    My original design for the Sonoff Programming Adapter had a power switch on it, but the switches turned out to be rubbish quality so I put on pin headers instead.
    Now I've updated the design based on feedback in the forum, so they'll have a normally-closed button in the power line and will ship with both a socket and a pin header so that you can decide which one you want to install.

    Jon, how about a pogo pin mod? I have some of the AU PowerPoint adapters and the board isn't removable for soldering a header (as far as I can tell).

      That was my original plan before I laid out the first version. I think it would be very handy but it would be a nightmare for me to assemble, and it would be too much of a pain to expect customers to do it

    Is this applicable for devices that aren't the original version of the Sonoff Basic? Maybe flying leads from the downstream end?
    From what I read, ITead are changing things fairly rapidly, these days...
    Maybe time for an update to your excellent 'Program any Sonoff' to take in the new models, as we now have the R2 and R3 versions of the Basic?

    Please put some sonoff mini programmers up. I will buy it. I can solder the normal sonoff but I'm bad at the mini. It's so damn small :(

    Do you have any idea if the stock Sonoff Basic software can be uploaded to a standard little ESP-01 board? Or any of the other ESP boards?

    Hi SuperHouse, sorry but i dont see why this programmer adapter thing should be used.
    Its an 10 sec process so its easy to just plug it in and your are done.
    I reflashed 17 sonoff units lately, and it was fast.

  • @Kandersen01

    2:15 minute..The pins on the socket looks quite long. Couldnt you just bend those pin 90 degree, and then leave them. Then you have both pinheader and socket in one... Well just an idea.

      There's a link to the GitHub repo on the page for the board, which includes all the design files. There's also an entire video and tutorial page talking about the principles behind it here: www.superhouse.tv/30-reflash-any-sonoff/

    What's the Sonoff version of a unit that can dim?

    • @SuperHouseTV
      @SuperHouseTV  Před 5 lety +2

      As far as I know, there isn't a Sonoff with dimming yet. They all have relay outputs. Making a universal dimmer is a remarkably hard problem now that we have such a variety of lighting technologies. It was much easier when everything was incandescent.

      @GeorgeGraves Před 5 lety

      @@SuperHouseTV Sorry. I worded that question poorly. What I was meaning to ask is....what is a cheap, but decent quality unit (like the Sonoff) that does dimming that you recommend.
