be too much like right. We humans can really be a joke at times. Truly emotionally damaged, and self centered creatures. Facts!
